Some times the daughter is helping. Sausages are made from scratch on Sunday and Mondays. Every type you'd like. Especially the German specialty sausages. Oh there's ALWAYS a sample on the deli counter...they insist. Fresh baked bread too. I was stationed in Germany, on maneuvers 2/3 of my time in the forests when there was a west/east socialist border. YES you don't nor would want socialism. I know. The pita was wrapped in a thin, yet thick enough wrap to hold it all together and it was a perfect compliment to this Kebab! You can also never go wrong with any sausages, bratwurst or bologna. I like that they don't have a huge menu because everything you get is quality ingredients made with care. Did I mention beer? They have a multitude of glasses and form factors to pour into. The owners and employees have been consistently very kind and helpful with any questions I have about the market or restaurant since the beginning. My husband ordered the Kansas City brisket sandwich, and unfortunately ours came with just a few very thick-cut pieces of brisket that weren't very appetizing. Based on other photos/reviews, it may have been an off day, but the flavor and texture in the sandwich we received were disappointing. I ordered the Reuben, and the bread-to-meat ratio was way off (photo attached). It was mostly bread with very little filling, especially for a ~$14 sandwich. The sides were okay, but the portions overall felt pretty minimal given the pricing. I always want to support local restaurants, especially ones prioritizing local ingredients, so this was a letdown. Based on this visit, I wouldn't go out of my way to return.
