I don't know the right word) at the end. It was nice that we could take them home right away vs coming back later. My kids, ages 7 and 9 really enjoyed the experience. I felt like the cost was a little high on the things to paint (most were $20+) but we did get a discount on the studio fee with the coupon on yelp so that was nice. It was also nice that we could get lunch and dessert in the same shopping area, making for a nice girls outing without driving all over the place.

When we were in college we would gather around the tv set and cackle for the hour-long special. Kenny Howell and Pierre were two of the first comedians to appear on the show and we couldn't wait to see them live! EBT is a nice-sized venue in the south suburbs with chic decor. The only issue I had was with the service. I arrived about 15 minutes after my party and the already had drinks. They informed me to go to the bar to order because no servers were coming around (although I saw several wandering about aimlessly). I ordered a drink and since I was informed about the slow waiters, o ordered food as well...the Parmesan garlic chicken wings with fries. The bartender was very friendly and fast and I wanted to leave her a nice tip on my card, but there was no tip option. So strange cuz you can literally buy a Streetwise newspaper from a Streetwise vendor and there's a tip option on their not-pad. had to scrounge up some singles from my bottomless purse to tip her. ANYHOO, I go back to my table and told my crew I ordered food and if they wanted some, they needed to go to the bar. As they hemmed and hawed, a disgruntled young man came by and disgruntledry (yes, I make up words ) took their food order. Moments later a server came with my order and asked me to pay but I told her I paid at the bar. She looked at me skeptically but I insisted I did and she should go ask the bartender. About 15 minutes later the disgruntled dude came back with everyone else's order his disgruntledness was so obvious, we were slightly uncomfortable. But that's when I noticed you could leave tips on the waiters iPads. The lady came back around to check on us so I bought another drink and gave her a tip. I mean, ain't nobody out here waiting tables for no tip. We all shared wings, tacos, salmon and jerk rolls and the other good part is that the food was phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned, sauced and no leftovers. The other great thing about EBT is the owner Tiffany. What a gracious host! She was friendly, hospitable and made everyone feel comfortable. You can tell she cares about her establishment. I hope she's able to find a good FOH manger/supervisor to help that aspect of the biz run smoother. All in all, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for another show. If you're a city-dweller, it's worth the trip.

Unfortunately the parking lot is very small, but I arrived early so I didn't have a problem. I don't know why some event spaces do this, but to get into the bathroom stall, you have to turn sideways because the toilet is very close to the stall door. I love the loft looking ceilings. I'm considering hosting an event here. I'm not sure if the owner herself offers decorating services, but the place was impeccably decorated.

I came in today with themes of ideas hoping that this business can help showcase some ideas of the elements that I present. I thought that is a fair request being this is their claimed speciality. The woman who was there to help, Anna, was not pleasant. She wanted concrete set ideas and told me, "My problem is you don't know what you want." This is only one of the other rude things I can name. I was standing there self soothing myself and at the same time feeling like I needed to use de-escalation skills that I teach at work. It seems all so ridiculous! As a business, wouldn't you think that a place would try to build rapport with you? Her tone was intense and did not fit the joyful energy I would want when planning for a wedding. I couldn't take it after a while. I am at least glad I made her aware that her tone was not appreciated and that I am leaving. I would not come back and I would not recommend for those still building the vision of your event.

She was extremely professionals and we always felt supported and heard. Very disappointed with my experience at this venue in Calumet Park. After my event, I was told my…read moredeposit wouldn't be returned due to "shoe prints on the walls." I asked for photo proof--none was provided. My family and I cleaned thoroughly, and no one noticed any such issue. I even offered to meet at the venue to inspect the space, and that was ignored. The owner also mentioned police presence outside due to teens waiting on rides--calling it "loitering"--but even stated a fine was avoided. That shouldn't be tied to my deposit at all. When the police weren't actually called to the venue itself. The reason for withholding it, according to their own message, was just the alleged footprints, which they refused to prove. I reviewed the contract and followed all cleaning policies. This feels like a poor excuse to keep my deposit without cause. Renters, protect yourselves--take photos before and after, get everything in writing, and be cautious with this space.
