Flavor-wise, though, it was great. I also had the yellowtail roll, which I really enjoyed, and the hot sake was solid and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy feel. Overall, it did exactly what we were looking for--a good, casual sushi date night with tasty food. The restaurant has a modern look with wooden paneling and strip lighting, making it feel like a great date-night spot. There is ample parking as it's situated in a larger shopping plaza. Another thing I really liked is that sushi items come one piece at a time, while rolls come as four pieces, so you can try a much wider variety without getting overly full on one item. It's perfect for an AYCE menu where you want to sample as much as possible. We ordered from the premium menu and everything we tried was chef's kiss. They did seem to be having a bit of an off day with the service. Some of our food was delayed, and orders placed well after ours were coming out before ours. Our server did apologize and mention they were having some issues in the back but everything eventually came out, and it was very good. To make matters worse, we happened to visit on a hot day. The restaurant is completely open-air, but there were no fans or any noticeable airflow, making it very uncomfortable. Overall, we won't be returning. Between the tiny portions of protein, the poor service, and the uncomfortable dining environment, the experience wasn't worth it.
