Did someone say Carmel Banana Pie?!!! I had planned on snapping a photo to add but I couldn't resist. By the time it crossed my mind, the pie was half-way finished. This is one of few places I order dessert at because I hate feeling like I have to lie to my calorie tracker. But, I would do so for just a scoop of the carmel! The owner visited my table today and I wasn't at all surprised at the importance they give to feedback. It's really hard to find anything that can be improved upon. Breakfast was good. The biscuits and gravy had chunks of sausages in it. Biscuits were flaky and buttery. Rest of the breakfast items were okay... Things most people could make at home. They were out of orange juice. Breakfast without OJ is a fail. There is no excuse for being out of OJ during breakfast hours. Minus one star for having Fox News and its moronic biased banter on as we were just trying to enjoy breakfast. It made food taste worse. read more

Got half a veggie sandwich with the tortilla soup. All the ingredients were high quality, from the bread to the vegetables to the cheese. Got the banana pie for dessert, also excellent. Great service too. Was lucky enough to grab a sheet cake at a discount which was for an event that didn't happen. I really liked this place. It was very full when I went but I didn't wait for a table or anything. The lemonade was delish! The food, I thought was pretty average.. The Carmel Banana Pie is SINFUL! That is probably the best pie in the entire world. Simply made with bananas and tons of carmel and whipped cream. It's out of this world and their mot popular dessert. Honestly, that's all I go there for. The food is just average but it's a good break from tacos and the other chain restaurants in the Valley. read more

What a nice place that has had almost no turnover in the people that work here. I had a vegetable omelette from here and tasted orange juice, pancake, bacon, and zucchini muffin. Personally, vegetable omelette was a 3. I didn't find anything special except that cheese was consistently present through every bite. Bacon was thick but crunchy like chips. Orange juice had lots of pulp (which I like) but had a creamy taste. The pancake was fluffy and big and is better than from other breakfast chain restaurant. Zucchini muffin was surprisingly good (could hardly taste the zucchini) and had a good texture (chewy on the outside and moist on the inside). Although there were many people in the restaurant (people were waiting to be seated), the service was good. At the end of the meal, the owner came to get our plates and asked how the meal was. Judging from the crowd size, I'd give it a 4-5! But the vegetable omelette was def a 3 for me. I'd give it a 3.4 overall if I could based on my overall experience. However I do want to go back and try their lunch because of their popularity! read more

OMG! Hands down the best place for a "homemade lunch." Service is always great and staff is friendly. I have to say the meatloaf is my favorite meal there. I have to preface with this. Sweet Temptations will never be the same as it was in its old location with all the old lady waitresses. I mean what happened to them? New location and they all just lost their jobs? The food back then was absolutely amazingggg!! I mean everything tasted fresh and homemade with TLC. Now the food is still good but it's gone from 5 stars to 4 stars IMO. The potato soup, lasagna, and sandwiches are pretty tasty, and their desserts are always a good choice if you feel like doing that to yourself. Today was my first time here, but it will not be my last. Val, the server, recommended the pecan flavored coffee along with the omelette. It was so good. While my girlfriend and I waited for our food I initiated small talk with Val about lunch items on the menu. Without asking him he brought over samples of their homemade soups. I thought that was a nice gesture. We sampled lobster bisque, broccoli and cheese, potato soup, chicken noodle, and my favorite, chicken tortilla soup. This place was great! We had found it on yelp because we are from out of town and it I loved it. We had a party of 8 and still got seated right away. Over cooked breakfast. Eggs had skillet burns and bacon was over fried, couldn't bite into it. People seem to rave the muffins but the sugar is high that it's hard to taste the flavor of the muffin. What a great place this is for breakfast! Fresh eggs perfectly cooked to order, fantastic omlettes, tasty seasoned potatoes, great tasting ham on the side.
