We both ordered the Tiramisu Creme Puff with Black Milk Tea and Açaí Bowls! Again, the tea was fantastic and the açaí bowls was exceptional! The ambiance was minimalistic and cute! They don't have much varieties of tea choices. Or toppings. I guess I have too much of a "high expectation" since I'm from Georgia and we literally have bubble tea in every plaza. The guy was very nice and took my order very well with no problem. The lady came back from speaking to some other customers and told the guy she was taking over very Rudly. And keep in mind the entire the we were there waiting for someone to take our order she kept informing us she would be right with us. Like we were impatient or something or like she had a problem with us. It was very rude and I didn't like that. She was very rude. And we weren't acting impatient or anything in that nature. We were very calm and just looking at our choices. Besides that the black milk tea was delicious! Probably one of the best I've had. Wish we had some boba but apparently they ran out and thought to not make anymore. They did offer us some free ones but they only had 3 other options and they didn't sound so great. I first had bubble tea in Colorado and it was fun treat so i was curious my daughter told me about this place in Destin. Even though far from home, we decided to make a trip out there to try it out. This would make a great photo op for all the tourists) but we were greeted with a friendly smile and a very interesting menu. I thought the tea itself was really good, but had a couple of issues ordering it. First, there was only one employee there. She was fantastic, ran around the place in a hurry, making them faster than anyone I've seen before. Unfortunately, it's hard to justify spending over $6 per drink when I wait longer in line for it than it takes to suck down. One large group order made the rest of us stand there for 20 minutes. This was a really awkward experience where I was pretty much being ignored and the employee/owner was seemingly really annoyed with us all coming in so my boyfriend had to order for us and the drinks tasted very watered down / artificial but the tapioca was good, not hard or dry. I ordered a white peach tea with sea salt foam. It was bland and nasty like 95% water and 5% tea. Sea salt foam was delicious but combine that with bland tea water. Almost $7 for small drink about the size of a starbucks grande. For that price I can get a venti drink at starbucks. I visit Destin once a year with my significant other and we are so happy a bubble tea place has finally opened up in the area. I am originally from Houston, Texas and can honestly say the Tiramisu puff cream black milk tea with bubbles was one of the best milk teas I have ever had. Back home in Houston, I have a bubble milk tea about once every week (extreme, I know) and can confidently say this was one of the tastiest I've had. The tapioca bubbles are cooked well and perfectly chewy. I'm all about supporting locally owned businesses and am extremely picky when it comes to my taste in bubble milk teas. The woman helping us wasn't the kindest at first but slowly warmed up to us as we spoke to her more and more. This doesn't take away from the fact that they know how to make their Tiramisu puff cream black milk tea extremely well. There aren't a lot of places like this in Destin, so I do highly recommend it for anyone wanting to try something new in the area or wanting to get their boba fix. If you're looking for an AUTHENTIC bubble tea place, and one that does not use powder, I repeat, DOES NOT use powder, like most other places around here, than SWEETEA is the place to go. They use and brew real tea and their entire menu is customizable to your taste. I don't understand why this place has scored so low. It seems like people either don't know what REAL bubble tea is, or they are just too impatient. The couple that own SWEETEA are super nice and do the best they can for just opening their store. I also found out the owner of this business came from Alhambra in SoCal. I love the boba they used in the drinks. Very fresh and chewy not like other place that has mushy boba. I got mango reverie smoothie (coconut milk, mango, orange juice) with boba. It taste an actual mango grinded up into a smoothie unlike those fake powdered mango ones. They did not put much sugar as a way I feel like to keep it healthy. U can taste the sweetness to the tapioca but it's not too sweet to get a sugar tooth. It's got the texture of a mochi but it's still not too chewy.
