    Teriyaki salmon dinner $24
    Brenda M.

Small sushi spot with fresh fish! I ordered my usual to try out a new place- spicy tuna roll and spicy scallop roll. Both tasted very fresh but they use a chili oil instead of a chili paste that I'm used to. Husband ordered the salmon teriyaki dinner that came with a miso soup with tofu but no seaweed and a salad. The salmon portion was small but tasted good. The teriyaki sauce was tasty and not overly sweet. The service was efficient. Ambiance was cramped as you sit at a bar. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner but not a top spot for me.

I stopped by this small dine-in sushi place and had a nice experience. The miso soup was really good, the sushi was okay, and the service was great -- very friendly and attentive. A cozy spot for a quick meal

Amazing vibe, outstanding sushi, the chefs are top of their game. We came here with our son when visiting in the area. A great little sushi spot that hit our taste buds and filled our craving for great sushi. We will be back.

I've been going to Tatsuki for over 30 years, and they consistently deliver excellent food quality and great prices. Their teriyaki chicken is unmatched, and the spicy tuna roll is a must-try. I recently had another fantastic meal there with excellent service. Chris, who has been there for a long time, makes the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Came here a few times for lunch, and both times, it was fantastic. It's your classic old sushi joint with a big bar seating with only a few tables. Tatsuki has a great lunch combo menu as well sushi. Both times I ordered, their lunch chirashi. Their chirashi has a nice variety assortment of fresh fish. Tatsuki Lunch Box A is another great option that comes with 6pc tempura, 6pc thick cuts sashimi, and spicy cut roll. Sushi: Spanish Mackerel- good but too much ponzu. Bafun Uni- Sweet and delicious Hotate- Sweet and tender. Overall, I enjoyed Tatsuki Sushi. Nothing fancy, just good delicious sushi with great service.

Ambience is great. Very old Japanese style restaurant with a lot of good sushi/sashimi. But I tried their udon at lunch time and I gotta say. They should stick to sushi and sashimi. All in all, come here during dinner time with one or two of your loved ones for a good sushi night. Don't come during lunch time like me and expect a decent meal between work.

Absolutely love this place so much. Came with my grandma who is in a wheelchair and they accommodated her to a large table. We had the most amazing sushi. The dragon roll as well as the salmon skin salad absolutely divine. All of the fish is fresh and the service is absolutely amazing. Never had to ask for more water or anything extra. I recommend this place to everybody for an amazing Sushi experience.

An absolute hidden gem. Came for lunch in the middle of the week and there was plenty available bar seating. I ordered the chirashi bowl and a blue crab hand roll. The chirashi bowl came with miso soup and pickled cucumbers which were delicious. The assortment of fish in the bowl was all fantastic with the salmon, fatty tuna, and eel being my favorites. The portion is more than filling as well! I usually am disappointed with most blue crab handrolls but theirs was an exception. The crab was sweet and light. The proportion of rice was spot on and the seaweed was crispy. I had a great experience and will be back.

This place never disappoints. The sushi is always fresh. Customer service is also great. They are all nice and friendly. We sat at the sushi bar and it was a nice experience as the sushi chefs were really attentive. Although it is a small space, I definitely recommend this place.

This restaurant is the best sushi you will ever have in town. It's worth the drive and the quality is hands down the best. I love the service. I love the humility and how they welcome you with the feeling of family. Don't get fooled by the other local places in town. This has been my spot for 10 years and counting.

This time we were able to get a table, and I'm glad we came back. The service was good overall. The staff was friendly, and while they could've been a little more attentive at times, it didn't take away from the experience. The food was delicious. I ordered a baked roll that was around $15, and while I really enjoyed it, I do wish it came with a few more pieces because five pieces felt a little light for the price. Flavor-wise, though, it was great. I also had the yellowtail roll, which I really enjoyed, and the hot sake was solid and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy feel. Overall, it did exactly what we were looking for--a good, casual sushi date night with tasty food. I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu.

We ordered several of the classic rolls along with two hand rolls that Steve suggested, and every single dish was delicious. Katsuya never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and the hospitality is top-notch. Everyone, from the hosts to the servers, greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. They offer both a regular and premium menu, and I'd definitely recommend going premium; the additional options are worth it. If you love yuzu and garlic oil, don't even read the rest of this--just drive on over. Their lunch special runs until 3 PM on weekdays, and the lunch menu is the same as dinner, which is a nice bonus. The restaurant has a modern look with wooden paneling and strip lighting, making it feel like a great date-night spot. There is ample parking as it's situated in a larger shopping plaza. Another thing I really liked is that sushi items come one piece at a time, while rolls come as four pieces, so you can try a much wider variety without getting overly full on one item. It's perfect for an AYCE menu where you want to sample as much as possible. We ordered from the premium menu and everything we tried was chef's kiss. They did seem to be having a bit of an off day with the service. Some of our food was delayed, and orders placed well after ours were coming out before ours. Our server did apologize and mention they were having some issues in the back but everything eventually came out, and it was very good. My favorites were the Ama Ebi (sweet shrimp), the Japanese scallop (which practically melts in your mouth) and the Yellowtail Cilantro Roll. Overall, if you're willing to spend a little more for better-quality AYCE sushi, Kizame is definitely your new spot.

I ordered tamago sushi for my toddler, and it was clearly spoiled. It's likely about 3 days old based on how far off it had gone. Not what you expect to be served, especially for a young child. Then, despite sitting down at 7:30pm, we were asked to leave at 8:30pm while my girls were still eating their ice cream, because the restaurant had other guests waiting (Wasn't the time limit two hours, not one?!). I tried to make the best of it and had my girls carry their ice cream out with them, but in the rush, my toddler dropped hers and burst into tears. It's disappointing to see a place we've loved start cutting corners on food quality and rushing loyal customers out the door. What happened, Kizame?

Having been to the studio city location and enjoying, it's no contest in terms of parking ease (just $7 valet, so $10 LOL) diverse, creative menu items, roominess (at least twice the size here), still a few open tables at all times to enjoy without super cramped environment and just generally blew the doors off pretty much any other sushi joint near or far. Started with the Exclusive menu...not to me (I wish) but a smaller paper menu with specials. The FatherKels Roll, my goodness, what a start. (Weird name comes from, as my son told me, some Instagram chick or something, the usual nonsense.) I couldn't care less if it was named the Long Island Lolita Roll, it was literally the pinnacle of rolls, the Mt Everest if you will of rolls. Then ordered a bunch of rolls from Yellowtail Cilantro, Green Dragon, Citrus, were all one better than the other. Super melt-in-your-mouth, good fish ratio, immaculate sauce parings and fusions harmoniously dancing in your mouth as your tastebuds get orgasmisized to oblivion. You'd think something as simple as a mushroom soup wouldn't warrant any praise...NOT HERE. What a soup, one of the best I've ever had. (Please get this). Everything we tried ranged from A to A+, and the bonus kicker, they have a Yuzu, yes YUZU sauce bottle on the table. Good luck finding that anywhere in the country without begging for it like a little bitch HAHAHAAAA Even the wasabi was so fresh and course ground, I mean just every box was checked and boxes you didn't even know ever existed. Gil, a slick cool dude/manager came to ask how our meal was and complimented our family and ordering taste, nice touch. Needless to say, one and never done; will be hard-pressed to eat sushi anywhere else again...yes I'm not joking. It's not cheap, blew 90 bucks a person all-in but worth every dollar plus interest.
