I had my first, and last, experience with sweetFrog today. I put in an order online and when I went to pick it up, the girl at the counter told me they hadn't made it and asked if I wanted a copy of my order so I could make it myself. So why do they take online orders? Then while I was heading over to the machines, another girl came out from the back to say that my order had already been made and handed me a paper bag with my order in it. When I got home it turned out that it was missing one of the toppings that I had paid for (I double checked my receipt to see if it was a "me problem," it wasn't), and the green apple sorbet was just...gross. It was really watery and tasted artificial. I tried to eat it and wound up throwing the whole thing in the trash. I also had caramel sauce which I couldn't even taste. The whole thing was a $13.00 fail (and I'm mad that I added a tip when I ordered). I don't know if it is this location (Woodmore in Lanham, MD) or if it is the product in general, but I will not be going to sweetFrog again. UPDATE: I called to ask for a refund and was told that they can't do refunds for online orders and that I need to request it online. I used the ordering system on the sweetFrog website and there is no place to request a refund. The person I spoke with didn't know what to do and gave me a phone number to call. When I called that number it went to "Shareholder Services at Computer Share." I give up. Don't go here. read more

If I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! I usually go to the Woodmore location very frequently but today as I approached the door at 8:22pm, keep in mind they close at 9pm, but it was a sign on the door said they were closing at 8:30pm today. I was greeted at the door by this particular employee who would not give me her name & was very rude. I asked why they were closing so early today she said she did not know so I asked for a corporate number she told me they didn't have a number to give, I asked for the managers name & number she said the manager wasn't there, I in turn again asked for the name & number of a manager that I could speak with & she said she's not giving me a name. My kid likes this place and was begging me to take her for months. My first time here. We arrived here at 12:35 pm and the store was closed. There were many signs on the doors, so it took a minute to see that the store opened at 1:00 pm. No big deal, I just went over to Wegmans. We got back to the store a little after 1:00 pm. Upon entering, there is a table with hand sanitizer and plastic gloves. We then get our cups and go to create our bowls. My kid got vanilla soft serve and I got a mixture of chocolate and vanilla. We then head to the toppings station where an employee takes the cup and adds the toppings. I got Oreos and my kid got chocolate shavings. It's then weighed and i paid. The printer wasn't working, but we were told the total was $15.xx. We take our ice cream to the car and I was underwhelmed and disappointed. For $15 for two bowls of soft serve, I expected to be blown away and I really wasn't. The Oreos tasted more like sandwich cookies than Oreos. They were stale and devoid of any taste. I'm not even sure why my kid likes this place so much. I will not be coming back. I can pay less for better tasting ice cream somewhere else. read more

They had one person working and I understand their pain with employing consistant employees. However, when the owner finally came out from the back to assistant with the line, he came over and just looked at me. So I looked at him, waiting to be greeted. He never opened his mouth, so I finally said, "Good afternoon, are you going to greet me after we've been waiting in the line with now almost melted yogurt?" He still looked and rudely replied, "I had things to do in the back and if you want toppings let me know". NOPE...Dismissed me completely with no apology. So my daughter and I put down our cups that were filled with yogurt and walked out. I am tired of patronizing businesses who could careless about good customer service. I love premium Froyo! There, I've said it... and not just during the summer months... I like this location because it is conveniently located in the Woodmore Towne Center. I can get my grocery shopping done at Wegmans, get gas from Costco, then drop in to Sweet Frog for an early evening treat. It's a fairly new location, has a clean, open feel, with lots of natural lighting coming through. Lots of parking available too. They offer 16 non-fat & low-fat premium yogurt flavors although I am partial to pecan praline, dulce de leche, pistachio, or sweet coconut. Not to mention over 50 different toppings! 45 cents per ounce so be easy. Did you know Frog was an acronym? (Fully Relying on God)!!! I'm definitely a fan of the company and their focus on community and outreach. Sweet Frog lost a star because the employees at this location are not very nice, but I am willing to update my review if I notice improvement. Random Observation: PG County police officers like eating yogurt at this location too so I always feel safe. :) read more

If you don't live near this place, then I do not recommend it. We are from out of town, and I have a family with four sons, which one is a baby, and they did not allow us to sit down and eat our yogurt. It was raining outside and I asked them if they expect us to eat outside in the rain they said "yes, or you can go across the street and eat inside of the Chipotle." I spoke to the manager and he said "we are doing this because of Covid", yet none of them are wearing masks and they are handling our food up close. I really believe they are just being lazy and they do not do not want to clean up after the customers, thus, not allowing customers to feel comfortable in their store. Spending $60 there and not being able to enjoy our yogurt really made me regret buying from there. Totally not customer friendly, and for sure, not family friendly. This is the sweet frog closest to me, unfortunately. I have to agree with many of the other reviews that the place is not clean all. It feels rather.. sticky. My concern is, if employees aren't attentive to cleaning the area customers CAN see, I'm afraid of what the areas out of sight look like. I'm sure more sticky, grimy and not up to health department code. Keeping up appearances is not a priority for this location. I always get original tart flavor which was available. The toppings however were pretty lack luster, they all looked dry and dusty as though they'd been sitting out for a week. My biggest disappointment was the lack of Nutella. Every sweet frog I've ever been to in my history of sweet frogging(4-5 years) has had Nutella has a topping. It's my favorite and I hate to do without it. On this trip, I had to. Of another strange note--when I went to pay, there was a woman behind me in line. A woman I did not know at all. The cashier asked me if myself and the unknown woman were paying together or separately. Separate.. because we aren't together and I don't know this person. Odd because the woman and I had no interaction that indicated togetherness. Guess the cashier assumed we might be together. I was curious as to why? Does she assume all people in line are together? Today a friend and I decided we wanted yogurt and went to sweet Frog. We love this place absolutely love it! To my dismay it was filthy!!!! I mean food all over the floor the tables and the counter tops, it was very disgusting. Several of the tables are broken with food all over them just a mess! I mean it was really dirty. I asked the young man that was eating yogurt behind the counter if he knew how dirty is was out here. He passed me on to a women who was stirring the fruit with one hand and texting with the other. I asked her the same question she stated *I will get to it in a minute* and continued to text..... Now normally I do not like to leave such negative reviews but the store looked as if it had not been cleaned all day; and If I were the franchisee /owner I would want to know. Since this spot is pretty new, it still has that "new" feel...impeccably clean, bright, cheery staff, not crowded when I went. Would have only been better if they had some of the other flavors thy advertised on the website. I hope they rotate often! I tried the raspberry-pomegranate and the very berry, I think. Topped with fresh fruits and those little "popper" things that are oh-so fun to eat...Feel like a kid eating 'em, like toy candies.. or candy toys...idk.. it's fun tho - get them on whatever (fruity) flavor you get! This is my first and possibly last visit to this location! On the hottest day of the year, this location is only staffed with one individual. The young lady working by herself, is responsible for checking people out, keeping the toppings stocked, and keeping the store clean! In addition to people just sitting around sampling and not buying, this location was out of some very basic toppings like strawberries and mangoes! Also, cleanliness was questionable at best. Why 4 Stars? *The customer service is usually very friendly *There's never really much of a wait so I'm in and out quickly *The prices are fair, especially for fro-yo with toppings which can get expensive *The flavors and toppings are extensive and always fresh *Clean, clean, and more clean *It is completely self-serve. You do not have to rely on sales associates to fix your ice-cream, touch your toppings, etc. *The decor as well as the atmosphere is cute, family-friendly, and inviting So then Why Not 5? *On a few occasions, I've heard some music playing in this establishment that probably wasn't the most fitting on that family friendly atmosphere that I love so much. My 1st visit at this location. It's contrasts sharply with other sweet frog locations, for one its dirty and the customer service isn't friendly. One of the frozen yogurt machines wasn't working, there was no sign and when I told the attendant he replied as if I should have known. I kindly suggested to place a sign. He just walked away. This sweetfrogs is the worse. I have tried and tried to give this establishment a chance but they continue to let me down. Here is a list of problems. 1. One Sunday in July they closed 30.minutes early and was dishonest as to the reason for closing early. 2. For approximately 2 weeks in August the staff claimed that no one cut any fresh fruit. Therefore, no fruit was available as toppings. 3. The machines were cut off 20 minutes before closing 4. Now on August 20, 2017 they have a long list of frozen yogurt that they are out of. Out of all the flavors they only have 6 flavors available to customers. 5. The broken door has been taped up the entire summer making it difficult for customers to enter and exit the establishment. 6. In addition, the restrooms are nasty without tissue. If you try to look up the closes sweetfrogs and this one pops up RUN! It's a waste of your time to come to this location. read more

I always believed that any food that you pay for by weight is a hustle. With that being said Sweet Frog keep scamming me. SF stops aren't for me and I have very little say in the matter but who cares. The kids love it and we have another great hour of family convo and chill. The constant picks seem to be any of the berry flavors and mango mixes, topped w poppers or gummies. Usually my kids mix two flavors of yogurt and two or three toppings. I'm sure they think it's healthier than ice cream and I'd be interested in knowing the truth to that. The decor is basic with plastic low sitting chairs but we hang around most times. Usually we're comfortable enough. If only SF offered wifi, I can see refills with mine. read more

After a disastrous dinner, my friend and I decided to go to Sweet Frog for frozen yogurt. I'd never been here--in fact, I rarely eat frozen yogurt but I'm glad we stopped in. You can pick either a small, medium or large cup and you can choose whatever frozen yogurt you want. You can also get cones but I think they're up front where the cashiers are. I got mostly non dairy yogurt while my friend got a little of everything. After that, you can get wild with toppings--I just got cherries and shredded coconut (I'm a little more conservative with toppings...lol). The yogurt is charged by weight and I think it was about $8.00 for both. The environment was nice, young people and adults alike enjoying yogurt. The kids running the store were playing good music from Pandora (the Aaliyah channel). I had a good time and it was a good ending to a not so good evening! I love sweet frog! There aren't many frozen yogurt places in the bowie/mitchellville/largo area so this is my go to spot. The place is fairly new so it is very clean, the workers are polite, and the yogurt is delicious. They have plenty of toppings as well so you have a lot to choose from. It's located right next to Best Buy towards the back of the Woodmore Towne Center. I love this place!! Go check them out. read more

I just walked in, and right back out. When we first walked in, I noticed a dirty smell. As we got closer to the yogurt machines I looked at the floors in front of them that were just covered in black, dirty footprints. I could understand this if it were rainy, but it's been sunny for several days. Then I looked at the yogurt machines and the drains were goopy and overflowing. The wall under the chocolate looked like it hadn't been cleaned in some time and was caked in dried sticky yogurt. After seeing all that, my craving for froyo was gone and I won't be returning. This location has really gone downhill. The only reason I'm not giving them 3 stars is because it isn't bad enough to keep me from coming back, however, if they made some improvements they would have us returning a couple times a week as opposed to once every other week. They need to be consistent with ensuring that all the machines work. For instance, today there were 4 flavors that were marked out of order and another said "very slow." They need to give the floors a really scrub, they're filthy and sticky. The only reason I eat here is because the frozen yogurt is prepackaged and they don't have to touch anything edible when hooking it to the machine. Lastly, it seems to be a high turnover rate in regards to staff. 99% of the time the staff are very pleasant and polite. Today, ehhhhhh not so much. She wasn't rude but you could tell she didn't want to be there. Lastly, please get the door fixed, it's been broken for well over 4 months now. I wish I had 50k sitting around because I would definitely buy it, great return on your investment at this location even in the wintertime.
