Came here after watching Andrew Zimmern IG. Of course, I got myself a French Dip. NGL, not the best one I ever had but it is up to the hype. Soft bun, plenty of meat and the dipping sauce is prepared well. I will come again for their smash burger and the fancy (foot long) dog.

Hands down the best french dip I've ever had! This is one of those sandwiches you spend your life looking for and it delivers! It was super busy and I hope the business allows them to expand their operations but the staff were all very professional. 10/10, can't wait to go back!

Super friendly staff, easily walkable for neighbors, great selection of food & drinks. Fantastic old school deli vibes inside with cool painted walls and fresh local bread. Run by a family, the wife (Lou herself) is a butcher, and her husband Tim is a chef. Really lovely and welcoming people. Cannot wait to come here regularly and also get some meat! Lox bagel was incredible with dried onions, dill, dill cream cheese (omg), Mogi bagels (I got the everything - def recommend), and fried capers. The red wolf chai is local and super tasty. I got it with a shot of espresso and iced and I'm really happy with it. It's not too sweet and you can really taste the spices. Lovely! Definitely recommend this spot for locals and visitors to the area alike.

Welcome to St. Louis Park, Sweet Lou's! I live in the neighborhood and I am SO happy to have you just down the road! Their breakfast sandwich with garlic aioli is legendary, and you must get it with a crispy hashbrown-delicious! They have breakfast and lunch menus, with one fan favorite being the French dip with au jus- can't wait to come back and try it! The shop also features some wonderful local products such as Marguerite's fresh bread and a variety of meats and cheeses at the deli counter. Great prices, service, and cheese selection. They have a few tables for you to grab a coffee and sandwich and hang out. Did I mention they even have an espresso machine? Try the caramel latte, it's great! I'll be visiting again soon for sure!

What a perfect time to try it? We entered after taking a picture outside and it was a deli paradise. Lots of beef and pork and they even had pierogies. Looking back, I should have tried a package. Locally made. They have a ton of cheesesteak options, I went with the pastrami for my first foray into PaPa Q's happiness quotient. We walked around the store while my meal was being prepped. They had tons of local hot sauces and salsas and it was all good stuff. About 5 minutes later they gave me a sleeve of sub and it reminded me of when I was a kid and I would go with my dad to TOGO's in California and their awesome subs with avocado on it. Good times. They said I could get a little side salad too, so my wonderful wife suggested the broccoli, bacon and kale salad. It was a total hit. Not to much bacon, but you could tell it was there. I have learned during COVID that when you bring a dish home, always nuke it for 30 to 60 seconds. I did, The thing was humongous, my wife cut it into thirds to last the weekend. The sandwich had a lot of coleslaw on top of not too salty pastrami and a chewy bread. A toasted bread would be my only recommendation to make it better, but this was a solid hoagie. Great service and a local place. I am glad we went! Try it out!

We tried two half sandwiches, the papastrami and the jerk chicken cheese steaks. They were a good size for one person but i definitely would look into adding on sides or going for a whole if you've got a big appetite. The pastrami was not too salty and definitely gave you your money's worth of meat, that being said this was a messy but delicious meal! The jerk chicken cheese steak delivered a slightly sweet and juicy sandwich with a slew of tasty toppings. I was craving Mac and cheese but unfortunately they didn't have it on the menu so I went with the macaroni salad which was creamy and tasty if you're into pasta salads. Didn't quite fill the void but was still a good addition Sandwiches come with chips or a cookie. The cookies are pretty big and taste fresh so if you've got a sweet tooth I'd go for it! All in all good food for a good price. Didn't quite fit the traditional BBQ cravings we had in mind but we for sure found a new go to deli and cheese steak place!

That said, they seem to have all the usual TJ items you see at all the locations. I went there for some veggies, some kids snacks, and a couple other things, and was able to find them all. The staff was really nice and chatted up my son at the checkout and gave him some stickers. The one tough spot here is the parking. The lot is both tiny and very tight. It is hard to get around if you are there after work or on a Saturday. There is additional parking nearby, but you may have to spend extra time looking and then walking over.

There is a blind alley within the alley and a stop sign as soon as you would enter. And I thought the St Paul location was the tight and dangerous fender bender joy spot! It now ranks second. On to the store. Same items but there seemed to be more snacks than I've seen at other Joe's, and those with a creative seductive 'pick me' look. Lemons and limes in the bins were getting kind of soft and wrinkly, something I've never seen at TJs. There are many check out lines and on a weekday morning they were all open. Still staff has the usual happy trader smile and have something friendly to say,

It was packed with customers (Saturday lunch, go figure). The line moved very slowly and there was a lot of chaos behind the counter. A bunch of people ordered grilled sandwiches which bogged things down a bit. We were in line for what seemed like forever, even the mobile order people were waiting. I got something simple, a regular-sized ham & provolone. It was made quickly, so I am not sure why everything else took so long. I will say that even in the chaos, the staff kept the sandwich building area nice and tidy. The sandwich was decent, just like Jimmy John's, IMO. The staff was a bit harried, but they were still very nice to us.

However, the cashier became quite proactive about getting me to check out before my sandwich was even finished--I wonder why--perhaps to be efficient? Or perhaps so his sandwich making colleague could size up my gratuity before finishing making my sandwich. Well, based on the following experience, you be the judge. While the cashier was ringing up my order--the keypad suggested a default tip amount beginning at 22%. Really? Ok fine. So I manually entered a gratuity of $2 because I thought that was generous for putting together a $17 sandwich. Instead of being grateful for my $2 tip, the cashier began taunting me by repeating "boo boo boo" directed to his colleague before I even collected my receipt from him. This was not a misunderstanding. This was outrageously rude. Seriously, professionalize your team.
