They don't whole batch of ice cream on top of new batch of ice cream, which means you have no idea how old it is.
Master J.

The ice cream tastes decent. It's about $7.50 for a small cup of ice cream. This is including tax and tip. Inside of the establishment is not that inviting. It doesn't look like anybody really takes care of the place. It's not that clean. The chairs are flimsy. There is very little decoration. Also there is possible cross-contamination. If you notice the ice cream scooper, it gets rinsed in a container, not in a running water. For those who have severe allergies, this is a absolute No-No. Also, there is no idea how old the ice cream is. Respectable ice cream establishments make new batch everyday. I am 100% certain this is not the case here from the picture that is attached. You can see the old batch on top of the new batch. I would most likely not come back. ==== The manager Bob messaged me with every little correction. As it stands, I paid about $7.50 each for 2 small cups with tax and tip included. There is no running water - basically called me a liar. nice. Please take a picture and post it please. I saw this with my own eyes - May 2024. It's impossible to get that installed in front of where the ice creams are over night. Now I am certain not to come back.

Salted caremel icecream on a salty pretzel cone
Jerry K.

Came in on the 4th of July holiday. The store interior was clean and ice cold. The staff behind the counter was finishing up a drive through order as we went to select from the many flavors in the display window. We ended going with a pretzel cone and a Brainfreeze mix of strawberry cheesecake, heath and sprinkles. Good quick service, great flavors here.

Brownie Celebration with chocolate soft serve

I had this spot bookmarked because I kept seeing ads for their ice cream pies sponsored to me on IG *your advertising is working :)* I realized I was 10 minutes away when I was shopping the other night so I stopped by. Drive thru only for the time being due to Covid. I got the Brownie Celebration (your choice of hard of soft ice cream with brownie pieces, Oreo pieces, hot fudge and whipped cream.) I also added marshmallow sauce. It was really good! It was the closest thing I've had to the DQ Brownie Earthquake that I've been missing since they took that off the menu. The brownie pieces had good flavor, sometimes brownie pieces have a bad, cheap flavor but not these. Also, don't forget to check in for $2 off $5! Definitely recommend if you're in the area. I plan to come back and get an ice cream pie for a summer bbq!

Mint Oreo Brainfreeze
Kyle B.

First time checking out Brainfreeze and it was absolutely delicious. I was craving mint chocolate chip ice cream so I got the Mint Oreo Brainfreeze. The mix of Oreos and ice cream was perfect The woman taking my order was friendly and helped me with any questions I had. Currently it seems if you're ordering at the location, drive thru is the only option. Didn't take long though and I was in line, then back on the road in 5 minutes. Will definitely be returning to try out their other options

Alright, anyone that knows me knows that I love ice cream--I don't care if it's zero degrees or 100, I'm eating it. My boyfriend and I wanted to try a new spot and decided to give BrainFreeze a shot since it's fairly close to home. We had some difficulty getting into the parking lot due to weird sign placement, but we ended up finding a spot easily. We walked up to the storefront, only to discover that they were doing drive-thru only. Back to the car we went and around the small strip to find the path to the drive-thru. Finally, we pull up to the menu which is awkwardly placed high on a wall so that no sedan can comfortably browse it. I was trying to crane my neck to view the menu but to no avail, so we went with their Reese's vanilla cups. It was quite delicious, the ice cream was smooth and had a perfect ratio to the candy. Next time we visit, we'll be better prepared for that parking lot journey.

The manager was super nice to check the ingredients for us on the soft serve to make sure it was safe for my kiddos allergies. We loved the ice cream and the kid keep asking to go back!

Brian B.

Just went to BrainFreeze got these two ice cream cups paid 15 for them. To start the person at the drive-thru wasn't very nice. Then when we asked about the toppings he didn't understand the three toppings we were asking for. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

Brainfreeze never fails to disappoint any time I have an ice cream craving! Their drive thru makes it super accessible to get ice cream during covid (and in the cold!) and they have a delicious rotation of flavors with some great combination recommendations on their Instagram account!

Ask the Community - BrainFreeze

I've been trying to call directly but only get a recording. How can I order a custom cake or pie for a birthday tomorrow ? Online doesn't offer any options just says pie or cake. Thx for your reply!

Is it Kosher?

Good afternoon Rafi, our soft serve ice cream is kosher and our toppings and cones are also kosher. The hard ice cream that we use is not kosher and our store is not kosher. Thanks, Bob Kovanes, Owner

Located off a busy Kinderkamack Road in Oradell, Ora, meaning "now" or "right now" in Italian, has been on my list and was named Best Italian Restaurant in Bergen County in the 2025 Daily Voice Readers' Choice Awards. A reservation was easily made via Toast. Upon entering as first-timers, my partner and I were greeted by the host inside this multi-level space with the vibe of a modern farmhouse, featuring warm wood tones, exposed rafters, and chic finishes accented by soft mercury lighting. One can dine in the main room, al fresco on the outside patio, weather permitting, or at one of the many top tables at the bar. We were seated promptly at a cozy table ready inside the main dining room. Their menu features a well-executed spin on Italian cuisine. As a starter, we decided on the Basil Pesto Arancini to share. For the main meal, we opted for one of today's specials, 8oz Prime Spinalis accompanied by Mac & Cheese sans crab meat and Dayboat Sea Scallops. Even saved room for some dessert and decided on the Chocolate Tortino and Soft Serve Gelato Copette. Washed them down with Franganza Spritz. Complimentary housemade bread with whipped butter started our meal. Every dish had flair and stood up against the next. Presentations kept our eyes wide as everything arrived to the table, and even the more straightforward preparations had a little something special about them. Everything was delicious; we really don't think one could go wrong with anything on the menu. What truly elevated the night, though, was our server, Clark. He went above and beyond, attentive without being intrusive, genuinely kind, and clearly passionate about making sure we had the best experience possible. It made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Can't wait to dine here again!

Unfortunately for us, some guests got lost on the way over and our party had to wait for all of us to be seated. Since our original tables had now been taken, we waited a while longer, and longer ... getting seated about an hour after our original reservation. We were promptly given menus but the waiter did not come back for quite some time to actually take our orders or serve us drinks, and I noted we finally had orders placed an unacceptable forty minutes after being seated (adding to the hour we wait to get seated). Appetizers were served first - before the complimentary table bread, which I found a bit odd? Between the calamari, caesar salad, and table bread, the food was delicious and flavorful. After appetizers however, there was easily another half an hour wait for our main entrees, with little service inbetween - no topped off waters or cleaned up dishes. My medium rare rack of lamb came out disappointingly medium well, which given the wait for entrees, I shouldn't have been surprised that it continued to cook while waiting to be served. The salty lamb and vegetables were drenched in dressing, and were better off served either with about half the flavor or on the side. Trying a bite of my wife's undercooked pappardelle, I was again disappointed yet not surprised. Summing it up, this place has a fabulous ambiance but the attention to detail from the wait staff and chef is missing, and left us with a three and a half hour dining experience with mediocre food.

There's a small parking lot, but you can also find some street parking nearby. It's a cozy coffee shop with some Colombian flair. They offer your signature espresso beverages, teas, smoothies, and frappes. In addition to drinks, they have a good variety of sweet and savory munchies. They have pastries, empanadas, arepas, and sandwiches. Everything is reasonably priced. I've been here three times to order drinks. During my first visit months ago, I ordered the Rose Water Latte ($6) and I really enjoyed the delicate, floral flavor! The espresso was strong and bold. It had the right amount of milk. I ordered it again during my second visit a few weeks ago, and it was a let down... It tasted watered down. There was no rose water flavor and the espresso was weak. Today, on my third visit, I ordered a Mochaccino ($7). It's a blended iced coffee drink with chocolate syrup. This also tasted too watery :( I could barely taste the mocha flavor. I've had a different barista every time, so maybe the quality of the drinks are dependent on who's working...? I really value consistency in a business, so I hope they can work on that for the future. While I'm not impressed with the drinks, I do enjoy the atmosphere. It's a small place, but it has a homey, local feel to it. There's five tables indoors, a few chairs outdoors, and stools at the counter. It's clean and bright. They change their decorations for the seasons and holidays. For this summer, they had beautiful floral and butterfly arrangements. It's a good spot to get work done, study, or read. They have free wifi, but I only saw one outlet. It doesn't get a lot of foot traffic, most likely due to its hidden location. I hope they can get more traffic because every time I visit, the place is dead for hours. Overall, I have mixed feelings. The workers are friendly and the place is cute... but I just wish the drinks were better. I'm willing to give them another shot. Maybe I'll try a pastry next time!

Although my visit was really for the banana foster, my favorite turned out to be the cannoli. They nailed that donut true to its original interpretation of what a cannoli is but made into a donut. My daughters loved the flavors of their selections although the strawberry cheesecake was a bit sweeter than she expected and liked. A bit overwhelming is how she put it. She would have been satisfied with just the mini size. Overall I think the next time I'm in town I may stop by for a half of dozen of minis because of the prices and because some flavors were better than others. This building has been around since 1700s and was formerly a general store and tavern. All of the menu items are freshly prepared in house using organic ingredients directly from the farm. These are a couple of the lunch menu items I explored: Homemade Hibiscus Iced Tea: This herbal beverage has a reddish color; its appearance is different from an original iced tea. The drink was very refreshing with a slightly tart taste. Farm Burger: This ounce angus patty includes lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, and a secret sauce. I also added yellow American cheese for a $1 up charge. I cannot identify the ingredients of the secret sauce, hence the name. It was really tasty and I requested a small extra cup on the side for dipping. For the most part, this was a tasty burger. Next time, I will request to have the patty cooked medium well because I feel a well done burger compromises its flavor.
