Yum to the Tum! When you are feeling sick to your stomach or sick in general this is the perfect food to help you be cured! Also really good for a hangover! The chicken pho and the broth are on point with flavor and then the condiments like bean sprouts and mint and etc bring into life! Yum

Love how there is a Pho So 1 one in West Hills. My family and I used to go to the one in Reseda all the time. Pho always comes out hot and delicious. I've switched over from the og pho tai to the pho dac biet (number 1) and it hits me to the core whenever I need a homey soup recovering from anything. Price has definitely gone up but seems like the portion size is somewhat bigger. Service is always fast. Ambiance is casual.

This is my go-to place for Vietnamese food. I usually get the #1 or the Vermicelli Bowl with Grilled Pork and shrimp. I also always get an order of egg rolls. The egg rolls are very flavorful and crispy and come with lots of veggies and dipping sauce. They dont look like your typical egg rolls but do not skip this item. I recommend them over the spring rolls which are also very good. The portions are substantial. The menu at the other Pho So 1 locations vary slightly. The servers are nice and attentive. The restaurant has plenty of seating as well. If you haven't tried this place you need to stop by as soon as possible. Especially if you're trying to cure a hangover!!!

My friend was craving pho so we came by here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Pho So 1 is located in a plaza with lots of parking space. There is plenty of indoor seating and though it was a weekday at lunch, this place still had a half dozen or so tables filled. Only indoor seating is available and the food came super quick after ordering. For the pricing related to the portions of pho offered, I think this place is definitely competitive. Chín Pho 5/5, I had this and it was HUGE. I normally cannot finish a full bowl of pho and this was no exception. It came delightfully hot and steamy, the noodles were soft and most importantly the pho broth was delicious Chín Ñam Pho 4/5, my friend had this and she liked it and rated it as such Taro tea 4/5, I don't know if this was meant to be more of a tea or smoothie but it was cold and had parts of it freeze up and had to be broken down with my straw. The taro is strong and sweet which I enjoyed. Thai Tea 3/5, my friend had this with boba. She felt it was just average.

I like the new menu. In it, prices were categorized by type of meal. One gnawing question, though: does this new menu make it simple for customers to easily calculate the total or to make it easy for them to amend the price on the menu in a short notice? Either way, the menu is great in Ed's opinion. The quality of Yangzhou fried rice I ordered today went down below par! No doubt the rice was fried on laced with flavor with intense fire on a wok but the ingredients put into it were a bit too stingy (again, this was based on today's order) -- Chinese sausages were too small to be seen and were chopped too thin to even felt it on my tongue! Alas, after deep dive digging the pile of "rice" on the plate, I discovered two small shrimps besides the sausages! No other meat was discovered after that. That was a different approach Pho So 1 use to combat the inflation (less on meat!) I hope, the management will readjust and correct this so that the fried rice will be more tasteful & enjoyable. The service was fast as usual. Lighting was on par. The restroom was okay standard for an Asian restaurants; floor was always wet & no paper towel. Waiters/waitress were pretty polite. Enjoy skimpy meat dishes...

Our go to Pho place in West Hills. Always good dishes & very quick. Reasonably priced & staff are attentive.

Vermicelli with Pork and egg roll

First time trying this place out. Food was meh... I ordered the Vermicelli with pork and egg roll and this is what I got. I usually order this dish from Pho Saigon in Chatsworth. Surprised to see the small amount of pork in this dish at this place. Place was clean and busy at lunch. Service was good.

17 bucks. No I haven't eaten it yet

Place is pricey and they're stingy. There are other options around. This place is no longer going to be one of them

The young lady that took the order and greeted me when I walked in was nice. The restaurant itself, for the brief moment I was in to collect my order, was large and clean. I ordered both Shrimp Spring Rolls and Chicken Sticks, which are described as 'Grilled chicken leg satay, topped with peanuts and served with peanut sauce.' The Spring Rolls were a nice size and freshly made, but lacking in traditional mint, which wasn't listed in the description and sure makes a difference. The peanut sauce was okay, but again, lacking in flavor. The Chicken Sticks were a surprise. When I opened the container, it looked like thins "sheets" of chicken squares, folded and skewered, and glazed with sauce. I was expecting more of chunks of chicken, like a Thai satay stick. A Yelp pic from Dianna H a few months ago shows the folded pieces, but thicker and not as glazed. I should've read her review and skipped the skewers. Neither mine nor hers was topped with peanuts and I didn't receive a side of peanut sauce with the chicken sticks. What really surprised me is the chicken was cold. Not, "your order has been waiting and is no longer hot," but out of the refrigerator cold, which made the thin sheets tough to chew. My craving wasn't satisfied, but I was no longer hungry. Cheers! My friend and I came for dinner Wednesday night around 6 pm and it wasn't too crowded. There was a nonstop stream of customers coming in. By the time we left an hour later, most of the tables were full. They offer both Vietnamese food and boba. I was here for dinner but their drink menu looked good as well. Maybe next time! So much of the menu looked good, but as soon as I saw that they offer bo ne (steak + egg sizzling skillet), I was sold. It's one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, and not many restaurants in this area offer it. I got the B1 bo ne for $20.95, and my friend ordered their V7 grilled chicken with lemongrass over vermicelli for $17.25. The food came out pretty quickly. My bo ne looked amazing as it was sizzling a lot when it was served. The bread was warm and crunchy on the outside / soft on the inside, the egg was cooked over easy with a perfectly runny yolk, and they don't skimp on the meat. I really enjoyed everything about my dish except that I found it a bit sweet. My friend enjoyed his chicken vermicelli dish as well, though he was a bit disappointed the grilled chicken wasn't a whole piece of chicken but smaller pieces. I feel like "stir fried chicken" would be a better description.

Anyway, once we got inside, there wasn't anyway at the register and after standing there for a while, I noticed the kiosk so unplaced my order there. There were only two cooks in the back. We placed our order and sat down. The place was clean but everything seemed like it was do it yourself. The boys were thirsty and there wasn't an option for water on the kiosk, so I called one of the cooks from the back to pay for a water and he rang me up. It was pretty rough in there. At one point I had to get up and grab my own fork by reaching over the counter. Once our food was ready, one of the cooks brought our food and I wasn't really feeling my meal, which was the dynamite crawfish bowl. I didn't like the sauce it came with. I just picked at the crawfish and left the rest. As for the boys meal, the fried chicken adobo bowl was REALLY good! I ended up eating theirs because my oldest son didn't like it, which was great for me lol. My youngest and I tore that bowl up.
