The rice was riiiiiidiculously bad, almost all of the tuna was in large chunks, the sauces were bland and the "fresh" toppings weren't fresh. Some of the best smoothie bowls The fruit and bases are real here, not overly sweetened like some chain competitors. Service wise, I always feel welcome when I enter and the ambiance is better chill. Improvement wise, the membership point systems accumulate to slow, fruit bowls aren't cheap and I've been coming here for about two years now and haven't had a free bowl yet. I ordered an acai bowl for pickup and waited outside about 10 minutes after placing my order before popping my head in. When I mentioned my mobile order, the employee grabbed one out of the freezer and handed it to me in a bag. The employee was really nice and the establishment itself is tiny and quaint but the bowl is just not up to par. For around $11 you get about 1/2 of playa bowl's servings and it did not look fresh whatsoever. I also paid a couple extra dollars for additional toppings that I believe they forgot to add on. Disappointing and not how I wanted to have my first acai bowl of the summer. Acai bowls are not cheap and if I go out of my way to get one, I hope the minimum expectation is that the fruit and ingredients are at least fresh. read more

First thing I noticed upon entering was the decor that made me feel like I was in the jungle of the Amazon. Very tropical vibes. The luscious greens on the wall gave me a deeper craving for some fresh fruit. To go with the green theme, I decided to give the Green Crush bowl a try. On my first spoonful, when I bit into the bite and let it simmer in my tastebuds, I felt like I just entered a world of intense flavor. I know you know what I mean when I say this bite was very exciting. The ingredients were all extremely fresh. I swear to you god must have grew these blueberries himself. This place is one of my top açaí bowl spots! If you're in glen rock, you have to stop in and try it! My biggest concern with açaí bowl spots is if the bases have flavor because I've been to places where the bases were bland. It's a cute spot next to SWEAT indoor cycling gym. The vibe is very tropical/beachy. The cashiers are always friendly which is always a plus! My favorite thing to do with my bowl is do half and half because I can't ever decide on just a pitaya base or a green base. My boyfriend always gets the pitaya base (as pictured) . You have a wide range of fruit selection and of course the best part is the drizzle! Peanut butter drizzle is my absolute favorite! We used a local flavor coupon here. Please don't buy poke bowls and go somewhere like poke works instead for better quality, price, and portion. The rice is cooked at night and then reheated in the morning. It is not cooked properly, becomes stale in storage, and then reheating it ruins the rice completely. It is dry and clumped up, essentially not edible. Neither for white or brown rice. read more

This was the worst place I have EVER ordered from. Ordered 2 Poke Bowls with shrimp and chicken in each. BOTH MISSING the SHRIMP. Not one piece of shrimp anywhere. Totally not happy with the false pricing and extra charges on my bowl. I got a custom bowl which was clearly marked $12.50, it showed 5 steps including a topping. I was charged $13 for the bowl and another $1 for a topping (total $14.97 with tax) but it is clearly marked that a topping is included and any extra topping is $1. When I told the manager he had nothing to say except it's not included and they need to work on the sign. My bowl was also overloaded with granola which made it way too sweet and unsatisfying. Pitaya was a different consistency, all syrup. Bowls are not even filled up halfway now. Place was great but lost it.

I walked in and was only acknowledged my the staff making the bowls not the actual cashier. Another customer walked in after me and was greeted and then served before me as I was ignored. The cashier also did not mention that there is a higher charge for using a debit card or credit card I was charged $16 for a bowl because I used my card if i knew that I would've used my cash. I was only aware of the facts AFTERWARDS because your staff did not tell there would be a price difference. Your cashier did a poor job with her customer service. I am very unsatisfied with the facts I was up charged for using my card and always being ignored. Please do better. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Went in and ordered their basic chocolate smoothie priced at $9. When I went to pay, the total came to $9.98. I was paying with cash. I questioned the price since the tax rate is under 7% in NJ. Should have been $9.60 in total. The attendant didn't have an answer and said that's what it is. Proceeded to speak to the GM. I asked why am I paying an extra 4% on my order. She didn't know why. Then I asked if they are charging me for credit card fees. She came clean and said yes. If you are charging those fees to customers for using credit cars that's fine. But, please post a sign indicating that! As for paying with cash, you are just cheating customers and pocketing an extra 4%. I would venture to think what other schemes are being done at the customers expense to pocket some extra revenue.
