I know some people have said that frozen yogurt has gone out of style, but this was the perfect sweet treat to end the night. They did have a little issue with their machine, as you had to push hard to turn the machine off--- and with kids and other patrons who just don't read, the machine was left running and made a big mess. I got vanilla flavored frozen yogurt and filled my cup with the perfect toppings (they have a good variety, and I got everything chocolate)! The bowls come in pretty big sizes, but the beauty is you choose how much you want it the cost is determined by the weight. Inside, I liked the décor, especially the frog mascot, which reminded me of Keroppi and you can even buy a plush and some other swag of this cute mascot. Like at all frozen yogurt shops, you build your own creation with the different flavors and toppings available. I chose a chocolate and vanilla base and added some goodies. I came in the other day with my 2 kids. My kids wanted to get the chocolate froyo, one of the popular flavors, but one of the workers who was short and had her curly hair down at the front, told me it wasn't working. Everything was fine until I overheard her telling the other coworker that she just "didn't care to fix it". I also witnessed her putting her feet on the counters and touching/eating the toppings without gloves on, which does not show cleanliness. My review is solely based on the customer service received. I should have gotten my cashiers name, but she had purple in her hair. So incredibly vibrant and happy! She went above and beyond and exceeded my expectation of customer care. I even signed up for their rewards program that saved me 10% on my order tonight. Idk who could say no to such a nice person. She asked if I wanted lids and a bag for my two ice creams. I honestly wish I had a business card so I could tell her to come work at my company because any customer care based industry would benefit from having her on their team. My family frequents this Sweet Frog a lot. The girls who usually are working the front counter are super nice and allow you to try new things they put out or flavors. Usually Sweet Frog runs a discount in the local Val-pak or Brambleton newsletters. But, I would recommend signing up for their rewards program since you get a free cup after so many visits. I'm a huge fan of froyo, and will drive vast distances when I get a craving. SweetFrog is one of my go-to places for a quick fix, especially since a new location opened close-by. The self-serve option is the best way to go and if you're froyo connoisseur, you know it's an art to make the perfect combos. The downside: it's not as big as its sister location in Fairfax so it doesn't have as many flavors. But sometimes you can make an exception that size doesn't matter! read more

Really enjoyed Sweet Frog on my first visit there ever today. The kids enjoyed it too. I love that you pay by the ounce especially with two toddlers who never eat that much anyway. Topping bar was better than Sweet Berry in Fairfax which I just recently tried too. The Dulce De Leche was really good!! I also tasted the mango which was good too, but was wanting it to be creamy. Overall rating for me is 4.5 stars out of 5. The reason I am giving this place the 4.5 star rating is because there are a couple of things that are a little frustrating at times when I go to Sweet Frog. 1.) This establishment is quite small and because they have a few chairs and tables located inside this establishment for people to sit and eat causes the place to be quite crowded. So when it is crowded not only does the line start outside of the store bit now there is families inside the store sitting and eating which makes the place a bit crowded (if you can get in here after the rush then it isn't so bad). 2.) I can't stand when I go to put any of the free-for-all toppings on my yogurt the employee is right there fixing the spoons, so I end up having to wait for them to sit the spoon. So not only does that bother me but it also slows the line down for customers trying to pay. Can you say annoying and that it is time for a new method for distributing toppings (i.e. a topping distributor something similar to the way the yogurt is being dispensed). I mean come on now Sweet Frog this is the new age no need for self serving spoons. I mean the way the world is going they should be able to make an phone app for that.....lol. However, once get past those little things I absolutely enjoy the different variety of Sweet Frog's yogurt selections. The yogurts I typically get when I go in are the, "Cake Batter" and the "Strawberry Banana". Those are the ones I enjoy the most. I know some people may not like the taste of Sweet Frog's yogurts but you have to understand as a yelper, food enthusiast, and common sense person that not all people are going to like what you like. I need to stop coming back here! I can't stand how dirty this place is, it's a bunch of younger kids working here not unlike other froyo places. But this sweet frog always has frozen yogurt spills or toppings strewn across the floor. Take a look at the white wire shelves with the toppings they sell right in front of the register and you'll see how much old dried froyo has dripped all over!! I hate how dirty this place is but my family keeps coming back bc its so close! I will say that the staff is friendly albeit I have never once seen the manager here. I can only imagine what it looks like behind the scenes if the general area is so sloppy. It could also be that I come around 5-8pm?! But come on!!!!! I have been to 3 Sweet Frogs... I like Sweet Frog but have learned that they are not all the same. This one is clean and had good selections. The cashier insisted that all dishes could be rung up together even though at all the other ones they have only "like" dishes rung up together - I was told this is because they deduct the weight of the bowl from the calculation, which makes sense. I would take PinkBerry, TangySweet, Fro-Yo, basically any yogurt place over this place. I'm not a fan of this yogurt, it had no flavor for me. I definitely prefer TangySweet over this soft serve style yogurt wanna be icrecream with no real sweetness. We just tried Sweet Frog and Pinkberry for the very time, within the past 72 hours. Conclusion: Both are quite good. For the Price, and the Experience, Sweet Frog wins. For the quality of the frozen yogurt itself, Pinkberry is the winner (though it doesn't have as many flavors). The Pinkberry frozen yogurt just seems more substantial, vaguely healthier. The toppings at both places are about on par with one another, though Sweet Frog may have just a few more. Prices: We got 2 reasonably large adult bowls and 1 child bowl for $10.50 at Sweet Frog. At Pinkberry, it was $14 for somewhat smaller bowls. read more

We got two large yogurts there (we loaded up two cups, thinking they would be priced on the basis of them being their own cup)....for 16 bucks. I could have bought a month's supply of ice cream for that. Then the kid at the counter abruptly says 'put the cups there", as if it is only natural that all food that you prepare yourself should of course be weighed in order to pay for it. I should have left them on the counter and walked out, because it wasn't very good, and should have been priced much less.. A go-to place to bring the kids to reward a good test result or other job-well-done! I see another reviewer commented about this location being dirty. I was a little shocked to see that. At least with my family's many experiences over many years, it's always been in tip-top cleanliness condition - alas only the opinion of this Ashburn Neat-Freak! I've never had a bad experience here. The flavors are terrific, the toppings are great (although I do miss the bananas!), and the cash-register people do a great job in working through a long line, which seems ever-present from June through September (a sign of a local, successful business!). read more

I give 1 out of 5 for the following reasons: 1. I care about my froyo's taste so first and main reason is the nasty taste of sweet frog. I take Ice berry, Pink berry, Tutti Frutti or Zinga over their tasteless (well it does have lots of sugar) froyo anytime. 2. did I mention tasteless? . 3. so many toppings but mostly cereals and gummy candies and no bursting bubbles? 4. FOAM CUPS?? Now that everyone knows foam cups can cause cancer, why don't you switch to paper cups like everyone else? it's more earthy ("God" would like it) and your customer's won't exchange cancer for losing fat. i'm sure you are using them because they are much cheaper than paper cups which other respected froyos use but when you go cheap on cups, toppings, flavors and even store design you end up with a cheap establishment which is distant to fail. you might make money for the time that no competition is around but eventually other non religious feeding companies will come to Ashburn. read more
