I ordered on the app. I am less than 2 miles away. They won't deliver to me??? Ok. I'll order for pickup. I spend $36 on 2 sandwich's. I get a notification that my order is ready for pickup before I get there. GUESS WHAT?? It isn't ready. Why? They are out of bread, at 6:20! I'm a nice guy, I say " I'll run an errand and be back in 20 min". I come back in 25 min. My order is not ready........ They do however have an order ready for some walk-ins! I wait.... I begin to notice swarms of flies twisting through the restaurant. Several minutes later a 12 yr old hands me a bag. I'm too upset to check the bag or say much. I get home. They did not give me my order.... OMG! It took nearly an hour to get a JJ's order and it's wrong????? This joke of a crap hole stole $36 from me. It went in the trash. I will never do any type of business with this sad excuse for a human entity ever again. The owner and manager should consider a paper route as a more appropriate career. Scratch that. First time at this location and I love the drive through feature. The worker was direct when taking my order, which worked fine for me todays. I could see that being an issue for someone who isn't sure what they want or ordering a larger order. They weren't big on niceties when taking payment, but it didn't bother me. My sandwich came out fast and tasted just as good as any other JJ sandwich. I'd go back, just for the purpose of not having to get out of my car. read more

Sir, this is a Jimmy John's and it is 2022. This location is order ahead or drive through only. Stop whining. There are plenty of other options nearby. I've used this location many times for single sandwiches and also for catering and sometimes they are crazy busy and doing their best and not freaky fast. Sometimes they call me on the phone to go over my catering orders and apologize about being out of pickle buckets and sometimes I'm too tired to get sandwich supplies and ask a group of kids to make their own sandwiches and I'm grateful for Jimmy John's. Another chain I do not understand the hype. My college daughter knows the menu by heart and said the JJ in Iowa City is as fast as the commercials claim, super fast. We waited maybe five minutes. I thought it was reasonable for four subs. I got a 16" Turkey Tom with hot peppers. I had to laugh when I got it. It is gigantic in terms of length. It is the girth that was lacking... shaved deli style turkey, thin lettuce, a row of tomatoes, so few peppers I could not taste them, and way too much mayo. Doughy bread good. Very low nutrition value. The sandwich was two stars. Also got jalapeño chips, good. Triple chocolate cookie, all 410 calories worth it. My kids will be back. I might. There was no reason to ding the place for service, cleanliness etc. staff very nice. read more

This location is horrible! They have the worst customer service, and they can never fulfill an order without forgetting something or messing up an order entirely. In hindsight, I kick myself every time I've chosen to order from this place (which is very rarely),and giving them another chance, thinking they may have gotten better. Today was the final straw. I placed an online order for pick up in the drive thru. I had my brother pickup my order. When he got home, I asked him where my drink was. He said, "they didn't give me one". Shocking! That is so unlike them. This is the second or third time they have forgotten to give me my drink when I place an online order. When I called the store, I asked to speak to a manager, the guy who answered the phone said he was a manager. I told him I wanted a refund for my drink and that this happens more often than not, and, his solution was to give me a credit on my account for "next time" as they cannot refund money to credit cards. I told him I am done and do not want to give Jimmy John's my business in the future. He then offered to send me a gift card, he was just not understanding that I am completely done with this company, especially this particular location. I don't want a gift card, I don't want a credit to my account! The icing on the cake was when he found out that I was not satisfied with the two mediocre options he presented, he then tried to put the store's error on me and asked me the following, "you said this happens often, well ,why didn't you check and make sure you had your items?" I wasn't there to pick up my order genius. In turn, I asked him why they couldn't just give me the items I ordered and paid for in the first place? Why is it up to me to make sure they do their job? It's not rocket science, it's just sandwiches. C'mon! Never know they need these information before to pay through the drive through. I don't feel very safe to provide information. He told me it is still the same even if I pay with cash. Almost like your regular Jimmy John's. Arrived and noticed a long drive through line and decided to park the car and order online. Masks required and a hand sanitizer bottle was available for use near the entrance. The tables for indoor dining had been cordoned off for safety reasons. Employees with masks and gloves were packed in a small area and all seemed extremely busy. I was told it would take 10 minutes as an employee waved my online receipt at me - something to do with a lag between online orders and the time it takes to reach their printers. What can say except, don't bother? This location is so poorly staffed (probably because of Covid checks, no one wants to work a job like this when they get paid more to not work). Most of the time they're not offering delivery and you can't do an online order for pick up even... The app doesn't offer it. You have to go to the location and use the drive thru because going inside hasn't been an option for two years. Better call ahead though to make sure they're even open!! Half the time they're closed early. And I mean EARLY. Last Friday at peak dinner rush they were closed. It was about 6:30. One time I did everything "right" and still couldn't get an order because they're computer system was down. One lonely guy working there that night and I could tell he was so frustrated that his hands were tied. I don't know if it's the management at this location or if the higher ups and just dropping the ball... we've definitely had similar issues at other locations nearby in the last year too. Every time I order here, they take over an hour to deliver ONE SANDWICH and this store is 6 minutes from me. By the time it gets to me it's not even cold it feels like it's been sitting in a car for 20 min. When I've complained they just say "well he's on his way he'll be there soon" but never offers any explanation or any refunds or coupons, not even an apology. First of all, my delivery order took over an hour to get to my house when I live literally 5 minutes away from the restaurant. It took 40 minutes to even leave the restaurant. Also, it wasn't even a busy time of day (8 pm). Finally, when the driver got to my house, he made me sign for my order, when I specifically asked for it to be left at my door. Super long wait times, terrible service, bread is always small and undercooked like it wasn't proofed, missing toppings or way too much of one thing and too little of another. I recommend going to any other jimmy johns in the area rather than this one. I read the reviews already posted for this location and didn't really believe the negative comments about the volume of the music as all Jimmy John's have loud music. But then I visited this location and understood. The music isn't the same volume as other locations. It is MUCH louder. My daughter and I sat across from each other at a booth and could barely hear each other. We almost had to yell at each other in order to be heard. This location's manager has been rude and short with customers in the past, including myself. I placed an online order for my most recent visit which he claimed they never received in their system. I showed him the order number and confirmed the location was correct and he still denied the order existed.
