I loved the energy as I walked into Brooke's! I was like a kid in a candy story, except it was seafood! And I love seafood! Felt like I was in Fisherman's wharf, San Fran!! The scallops and shrimp I bought were delicious! I will go back!! Joa

    Amazing smoked fish selection!

Wow, what a great addition to the west side! They have a complete selection of fresh fish and other seafood. Clams, oysters, mussels, lobster and more. All kinds of fresh fish including whole fish. Their smoked fish section is amazing. Try the smoked salmon nuggets! They also have a good grocery section. All types of sauces, sausages, and frozen items too. The staff is very friendly and super knowledgeable. Will be back frequently.

I bought a fillet of Black Cod/Sable from Brookies and pan seared the skin and then the meat side after marinading it in miso, marin wine and saki. It was 100% like what I would get at a high end restaurant downtown Mpls. Brookies has it all, wide variety of East side oysters, clams, shrimp, all sorts of fresh fish. I obviously love it. The photo is if my black cod dressed with fresh ginger planks and with home made mac and cheese and fresh pan grilled asparagas.

The staff were extremely friendly. They cut the pieces and introduced the different fishes. It is very helpful to a traveler from other country. Thanks!

Wonderful service and truly fresh fish. We got the sushi grade fish and everything tasted wonderful with our at-home nigiri. Price was reasonable. Tuna and scallops were my favorite!

I stopped in here a while ago just to browse and had a great experience. I was greeted and had a nice chat with whoever was behind the counter. The products that were stocked looked nice & so did the fish available to buy. It's not too fancy inside so it's not intimidating, plus the service was extremely welcoming. Great spot to support local, buy seafood, & pick up any dry pantry goods you might need.

Crab cakes - bought frozen, browned the sides with some butter and put in the oven for about 15 minutes

This place is such a refreshing addition to the neighborhood. Everyone who works here has been very helpful and knowledgeable and the selection is great. I loved the crab cakes; you can buy them frozen or just refrigerated and cook at home. I recently moved from Maryland and can attest that these are the real deal (all crab and minimal filler).

Being 5 minutes from our destination we decided to give it a try And boy are we glad we did! The sammiches weee absolutely outstanding. They come with a smorgasbord of toppings, so you need to peruse the list to determine if there is anything you DON'T want. We had three turkey sammiches and one ham, and everyone chose to modify their toppings slightly (note/ if you desire tomatoes, those need to be added as they oddly aren't on included in the smorgasbord ‍) I opted for everything - perhaps a bit anxious about how well all the flavours would mesh (mayo, mustard, horseradish, oil and vinegar along with various toppings). But you know something / it worked really really well. We also chose the potato salad as a side and it was also quite tasty. Lighter, northerly mayo's. While the sammiches weee being constructed we perused the offering in the attached grocery. Everything oooed fantastic and if we lived Locally, I would certainly be a regular - with an eye to trying many of their offerings beyond the sandwich counter.

On one side is a meat market with a variety of cuts of steaks, lamb, and other meats, which all looked fresh and quite nice. They also have a variety of items such as canned goods, pasta, eggs, etc. on the shelves opposite the meat counter. The entire place is quite sunny, pleasant, and cozy. On the other side is the eat-in, take-out deli sandwiches, that are made to order. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The bread is freshly made (crispy baguette type) and you have a choice of Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Tuna Salad, Smoked Ham, or Corned Beef. All sandwiches are $16.50 each (including tax) and come with a choice of mayonnaise, spicy stone ground mustard, red leaf lettuce, thin sliced red onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, raw grated horseradish, pickled jalapeno, and roasted bell pepper. The default includes all toppings so if you don't want everything, be sure to specify what you do NOT want. Surprisingly, they do not carry any diet soda, nor do they stock any national brands (only local pop). There is a large menu on the wall, and you order at the counter and pick up the order (no table service). The food was attractively presented, and very, very good. My only gripe (besides the lack of diet pop) is that it's on the expensive side for lunch. Two sandwiches, a couple of bags of chips, and a couple of cans of pop will easily top $40, although I'd say the quality is top-notch.

**July 2025: Sunday Morning Visit**…read more This is such a great Farmer Market and I'm so glad that I visited. On our last day in Minneapolis I happen to notice that we'd be able to attend this Sunday event. Farmers Markets in California all range in size so I didn't really know what to expect for this one - holy cow! It was huge and lots of different local things. They had Minnesota grown produce, handmade products, fresh flowers, baked good and so much more. I was introduced to Ty's Gingseng (https://www.tysginseng.com/) who grows and sells 6 year old ginseng powder - which is very high quality. I also bought relish from Red Ron's as well as some sausage links from another vendor. To be honest I probably could have spent at least 1.5 hours here if I wanted to really study all the booths and check everything out, but we had brunch plans and needed to depart within 45 mins. I would love to come back to support small! FYI: There's metered parking

Soooo much top notch produce here, nothing like all the withering away produce you find in the grocery store. There is also a couple meat and cheese vendors. And if you're a little hungry, you can find bagels, Mexican food, BBQ and more, as well as a couple coffee stands. Plenty of parking around.

The employee didn't let me mail a package that the label couldn't fit on saying that they can't wrap the label around the box, this is incorrect as the USPS does this for me all the time with no issues and I've been doing this for years with other packages. Appears they aren't trained well on what the USPS does allow. If you are anywhere north of 62, it can be tough to find a place where you can get things - a cheap breakfast, groceries, flowers, donuts, something to bring for a birthday party or cookout. Enter Jerry's. I come here quite a lot for all of the above reasons. On our way somewhere, "oh we need to get...." is followed by, "let's go to Jerry's". It is not the cheapest, it doesn't have a lot of the brands I buy regulalry, but it always is there in a pinch with some solution. The staff here are great, too. One time, I was wandering with a lost look on my face and a staff member said, "hey do you need some help?" and then proceeded to dig something out of the back for me. That was awesome.
