Sweet Rainbow nails offers most of the things you'd expect from a nail salon without any frills. They did a great job on the nails. However, they don't take appointments seriously here, so expect a long wait. My sisters, husband and I had mani pedi appointments at 11am on a Thursday at Sweet Rainbow Nails. When we walked in, all the nail technicians were busy. They were way understaffed for what they were taking on. Several technicians were jumping back and forth between people. It took them forever (about an hour) to get started on my nails. They started on one of my sisters even later. I was very unhappy that our appointment time wasn't respected. It was a very busy week preparing for my wedding and I was anxious about losing all that time. The space is clean but it's super cramped. I liked the protective screens but it also made it really difficult to hear people. The prices we were charged didn't reflect the ones listed. A couple of dollars difference wasn't a big deal for me, but beware! They did a really nice job on the nails. There are plenty of gel color options. Once it was my turn, my gel extensions went quickly. My nails looked great and they lasted a long time. I'm impressed with how well everyone's nails came out. Sweet Rainbow Nails was fine overall, nothing special. Don't recommend it for parties or for appointments. They did do a good job on the nails though. read more

I was recommended by a friend to go visit this salon, and wow my experience there exceeds a 10/5. I felt a bit rushed when I first walked in, but it was fine because I was being treated with so many friendly and patient staff members there. The amount of delicacy and focus my artist had on doing my tips and painting my nails served a 10/10 alone. I for sure felt pampered, haha. So after moving out to Smithtown. I started to notice quickly that the nail salons are trash. They charge high prices and the quality of the work is poor. That's when I began to start searching every two weeks for a new salon. So I discovered Sweet Rainbow. I think the thing that drew me close to them was the customer service and the way they treated my five year old daughter. It was great. The owner Susan is very friendly and try's her best to accommodate you. The salon is very clean and the prices are very reasonable, not to mention but the service is wonderful. So I like Jerry. I believe he is the only guy that works there but he is so awesome. Whenever I see Jerry it's not like I'm just a number waiting to be seen. He really gets to know you and our conversation are always amazing. I'm definitely not sitting there bored. Or looking at my nails every second. Jerry knows what color looks best with my complexion and everything, and we are always engaged in great conversation. I must say the best part about this salon is that they treat my five year old with respect and honor her color wishes. Other salons we have been to in the past refuse to service my daughter because she wanted 10 different colors on her nails. They was very impatient and always rushed. Susan and her staff Know London and cater to her needs of a color choice or a design. This is the thing that keeps me coming back. However, I did experience an issue with the polish peeling 3 days after service and I went to Susan later on that week and she took care of me with no problem. I get it things happen but I was serviced and no questions asked. This is experience was normal and I would not take a star away for that. So do I recommend this nail salon. This salon is very clean and nicely decorated. The employees are very nice as well! The tech shaped my nails perfectly. They even gave me a mask since I dropped mine in the parking lot. Couple of things I didn't like: - As you can see from my pictures, the tech did not do a good job at cleaning the sides of my nails. Once i got home, it took me 15 minutes to do this on my own. I had hardened powder gel all over my fingers. - I did not get anything that is typically involved with a manicure.... she didn't push my cuticles back or cut my cuticles... The manicure is $37 so all i paid for was the powder on my nails - On my left hand, three of my nails have bumps from poor filing - The tech did not wear gloves while doing my nails. With everything going on, I would have appreciated that - I felt rushed - I was out of there within 35 minutes which felt very fast for a powder gel manicure. I was the only person in there. It's inexcusable to have rushed me and make these mistakes. I think all of these things can be easily fixed. I would go back to this salon. The thing I was most annoyed about was not receiving what I paid for which was a manicure. After paying for service and tip, paying almost $50 - the least I can ask for is having my cuticles cut for the first time since quarantine started. read more

It's a no for me. I've been here several times & have had enough. The place seems clean. But the manager ruins the whole experience for me. She is loud and frequently trying to sell more services during my pedicure. A nail salon visit for me is relaxing. She makes it the polar opposite. The last time I went, I explained exactly what I wanted in the hopes that she would leave us alone to enjoy our pedicures. But of course, she kept badgering us to get more services. Not to mention she did a very poor job on my pedicure. We requested to put the tip on the card & this woman begins to yell in the salon asking "how much?!?!". Instead of making a scene like her we demanded she return our credit card & receipt. We of course gave a tip & decided we will not return. read more

The place is clean and every one was really nice. I called the day of and they were able to schedule 2 of us. The quality of the gel manicure I got was 3/5. Very hygienic, but the actual work could be better. I left with some bubbles in the gel polish. They are willing to fix anything though if you tell them. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for years now and truthfully there are times you have to wait especially if you're seeing their star technician Amanda. I have tried other salons and always end up coming back. Amanda is like no other!! She can do every shape perfect, her nails finish like glass and she does amazing nail art by hand, not using stencils. Just make sure you have time to spare even if you have an appointment and you will leave super happy. Sue is the owner and wants to keep everybody happy so she never turns anyone away which in turn leads to frustrated customers. I've been getting powder gel nails done here now. In the past they've only lasted me a few days, due to the work that I do, I guess I'm rough on my hands. I had always asked to put an extra layer because of this. The nails still seemed to crack, very fast anyway. I decided to treat myself a few weeks back and start fresh with this place as I've enjoyed their service in the past. Amanda does an incredible job, and they have lasted me two and a half weeks! HOWEVER- I got my friend a gift certificate for Christmas and they gave expired coupons with it and the expiration date on the gift certificate was good until 1/31/21! ONE MONTH!? I was very upset to learn of this as I've been telling my friends to go here. What if my friend had some event she wanted to use the gift certificate for? If they are going to put an expiration date they should give at least a year! read more

Looking for a new salon I was encouraged by the strong reviews I found of this one. And, when I called, leaving a message about available times, I got a prompt and friendly call back. A good start. However, once I was in a chair I found myself being served by the owner, Susan who was less interested in me than in keeping an eye on the rest of her staff and the front door. More than once she got up to talk with a technician or to instruct the receptionist on calls to make, towels to prepare. When I handed her the bottle of polish I'd selected, she put it on her tray and then picked up another color to apply. I felt rushed and of no importance, even though I mentioned it was my first time there. When moved to the drying table I could see bits of tissue scattered on the floor and the receptionist, not looking for work to do, didn't bother to pick up a broom to clean. A fluff of used cotton had been left in the cup holder at my station. Bottom line: fast, inexpensive, zero customer focus, B+ on the pedicure, not the relaxing bit of pampering I'd sought. read more
