Decent spot for poke but I found the fish bland. Also they give too much rice and not enough fish. I came by for lunch on Thursday around 1:30 pm and it wasn't crowded at all. Parking is easy in the garage and is free for the first 1.5 hours. The ambiance is nice, feels like a proper restaurant rather than a casual spot. There's outdoor seating as well when the weather is nice. You can either go up to the counter to order or order at the kiosk. They offer a variety of signature poke bowls, but I chose to build my own for $16.60. It comes with your choice of two proteins as well as up to three bases and up to 8 toppings. I got salmon with the miso sesame sauce and sushi rice, plus a variety of toppings. It was definitely filling, as they don't skimp on the rice and toppings, but I wish there was more salmon. Also, the salmon tasted super bland; I could barely taste the miso sesame sauce. Overall Sweetfin is a decent spot for poke but I wasn't super impressed.

Everything looked fresh, colorful, and beautifully prepared. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the bowl was really good. Nice spot for a quick, healthy meal.

Get $5 off if you join their rewards program! I tried their spicy tuna burrito and it was tasty! Well made burrito and the proportions were nice. I liked the lightly toasted finish. Of course I wished there was more tuna in my burrito. They serve it with an oil crunchies on the side. It has a nice ambiance with outdoor seating. Service was friendly and quick! You can create your own bowl or burrito as well.

Sweetfin is one of my favorite poke spots and I love that they have a rewards program via Thanx. I prefer to make my own poke bowl and I LOVE that I can add up to 8 toppings. No judgment that I put 4-5 servings of seaweed salad either. Their truffle sriracha mayo is otherworldly and I do recommend getting it on the side so it doesnt make your bowl too thick. The guava lemonade is a great drink and they use crushed ice if that's something that's important for you. The homemade taro chips are crispy and while I'm not a fan of the wasabi spice it's definitely a unique spin on it. I like to order these in the combo for $19.95 as their bowls are already $16.60 so it's really not that much more to get it. Overall, a 5/5 poke spot that I'll always recommend. (8/50--2025)

Sweetfin.... You DESERVE a little Poetic Justice! But First... Everyone: Grab a life vest (for safety)... Bring your best fishing pole... And let's Go Fishing for some Poké. Now drop your line, give an occasional jig to your rod and let's go trolling to see what we catch.... (10 minutes later) Just keep swimming Just keep swimming -Dory Oooh..... I think I caught something! Let's reel it in to see what we got. Ahhh man! Just another Yelp Poem from Lance L. Well, let's see how it measures up and we can determine then if we want to keep it or just throw it back into the Sea of Yelp. ------------------------------ The one thing about a bowl of Poké Is that you can never really get enough, The hardest part is choosing the ingredients This part can be really, really tough. Do you go with the prized Yellowfin Tuna Or play it safe with Salmon as your choice, For those that want Tuna, Salmon AND Shrimp Be sure to ask for it in your Big. Boy. Voice. There is absolutely no room to be timid When you are in front of a Poké display, Just know that if order multiple premium items You better be ready to cough up that pay. You can choose from 7 Signature Poké Bowls The only decision is what you want as your base, Spicy tuna, Gochujang salmon & Mango albacore Are the ones that I want in front of my face. I for one am all about building my own bowl Loading it up is as simple as One, two, Three, 1) Top It. 2) Sauce It. 3) Base It. Pretty simple, Don't you agree?? Besides all of their ingredients being Fresh It's their core values that resonate with me, Sustainable, Earth Conscious, & Ethically sourced At Sweetfin, this is their 100% Guarantee. So hurry up and come get your Poké on Grab a wooden spork or chop sticks if you dare, And if you get a white chocolate yuzu Rice Krispie You better be ready to tear off a piece and share. Oh and by the way... You can take off that life vest now. ;)

Salmon New Bowl

I tried this place multiple times and my very concern was the rice. It wasnt cooked properly and it was hard to chew. Now I saw a new salmon bowl promo and I decided to try again. The bowl was good, well balanced ingredients, tasty and the rice was cooked properly. Decent place with decent food - try it at least once

You're looking at 5$ dollars worth of fish and mango!

You're looking at 5$ dollars worth of fish. The amount of food you get is infuriating, employees are not to blame, but I don't know where corporate's are looking...

Large B.Y.O.B. Poke Bowl with Iced Matcha Tea.

I've always heard of Sweetfin, but this is my first time trying it. Poke is always good, but the amount of fish can be disappointing. Unfortunately, Sweetfin reconfirms this theory, although it was filling enough especially if you're trying to be healthy. I got the large BYOB Poke Bowl ($19.09) with bamboo rice and citrus kale. Also picked salmon and yellowfin tuna for protein, black garlic gojuchang and spicy miso for sauce on the side, and 5 free topping options: crispy garlic, cucumber, jicama, radish, seaweed salad, and mushroom. The sauce is definitely needed as there isn't much flavor in the bowl without it. While the bowl is yummy, it is overpriced. I definitely wouldn't pay for this on my own as it was part of a company lunch order. Also ordered the Iced Matcha Tea ($4.79), which was quite forgettable. One thing I do find that Sweetfin does differently is their rice base options. You don't see the forbidden rice, bamboo rice, cauliflower rice, citrus kale, kelp noodle slaw, and seaweed salad.

Chef Jae guides you through a thoughtfully crafted $190 18 course "Taste Forest" that's sure to delight. When my husband and I showed up at the neighboring lounge (which does not open before the first Omakase dining slot at 5:30 pm), we weren't quite sure what to expect. When we told them we were there for the Omakase dinner at 5:30 pm, the staff kindly let us in out of the heat while they continued to prepare the space for service in both the lounge and restaurant. They don't have a liquor license so all cocktails are sake-based, but none the less enjoyable. They also offer beer and wine. We were offered a menu while we waited, and yes - any drink you purchase in the lounge may accompany you to your dining experience. You can also add on a sake-pairing to your omakase meal for $55 each. We very much enjoyed a Yuzu Cocktail and the sake pairing. The customer service was fantastic, personable, and filled with intention - but if I were to provide constructive criticism - somewhat clumsy on the delivery. Chef Jae had everyone introduce themselves and included a Chef mentee on finishing up the plating of the sushi. Chef Jae is talkative and clearly enjoys speaking with guests - this all lends itself to the homey feel of the experience - but some staff were so soft-spoken it was difficult to hear them as they introduced our sake pairings, and sometimes the service seemed poorly timed with the courses. I think with a little rehearsal of how they want to approach dinner service (mainly timing, introduction and flow) would provide some more confidence and better execution of the experience they clearly wished to impart. The food was fantastic, and truly felt like a journey. Everything is prepared in house, and of the best quality. My husband and I are sure to be thinking about our experience here for a long time, and will be recommending others to come check it out. Note: If an omakase experience is not in your budget, they also offer ala carte items.

From the incredibly fresh fish to the beautiful presentation, this meal was one of those experiences that won't leave my memory anytime soon. Located in the old town / downtown portion of Calabasas, it can get busy downtown, so anytime a restaurant here takes a reservation I make one, which was definitely the move. Even on a weekday at opening for lunch we were third in line (but again, had a reservation so no issue). Also I appreciate that they have valet parking, only $7 not bad since the street parking can be hard to navigate. The restaurant itself has such a sleek, modern vibe that makes it perfect for date night, girls' night, or celebrating something special. It definitely feels upscale, but still welcoming and comfortable. We ordered a variety of sushi, cocktails, and specialty rolls, and honestly there wasn't a miss. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, the flavors were balanced, and you can tell they put a lot of care into every dish. The quality absolutely shines through. Service was also 5 stars. Everyone was warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Different staff helped out and checked on us, I always appreciate a restaurant where everyone helps every table. Great service and felt personable. If you're a sushi lover who doesn't mind spending a little more $$$ for amazing quality and an elevated ambiance, then this spot deserves a place on your list. For a cocktail and a few rolls/sushi it was $100 a person, yes a little steep but the quality and presentation was there. If you want to save money opt out of the cocktails but you'll still spend about $75 a person that way. My favorite bites here were their speciality FatherKels Roll and the Amber Jack sushi to start. The rice was cold, packed too tightly, and tough, which really hurts the overall experience. A lot of the sushi was also overwhelmed by sauces, which covered up the flavor of the fish instead of highlighting it. Maybe this works if you like heavily dressed rolls, but it is not what I would call great sushi, especially by California standards. The wait was also frustrating, not just because it was long, but because of how poorly it seemed to be managed. It felt like regulars could walk up, say the right thing, and get seated while everyone else just stood around waiting. That kind of thing makes the experience feel pretty lousy. The restaurant itself is packed, loud, and cramped. The tables are tiny, and there are not many of them, so it is hardly a pleasant dinner experience.
