I felt bad for the bartender as they were the Only staff when I came in. This is a very large, though bright, venue. Lots of huge windows and skylights. I sat at the bar, which is rather comfortable. I ordered the Sonoma salad, the pork belly burnt ends, and the squash in brown butter as a side. The salad was huge. I don't know about the pork belly being "burnt ends" though boy was it tasty. The squash was a lovely accompaniment. I'll come back.

Just stopped by here for the first time. The inside of the restaurant was pretty relaxing as it was the middle of the day. Service was GREAT, very friendly and helpful bartender. Food was okay but it didn't blow my mind. The brisket nachos were decent. Just wish they had a little more kick. Tallow fries, okay, nothing to write home about. I ordered a beer as well, IPA, which was pretty nice. I'd go back if in the area, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to go here.

Went here for the first time before catching a movie at the Roxy. The restaurant was big with a nice patio area, that is where we sat. You could tell our server was new but he was nice and you could tell he was trying his best. With that being said, service was slow, and had a couple hiccups with our order but over all had a good experience. I got an expresso martini since it was barely noon and those are the new it drinks. It was delicious! So good, I literally text my expresso martini fan friends. Food wise we just got appetizers. The salmon & lox deviled eggs were amazing had to share those with a few people as well through photos. My husband got fries.. they were not great not the worst but not the best either. I plan to be back. The food was good, drink was great, the workers were nice even if service wasn't 5-stars, it's in a good location by the 3rd St. parking garage. Definitely check them out if you are in the area.

What a lovely experience my family and I had. Came down for Mother's Day and left full and satisfied. There was three of us and we all ordered the two meat combo. Between us we got the half chicken, hot links and ribs. I got the potato salad. My son got the collard greens and my aunt got the mac & cheese. I absolutely love the cornbread and the sweet cream butter they offer with it. Between the ribs and the Cajun chicken, I'm going to highly recommend the ribs . The chicken was flavorful and juicy. I think I'm just not really a big fan of Cajun... I did not like the barbecue sauce, but they also offer hot sauce, which I enjoyed. The potato salad was good with mac & cheese was better than last time I had it, the collard greens or my least favorite side. The ambience inside is giving high class vibes! I mean it is sophisticated definitely a vibe. My aunt and I decided to walk through to check out the place because it's definitely something to see great place for any occasion like a dinner or a birthday or at work meeting or a first date, I absolutely love the inside of this place! You can eat upstairs or downstairs or even outside. I mentioned in my first review how they have a full bar and I love that!! The service was friendly and welcoming. Our food came out swiftly, nice and hot. My family really enjoyed the experience and would love to come back to check out other stuff on the menu and also looking forward to checking them out for happy hour from 3 to 6 PM.... Personally I wish they offered more desserts options, like something take home like a peach cobbler or 7 up cake, bread pudding something! They do offer soft serve and a soft serve cobbler..... I was so full I did not have room to try it. I think the price of the food is reasonable and definitely affordable for a good plate of food. We all have leftovers... I probably could write more, but do yourself a favor and check out downtown barbecue, Hell book a birthday dinner there you won't regret it !!

This was my first time ever at this particular barbecue place and we went for a friend's birthday dinner. There was a table of 10 and our server was incredibly patient with us since four of us showed up a little late! They had a number of different beers on tap as well as bottles and my Hubby couldn't figure out which one he liked, so our server was incredibly sweet and got him a mini 4 sample sips for him to try. He ended up loving my POG cider and got one of those! Hahaha The ambience was really relaxing and nice bar environment. Very clean and organized and they had an upstairs area as well! I would definitely like to go and check out the upstairs or even a night if they have a live music! We will definitely have to go back!

Beautiful place is great bbq spot now my favorite. Had brisket and burnt ends. Service was great and will be coming Back!

The food was pretty great too. The miso guacamole was handmade from fresh avocados right in front of us. I really enjoyed the fried salt and pepper octopus too. Great sauce accompaniment. The two sandwiches we ordered were very interestingly on grilled bao buns which actually held together pretty well. I personally didn't love the pickled veggies but my husband enjoyed them. I sat at the bar where there were only 3 others sitting there. It was a Sunday evening and there were still plenty of available tables around 7pm, I got a non alcoholic drink, Garnot Story. It was refreshing. I wasn't very hungry but there were so many opts that had a unique twist so, after speaking with the bartenders I decided on the Smokey Poke and the Chicken wings. The poke was super fresh, light, and had nuts which gave it another dynamic level of flavor and crunch. The chicken wings are full bone in wings including the drum stick part intact. The crispy skin was cooked to perfection and the flavor was like nothing I have tasted before. The goat cheese ranch took the dish to the next level.

I was sitting at the bar on Thursday when a customer, Rainey, called the bartender a b*#ch, cursing her out. The bartender definitely kept her cool, never even raising her voice. The way people treat bartenders sometimes is just so terrible! Don't go out if you can't act appropriately. I ordered one drink, and it was pretty good. The only downside was the service. The bartender wasn't very personable, and I didn't really feel welcomed. To be fair, it was the start of the shift, so maybe they were just getting settled in or simply having an off day. We all have those days, so I'm trying not to judge the experience too harshly. I usually like to give places a second chance because one visit doesn't always tell the whole story. The drink showed promise, and I'm hopeful my next visit will leave a better overall impression. Looking forward to seeing how the experience compares the second time around.

Everything was perfect! This place is a gem!…read more The burger was one of the best fancy burgers I've had in a long time. It looked like they ground their meat in house, but I forgot to ask so don't quote me on that. It was cooked a PERFECT medium rare topped with bacon, Cambazola, fig jam and frisse, served on a soft yet sturdy brioche style bun. The shoestring fries were like crack, super addictive, I couldn't stop! The wife had the steak frites, and it might be our new favorite restaurant for that dish. Steak was cooked ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY!! Fries were out of control good. No notes! Nice craft cocktail menu, short but well curated wines by the glass list, and the bartender had a heavy hand with those pours. Had a few oysters on the half shell as an appetizer, and we split the fried green tomatoes too. Those were topped with fresh shaved corn and a cilantro cream.l.with a few cherry tomatoes for color. So good. The atmosphere is old school speak easy vibe. Classy but casual. It's a small restaurant and the bar is front and center but they have a few tables outside for when the weather is nice. Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. My younger son thought it was the best burger he's ever eaten. It was very good. The only thing is the sole was not what we were expecting, it was very meaty/solid. Normally, sole breaks apart easily and very flaky. We would not order this again. For sides, we had frites, button mushrooms provencal & brussels sprouts gratin. We only liked the frites. If we are in Santa Rosa, we would definitely come back. The reason I didn't give a 5 star review is the handle on the brussels sprouts pan was very hot and the waiter didn't tell me it was hot.
