My first time here and no question the best sandwich I have had since moving to Texas. A friend told me about it and we happened to be passing by so we stopped in. They are locating right in downtown Marble Falls. There sandwiches are fresh but their signature sandwich is the chicken salad sandwich. From what I understand, they make their own bread and I have heard the make the chicken salad fresh everyday. Without question, the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had. You have a choice of white or wheat bread and the bread is also very fresh. They serve with ruffle style chips and a pickle spear. I also had their "Club" sandwich. This is served with Ham, Turkey and Roast Beef. I understand what is on the menu, but I do not understand why they call it a club. A traditional club is a triple decker sandwich with meat (usually just turkey but sometimes turkey and ham) with bacon and cut into quarters. The "club" sandwich they serve is three meats, no bacon and not a triple decker sandwich so I am not sure why they call it a Club sandwich. It was tasty, but I ordered because I thought it would be a traditional club sandwich. In all fairness, it does not say bacon on the menu. Again, fresh sandwiches and I highly recommend. I look forward to coming back and trying some of the other sandwiches but you cannot go wrong if you order their special Chicken Salad. read more

Darci's, is run by 2 lovely, yet brusque, ladies who make the delicious breads for the sandwiches in house. Ordering is counter style directly to the person making your food and is fast and easy. We ordered a Reuben and a Tuna Salad. They were out of Pumpernickel, so I had my Reuben on toasted wheat. It was divine. Wheat bread was a pleasant alternative and the sandwich was incredibly large with generous helpings of corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and Russian dressing. Flavor was amazing. I highly recommend having a Reuben this way. My wife had the Tuna Salad which you start by selecting your veggies at the salad bar, then returning to the counter for the super helping of tuna mixed with sauce. Soooo good. The other choices on the tables around us looked very appealing, especially the soups which, like bread are house made. Service is quick and courteous. A little brusque, as I said before. I mark this up to the fact that we weren't locals and they figure we're just passing through. Ehhh...If you're easily offended, you may want to go elsewhere. Otherwise..... Ya can't go wrong. I asked for a substitution on my sandwich and the gal behind the counter said that she had never been asked for that substitution before and it sounded horrible. I stayed positive and said, she'd be surprised and proceeded to walk over to pay for my husband's and my order. As I did, she yelled across the restaurant to tell the owner about my "horrible" request for ham instead of corned beef and the owner says "ew" loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. I told the owner I was surprised I was being treated so rudely. She then tried to back off and stated they would probably add it to the menu when she realized, too late, how rude they had been. In this day and time when everyone is scrutinizing every expense, we expected a good meal served with kindness and caring. We got neither. We will never return to this restaurant and suggest you don't either. read more

Meh. Unbothered/unwelcoming and kept getting glares. I got the 'famous' chicken salad. It was bland as can be tbh; chicken was very tough and dry. Bread is good . Chicken and dumpling soup is more like flour soup with like raw dough. Whole place is a little dingy and the bathroom is pretty gross. You can tell a lot about a place by their cleanliness and they products they use. Marble Falls in general just disappoints me when it comes to food. Period. Came here for a sandwich with my sister and 4 year old niece. We should of left while we were in line ... when someone asked for chili the lady behind the counter shouted "get your own damn chili". Not sure if that was to a worker or at the customer but we allllll heard it. The sandwiches were just ok. Soggy and bland. I decided to grab something to go for lunch and called ahead with my order. When I arrived, I was not greeted even though the owner was standing right behind the counter and looked at me. I politely told her that I had a to go order and she put it on the counter and walked away. There was a young child in the back. I noticed he was making the chicken salad (all the while sneezing all over it). I thought that was odd, but then HE came up to finish my order and ring me up. He must have been on 7 or 8. First of all, ANYONE who handles food should have a Food Handlers Cert, which I am sure he did not. Second of all, kids are not known to have the greatest hygiene. I asked him nicely if he had made my sandwich....guess what....he did. This is not okay. I was the only customer in there. I felt like the owner was rude and unwelcoming. You should NEVER have a child working in a kitchen of a business. Absolutely unacceptable and I will not be going back. The food was mediocre and not worth the price. read more

There is a lack of good, consistent restaurants in the area so I really wanted to like Darci's but the opposite happened. We walked in and found the owner behind the counter. There was no greeting, no acknowledgement, just a cold glare in our direction. I greeted her and told her it was my first time there in an effort to get a response or a recommendation. Still nothing. Ordered the Reuben sandwich and it was a big disappointment. Yes the pastrami was high quality but otherwise it was a soggy mess. My parents just moved to Marble Falls so we visited them for Thanksgiving weekend. Ended up having lunch here. The atmosphere is nice, the folks were extremely friendly & the food was above average. Protip: order the 1/2 sandwich (it's As big as most places full sandwich) and a cup of soup. I had the chili and it was good... my wife really enjoyed the chicken & dumplings. The salad bar was fresh and the sandwich itself was wonderful, especially the bread. However, I was very disappointed in the lack of options. There are no low-calorie or low-fat dressings in the store, period. This includes both condiments for the sandwiches and the dressings on the salad bar - all that's offered are the full-fat versions. I understand this is a smaller place, so they may not be able to afford to put out a plethora of dressings every day, but I think it's fair to ask that one low-calorie option be offered. Other than the limitations of their offerings, I enjoyed Darci's. It's a little on the pricey side, but that's to be expected from a non-chain deli. read more

Locals know, and have known for years, that this is the best sandwich/salad/soup/pastry restaurant in the region. It's run by two sisters (Dad built the tables), who make everything as you order it in line, on freshly-baked homemade bread. It's clean, open, light and far more than a simple "shop." How have I been visiting Marble Falls most of my life and never been here??? I was definitely missing out. We picked up Darci's on our way into town recently. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was going to be good. The service was fast and friendly. We ordered 3 sandwiches and all were delicious. They offer very large portions.
