Pretzel bites and wings

We were seated immediately on a Friday night, the server was quick and helpful and the appetizers that we got were good.

It doesn't look like much from the outside (a refurbished industrial / farm building - see picture), but the inside is quite another story (see pictures). They appeared to be short-staffed in the kitchen - possibly overwhelmed by the extra customers coming from the John Deere Classic. Tanya, did a great job keeping us informed on the order status and keeping our drinks full. I ordered the Tin Can Nachos (see picture) for my meal and to share with the table and another guest at our table ordered the Arizona Chicken Sandwich (see picture). The sandwich and fries were very good and the Nachos were likely the most unique delivery that I've ever seen. As the name implies, they come with all the ingredients layered in a tin can and then the server lifts off the top at the table (see picture) to leave a delicious stack of chips and toppings! I would definitely stop by on another trip when it isn't so busy - and I highly recommend that you try the Tin Can Nachos when you go. Also, be sure to say 'Hi' to Tanya - she is a wonderful server! Ignore all of the construction and give these guys a try, you won't regret it!…read more The bartender, Carrie, was fantastic! Offering samples and suggestions to make sure everyone received something they would enjoy. When I told her I liked bourbon and not beer, she brought out a bottle of Woodford Reserve and never once told me I just had to try one of their beers because it would most certainly be the one to convert me to a beer drinker! I can't tell you how much I appreciate that and wish more breweries would be like that. But back to the beer, the rest of the family enjoyed the selection and all said they would go back. They do not serve food, but there is a very good Mexican restaurant next door and you can bring in their food if you are hungry. It is also very family friendly and welcoming!

Checked out this brewery in East Moline. It shares a building with Jennie's Boxcar, so if you need…read morefood order from there. Midwest Ale Works takes care of your beer needs, and there's quite a variety. Has pretty good prices on pints. There's fruity ones and more traditional hoppy styles. A lot of beers to choose from. It's about $7 a pint. That's not bad for a local craft brewery like this. A few of these are fruity. This is a good place if you like sours. I liked the name of the Fuster Cluck. This is a blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry sour. All three berries. They use over 100 pounds of berries when brewing it. As for the food, you can order it from next door. There's Mexican food such as chips and tacos. Has lots of great beers. It has a variety of interesting flavors. Those wanting food can order it from the restaurant in the same building or from one of the nearby other places or wherever.

The place is a lot nicer looking on the inside than the out looks with a nice exposed circular metal ceiling and kind of an industrial look with the wood and metal. The men's room has a keg for a pisser which was somewhat weird but kind of cool. There is a rail yard right behind the place so the name is fitting. I was after a cold craft style draft beer which they had a few and I don't even remember the names. I was amazed that the woman working the bar didn't know how much the beers cost and had to consult a menu before taking my money. I was only going to do one beer and since I didn't how much they were I slapped $10 on the bar, $4.75 for my dark beer. She grabbed the $10 and asked if the whole $10 was with her tip, no I'm not leaving you a $5.25 tip on my first beer, seriously. I decided to try another beer and I asked her to bring me the most popular tap, nothing domestic like Bud which she didn't really know so I said just pick something. I liked the frosty glass with each beer. My second beer must have killed the keg because it was kind of low in the glass or just a crap pour which I think is most likely what happened WTF. It's probably an ok place for a couple beers but I would check out some other places in town.
