Came by thanks to the power of Yelp and my inquisitive nature of wanting to explore CG. Parking is free in old downtown CG, mainly thanks to the grocery store across the street from Deadlift. Deadlift is one of many small, cute shops in the area, with maybe 10 seats total. While they're a coffee shop, they also serve breakfast and smoothies. I had a chance to speak with the nice barista about the shop and the CG area. I left with an iced coffee that had much to be desired (tasted a little burnt/off even with almond milk and a little SF vanilla). The breakfast panini was fabulous and I couldn't hardly put it down- a great bread, mystery sauce, egg, avo and bacon. I've been eyeballing this place online for ages. Finally tried them out! They're a small cute coffee shop tucked in the middle of casa grande. I absolutely loved the vibe here! I did a pickup order before work and loved the atmosphere. The cashier was very friendly to the woman before me. They had my shake ready and in a freezer for when I picked up. Didn't try any of the food this time but I'm so impressed with my shake I'll definitely be back. My drink was $12, honestly on the same level if going to one stop nutrition. They're local/small business so I expected to pay around $10! Shop small and try them out! Ordered the Sumo, with almond milk, extra peanut butter and a scoop of whey protein. A one-stop coffee/Tea place that has a vibe of chic and coolness. The guys who served us were accommodating and kind. I love sites that have no complicated menus, and the ingredients are transparent. If you are ever in this location, this is a better stop than a franchise one. The matcha I ordered has ardent sweetness but barely tasting the bitterness of matcha. I do not live in Casa Grande and needed to spend the day here while my cat was getting spayed . My kids and I were looking for a place to sit, eat, and escape the heat. We saw Deadlift from the road and we're admiring how charming it is. The inside is just as cute as the outside. We were the only customers inside (Monday afternoon) so it wasn't busy. I ordered bubble waffles for my kiddos and avocado toast for myself. My kids LOVED their waffles and ate every bite. The avocado toast was good but not the most creative I've had. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and we didn't wait long for our food. I would visit Deadlift again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone living or just passing through Casa Grande. read more

Both of the ladies were friendly. I came in on a Tuesday for a juice, but they were sold out. They said they sold out over the weekend & would be back in stock the next day. They were also sold out of the blueberry sorbet for the açaí bowl, but I'm actually happy about that. The coconut sorbet was delicious & this was the most delicious açaí bowl I've had in a long time. At other places, I find the sorbet can get frost bite if it's prepared too long in advance. This one was amazing and I can't wait to come back to try a juice! I'm not a coffee drinker but I do love smoothie bowls, and Deadlift is a great option for when I want one quickly to-go (i.e., when I don't have time to make breakfast before work). The Kimura bowl is my favorite - there's a good amount of fruit and granola relative to smoothie too (I think most places don't put enough topping). The people at the counter are never super helpful or enthusiastic to be there, but today I ordered this coffee today and paid $.75 extra for mocha syrup and there was absolutely none in it. There's also waffles-bubble, Belgian, and a third type that all look great. There are many different add-ons you can order. There's also sorbet bowls, teas, smoothies. We were excited to have an acai bowl and green juice without having to drive to Chandler, Gilbert or Scottsdale since we try to eat clean. The bowl was the worst one that I have ever had in my life, the acai berry itself was at the bottom and nearly nonexistent, the texture seemed like a scoop of ice cream and tasted wrong. The bowl was essentially just fruits with what tasted like the poorest quality quicker oats fluffy oatmeal added in rather than actual granola chunks. The bowl was not blended and 3 bites I tossed it into the trash bin in the restaurant. My wife loves vegetable juices and couldn't stomach what she was given. This was also tossed into the trash. We left disappointed, hungry, and $19.53 lighter from our wallets as this was also the most expensive acai bowl and juice place we have visited between Portugal, Scottsdale, Chandler, Mesa, and Gilbert in terms of quality ingredients for what was paid for. For reference, we usually visit the Nutrition Spot in Scottsdale for clean smoothies and juices, Seed Shack in the Mesa area for smoothies and vegan meals, clean juice in various cities ( haven't tried their bowls yet ), Linden Organics, Berry Beet Juice Bar, Kwench Juice Cafe, Raw Organic Juice Bar, Newtritious Juice Bar, Emerald City Smoothie , Shake Smart, Feel Good Nutrition, Local Juicery ( Sedona and very expensive ) and finally many family run smoothie and açaí bowls cafes in Portugal, Pennsylvania and Manhattan . The price to quality ingredients ratio was very poor at Deadlift. I will give them a second star for the ambience and location however. TLDR: Poor quality ingredients, prices higher than it should be for what you get and frankly we left with bad tastes in our mouth. read more

I was in town for work and this was the oasis of good coffee in Casa Grande, BUT this lil coffee shop needs to prep if they have more customers than normal for this town. They were running out of their delicious acia for the bowls, waffle maker going down, and once on my many visits they were out of coffee?!!?!?! WHAAAAAAAT!? Run to Food City across the street for some backup. We don't mind if you put forth effort, but they were just like "we got decaf" Nah, I need caffeine. I had to come back and review my original posting due to the service. The older woman that works there is pretty crabby and very unprofessional. Granted their coffee and shakes are usually good, but too many times the shakes are made inconsistently. She gets mad and annoyed when you ask for something different than what the menu originally states. And recently when she made my drink incorrectly, I was blamed for it and treated very unfairly. After remaking my drink the older woman said to me.. "Shut up and take ur drink!" WARNING: Be sure not to say anything if she makes your drink incorrectly. Went in here after breakfast to have a coffee. I ordered the Americano with caramel over ice. Every Americano I have ever had was made with steamed milk/cream. This was not. I am not sure if he didn't hear me but there was no caramel flavor. I am pretty sure it wasn't in there. My wife had the drip (regular black coffee). She said the coffee was just plain bad. I tasted it and it did not taste good. They did mix old coffee with some fresh brewed so not sure if that was the reason. She didn't finish the coffee and when we dumped it out there was a black sludge at the bottom of the cup. Not at all good. Sorry, just a bad experience. read more

Their food truck has an incredible Mexican Spice Latte that is , but you MUST try their waffle, egg, bacon (or sausage) sandwich with syrup to dip it in!!
