1/31/26 Born 2 Bagels Saturday morning at 10:00 AM @ 7°, 13 shivering residents from Swan Pointe HOA went rushing into Born 2 Bagel to get hot coffee and a bagel. Their GM, Paul, was at the head of the entrance taking orders and turning them in. They do have a very large menu ...written on a blackboard on the wall. They have Fresh Homemade Bagels and Coffee. Breakfast platters and lunches According to the owners, Jennifer and Bruce, " Our bagels are lovingly handcrafted, boiled to perfection, and baked until they reach that ideal balance of crisp exterior and soft, chewy interior." I posted a review about 2 years ago. I wanted to come back to say that 2 years later Jenn and Bruce still have amazing customer service and wonderful food. I never have to worry if they will show up with my catering order, often with special requests for diet restrictions, being correct and on time, every time. I order a ton of food for up to 3 different business locations. It's never a problem for them to deliver to my 2-3 addresses in one delivery. I ordered a Bruce's "Open Face" Bagel Lox with capers, scallion cream cheese, on a toasted gluten free everything bagel. There's quite a generous amount of cream cheese that's cut with the freshness of the vegetables on this bagel that makes it fun to eat. The salmon's tenderness and gentle flavor dance on your tongue with all the other ingredients making it a very satisfying option. The gluten free everything bagel was decent, though it does feel a little "eh" biting into it in terms of texture, and the seasoning on the cucumbers/veg was uneven leading to some bites being packed with flavor and others tasting like just vegetable. I finally tried Born 2 Bagel!!!! Loved the vibe & atmosphere. Staff was very patient with me. So many choices I couldn't decide what I wanted. Bagels are made fresh. This place smells amazing. We ordered a 6-pack of bagels and two tubs of cream cheese. Since we love sweet & savory we chose everything, French toast, pumpernickel & jalapeño. The pumpernickel was Alex and mines favorite. Heidi will always be a diehard everything fan. The French toast was tasty as well. You get a side of maple syrup with it. Can't wait to go back. Note** I swear I thought I took pics of the bagels. After my wife's early doctor's visit nearby I took her to Born2Bagel for breakfast. Both of us ordered a bagel with a vegetable cream cheese schmear and a beverage. We came back to take home a dozen bagels and cream cheese, excited to have them for breakfast and later for sandwiches. My son and I are fans of Asiago bagels and we did not enjoy the seasoning of their version, so much so that we didn't finish our bagels. The plain was better for the next day's sandwiches. My husband also gave their bagels praise for staying soft and eatable longer than other places. This spot is enjoyed by a lot of people and we should support small businesses whenever possible. Off the bat, the bagels were too soft and chewy, the everything seasoning was a bit skimpy and my egg and cheese sandwich had a strong garlic butter flavor that reminded me of movie theater popcorn. I understand some people may really enjoy a softer bagel but it seemed more like a brioche sandwich than what I was going for. I appreciated the selection of cheeses for the sandwich but overall, the flavor was not great. The service was good, the employees were friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. I think this experience could've been improved if they had asked/offered to toast the bagel. Good location on the corner of two busy roads if you're stopping in the morning but I will probably not be returning. I was out this way getting a pedicure and needed some breakfast. I had heard great things about Born 2 Bagel so I decided to stop in. First things first, the place is TINY but it's so cozy and bright! It's perfect for a breakfast/lunch spot. I knew I wanted to try the lox as I love salmon so I went with the lox platter, everything bagel and veggie cream cheese, no cukes, add capers (love that you can add capers!) and a Pellegrino. The food came out quickly and oh my goodness, y'all! I am picky about lox because sometimes it can be so smoky that that's all you can taste. Not with this one! It was so velvety and delicious. The tomatoes and onion with it were super fresh and the bagel was perfectly chewy with a wonderful bite. They don't skimp on the everything seasoning, either! I'm not sure how I missed it, but there's a new Bagel place in town and it's pretttttty awesome! Born2Bagel isn't on the way to anywhere I go with any frequency and the only reason I know it existed was by looking at some of my Yelp friends profiles. Still, once I read a few reviews I was, like, "We have to go!" (Ok, I admit it. I'm a Bagelholic.) The interior is brightly coloured with white walls and black and yellow signage. There's not a huge seating area (there are only about ten tables) arranged in two- and four-tops. It's counter service, so you order at the register and sit and wait for your food. On a Sunday we decided to visit for lunch. I had already perused the menu so I basically had an idea what I wanted (a turkey and swiss sandwich on an asiago bagel). I added a side of potato salad (one can only eat so many bags of chips.) Besides, it was Sunday lunch. I felt like being fancy. Oh My, the options! A rough estimate I think they have at least 10 types of bagels and over a half dozen flavors of cream cheese. Add to that a variety of Boar's Head lunch meats (sliced on site) and some fresh veggies and you know it's going to be good. Drink options are limited to some canned and bottles waters, teas, and soft drinks. Our food was delivered in less than ten minutes and when they say their bagel sandwiches are piled high, they mean it. It was huge! I had to kind of mush it in order to eat it. And It Was Delicious! There was something different about the potato salad. I don't know what it was, but it was REALLY good. As we finished Jenn came out and asked how everything was and it was, of course, excellent. I had to comment on the potato salad, and she said they get a lot of compliments on it. I also got a bagel and cream cheese to go, specifically a jalapeño bagel and strawberry cream cheese. I know it sounds a bit odd, but Jenn suggested it and...wouldn't ya know it? She was right. It was amazingly good. I like that their jalapeño bagel has a slightly spicy kick at the end. HIGH-FIVE for that! The only thing I would change would be to add a drink station. The selection of bottle and cans are good, but sometimes a fountain drink just hits the right spot. NOT a complaint at all and nothing that would ever stop me from coming back. We will definitely be adding Born2Bagel to our Sunday lunch rotation. Visited there Sunday morning for the first time. Obviously Sunday morning at a bagel shop is going to be a busy time. There were customers eating outside at the small outside seating area as well as inside the restaurant, most of the customers were ordering takeout or picking up online orders. All that said they were well staffed and well run. The line moved quickly. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very good. We ordered the nova lox open faced bagel sandwich, which comes with cucumber, tomato, lettuce to go with the salmon. I would guess that it is their signature bagel and it was great. Best bagels in town! Soft and chewy just like they're supposed to be. My toddler loves the French toast and I'm obsessed with all their bagel sandwiches and potato pancakes. Finally! There is an authentic East Coast bagel in town! Our daughter had brought us breakfast from this Jewel located on Breckenridge and Shelbyville Road, and it was delicious! I ordered the smoked whitefish salad on a Sesame Seed bagel, with a side of Potato Pancakes with sour cream and apple sauce. My husband had a Poppy Seed bagel Lox sandwich, and a side of potato pancakes. We both ordered coffee. The bagels are what a good bagel should be with a great New York bagel chew, with a small whole, and a nice size. I had not had smoked whitefish since the early 90's, and it was perfection! The owner brings it from New Jersey. It was served with tomato, thinly sliced cucumber and capers. You can get onions, but I passed. I've had dreams about this sandwich since. The lox sandwich was the best! The Lox was fresh and you get a good portion, dressed the same as my fish salad sandwich. Now, let's have a moment of silence for the potato pancakes or latkes. Pure perfection crispy outside and creamy inside. Delicious, and my kitchen doesn't smell for eight nights. lol I don't know where they source the coffee, but it was dark, robust, and delicious. Other offerings include eggs, pastrami, which I plan to try next, sweets like muffins, a variety of bagel flavors, and you can take some home. Did I mention they also have bialys? Yum! The owners came and talked to us. They are proud of their product and they should be. They are a very nice couple, and we will be visiting often. They also cater.
