I stopped in after leaving my nail salon to try this place out. The concept of a quick facial package is great, but I'm not sure how it really differs from a traditional spa. The prices are just as high, and the experience isn't very private. The facial itself was excellent my esthetician was wonderful and I appreciated the idea of offering convenient services for women on the go. However, the pricing didn't feel worth it for the level of privacy and overall setup. If the costs were more reasonable, I would have continued services. I would still recommend giving it a try, especially if convenience is important, but many may find the prices and add-ons too expensive. read more

What a nightmare! Dr. Schimpf totally botched my surgery. He made the incision on the right side in the crease under my breast and then made it half way up on the left side. The scar is painful and it's been over a year ago I had surgery. I would give a negative star rating if I could. read more

I waited to write this review until I felt my healing process was complete, so that I could be fair in assessing my results. Unfortunately, I am extremely unhappy with the outcome, and to barely see any results after spending almost $18,000 is deeply disappointing. I originally saw Dr. Blum for a breast augmentation revision. My old implants had capsulated and leaked, so they needed to be removed and replaced. When I first met Dr. Blum, I felt confident that he could replace the implants and perform a lift. After surgery, however, there was barely a visible difference. When I pointed this out, Dr. Blum agreed, apologized, and redid the surgery. (One of the new implants had even leaked.) While I didn't have to pay for the second surgery, I was charged an additional $500 for anesthesia. I appreciated that he attempted to fix the mistake, and I gave him a second chance. After that, I discussed a much larger procedure with him: tummy tuck, muscle repair, liposuction, and a BBL (using the fat from lipo for transfer). Dr. Blum assured me that the results would be great, so I moved forward with the surgery, which is both very major and very painful. I kept reminding myself through recovery that the results would be worth it. At my post-op appointment, I raised concerns again. I told him I did not have the hourglass figure that was promised and that my sides looked lopsided and uneven. He told me it was "just swelling." On the day of surgery, as he marked me, he had also told me he would lipo the bra-line back fat. Later, he admitted he "forgot" to do that. He said if I wasn't happy with my BBL results (since you lose about half of the fat they place), he would do it then. Now that I am fully healed, my results are as follows: * Breasts: Scars are terrible from both surgeries opening up. I don't have enough lift to wear a regular bra, so I'm limited to sports bras. * BBL: Absolutely no difference from before surgery. * Tummy Tuck: Scar is terrible and also opened. * Lipo: My sides are uneven, the hourglass is barely noticeable, and I was left with weird spots where he didn't lipo properly. I now have to live with these bad results and figure out how to come up with more money to get everything fixed. I was told not to gain or lose too much weight because it would affect results, and I haven't. Still, this is what I'm left with. Again, I hope this review helps someone else so they don't end up flushing almost $18,000 down the toilet like I did. Please do your research and doctor shop before you make a decision. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery -- specifically Dr. Schrimph -- has been nothing short of traumatic, disappointing, and completely unacceptable. I underwent a brachioplasty here with the expectation of a professional standard of care and the improved appearance I was promised during my consultation. Instead, I was left with months of open wounds, pain, complications, and virtually no meaningful follow-up or concern from Dr. Schrimph. On my last in person visit, Dr. Schrimpf came into the office and did not even walk over to visibly look at my arms. Told me people with fair skin and light-colored eyes "tend to take longer to heal" however I have never experienced healing issues with other medical procedures. Despite contacting them repeatedly and returning for visits, the issues were brushed off, leaving me to deal with prolonged healing and avoidable suffering. I have photos showing my gaping wounds, inflammation, and areas that remained unhealed for months. And the end result? Sagging skin and highly visible scarring -- the exact opposite of what I was assured before surgery. I formally requested a full refund in writing, outlining the complications, lack of follow-up, and the unacceptable surgical results. That letter asked for a response within ten business days, and they didn't even bother to acknowledge it. No call, no email, no letter. Nothing. All I wanted was my money back. They show no regard for basic integrity. I entered this procedure with trust. I believed the expertise and assurances I was given. Instead, I was left physically and emotionally distressed with results that look worse than before, and I paid $9,550 for it. If you are considering a procedure at this clinic, I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. My experience was preventable, mishandled, and deeply disappointing, and no patient deserves this. BTW.... Dr. Schrimpf has since left Sweetgrass and per their customer email, "no longer practicing in the Charleston area". read more

I had high hopes for SweetGrass, but my experience has been disappointing. I've been waiting over a week for my GLP-1 prescription with no clear communication or timeline. Trying to reach either the office or the pharmacy has been extremely difficult. Calls and messages go unanswered, which is frustrating when you're paying for a medical service. The staff conducting the appointments came across as dismissive and judgmental rather than supportive. The overall tone felt uncaring, which is not what you expect in a healthcare setting. I do not think this office works well with heavier african American women. I do not recommend any one that's African American to go to this place and waste your money. I had a tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo of the outer thighs, lipo of the area around the bra line, and a breast lift at the end of June. I cannot recommend Dr. Blum enough! He is so patient and clear with his explanations and made me feel comfortable, even in a very vulnerable situation. I am a plus size girl and was worried about getting the surgery. I had 2 c-sections (13 and 17 years ago) and hated the apron belly. I decided that since I am turning 40 later this year that I wanted to finally get this done. From the very first consultation to the follow up after surgery and everything in-between, I have been nothing but happy. I am now 2 months out from surgery and I don't regret a single thing, even with the scars. Took $18000.00 of my money!!!!! And a year and a half of my live!!! I wouldn't take my dog there for surgery!!! He had a CT done on me, And had the nerve to show me the CT scan photo upside down and said that the vertebrae was the white area showing that the tummy tuck was intact! He said, " That there was nothing he could do because I had fat under the muscles." I'm an RN. I can read a CT scan. There is not fat around my organs!!! I had a tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and a BBL done at the same time. Which should never be done at the same time. But I did not know that. My abdominal incision while the tape was still on it had started to smell like rotten flesh I called the office and made an appointment immediately. I could not see the Doctor Who did my surgery. I had to see his PA. She said,"I've smelled worse." I told her it smells like a dead body. She sent me home. 6 days later, my entire incision fell open! The size of a cantaloupe opening on my abdomen. I was shocked, devastated and scared to death! I was told they are not wound specialist and that they do not close incisions that open. I am a former RN. I know what dead tissue smells like and I definitely know what infection smells like. So I insisted on seeing the doctor that did my surgery. The size of a cantaloupe opening on my stomach. My medical instructions at that point was to put iodine on the edges of the open wound and cover it with a nonstick gauze with a thin coating of triple an ointment. Everything was quickly going south. And as a former RN, I know that almost all surgical infections are from a bacteria introduced during surgery. Not something the patient did. But every visit he had a reason to blame the non-healing or anything else that was wrong on what I was doing. He told me you need to go see a wound doctor, I'm not a wound doctor! I spent almost 4 1/2 months getting the cantaloupe size opening to heal and close. And of course, because they did three procedures at one time. The BBL what is an excruciatingly painful, but I ended up with no results. Because I was told to sleep on my back. And the breast implants did not go without issues either. I still have issues till this day. With all three surgeries a year and a half later. Believe it or not, I'll let him talk me into him fixing what went wrong. Of course, not for free but at a discount ! Once I got the abdominal opening to heal. He scheduled surgery to remove the mouth looking scar on my stomach. He also did what he called round 3 BBL. But with the same instructions when I went home, sleep on back! Know, I'm seeing another plastic surgeon. To fix every last one of the screw ups, this doctor did. I had what I would call an unforeseen setback in the beginning and he worked me the entire time after hours and came in on a Sunday to see me. I was in tears and scared and he was calm, cool, collected and had me laughing and feeling better about everything by the time I left that Sunday morning. Since then, I have been able to follow up and have been assured that everything is as expected. I have been encouraged that if I'm ever in any doubt or have questions about anything at all, that I can ask freely. This is just my personal experience: Dr. Schimpf did not listen to me whatsoever. I initially came in for a breast implant replacement bc my old ones were rippling. He placed moderate profile 560 ccs. The left one rippled even more than before AND it just hung there like a floppy disk. My breasts have NEVER hung and I've breastfed 3 kids. Through text he admitted he "did more work on that side" but denies it today. Not only that, I ended up w severe capsular contracture on my right side. I could feel a pinched nerve immediately upon waking that I had to live with for 3 months. He blamed me for being too thin and also told me that I only bought the regular implants and not the cohesive ones which were more expensive. I would have TOTALLY bought the more expensive ones in the first place. Revision time: I somewhat still trusted him at this point so I figured if I needed a revision, I might as well also get an abdominoplasty since I planned to in the future anyways. Got the second set of implants and he still didn't give me what I wanted (high profile cohesive to fit my body. He gave moderate profile instead). We had discussed this extensively prior to the procedure. (Also have proof of this). My left breast still looks deformed and is missing quite a bit of muscle. This has affected my JOB. My abdomen has webbing around the hipbones and looks horrible and I had 3 openings in my incision which he didn't care about at all. He told me to "put a bandaid on them" even though I was allergic to them and I had to get help thru wound care. My stomach has a gap above the belly button beneath the skin which tells me my muscle repair failed. I am also uneven. I told him NO TO LIPO and he did it anyways. You guys sent me the pic of the blood filled (not fat filled canister) when I asked for pics of my surgery. What happened to informed consent?! One one post op visit he suggested more lipo (which I never asked for in the first place and that left me confused bc after the first bad breast aug, he said I was too thin so idk). I cannot believe all of the trauma I've had to go through in this last year because of this man. All the money I spent to feel confident is down the drain and I cover myself more now than I even used to. If you would like to see texts and pictures, please don't hesitate to message me. I will delete this review when someone contacts me about correcting their mistakes. I tried messaging dr. Schimpf and he ignores me now. How does one thank a Dr and his staff for giving your wife back her existence. After 5 years being free of breast cancer, my wife owes Dr Schimpf more than a thank you. He worked with her after surgery to this day on all aspects of her recovery. He is an expert with only his patient in mind. He actually listens to his patients and their family as to what their feelings are at a time when the world is closing around them. He cares, period. Not many Dr's out there today can get that nod. Dr Schimpf is warn and caring. For an individual looking to get through the most shocking period of their life and having someone who cares in every step of recovery, Dr Schimpf is the only one to go to. If you read my reviews, you know I've had more than my share of really BAD Botox experiences. I had about given up hope that anyone in this area actually knew how to inject it properly without me ending up with horrible after-effects. I decided to try one more time in the hopes someone could get it right and Lauren Lewis knocked it out of the park! I went to the Freshfield's Village location---it's a beautiful place--very serene, gorgeous decor and friendly front staff. I explained to Lauren my past experiences and how I was kind of apprehensive about getting Botox. She knew exactly what had caused my previous issues (injector error, too many units, etc). I felt very confident after she gave me my injections, but knew time would actually tell if I woke up with droopy eyes, dropped brow, sky-high eyebrows, you name it. I didn't sleep at all the first night just waiting for that horrible feeling of my eyelids drooping. Very pleased to wake up and see they were right where they should be. My forehead was already nice and smooth (my muscles take to Botox very quickly and I always know within 2-3 days if something is going to go sideways). Woke up on mornings 2 and 3 with NO crazy side effects and continued to have none--I couldn't believe I had FINALLY gotten good Botox after soooo many awful experiences! I cannot recommend Lauren enough--she is the ONLY one I will let give me injections from now on. She is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I went here for a consultation for liposuction. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. When I told the nurse what I wanted (lower abdomen), she kind of blew it off and said they'd do upper, lower, and flanks. I'm not sure if it's truly procedural or not, but she really wasn't listening to me at all. The doctor was perfectly nice but they seemed kind of insincere. As silly as that sounds, I felt like they were trying to crank us in and out with no emotion or care. I went to Sweetgrass to get lipo of the back, flanks and a tummy tuck. To my surprise, Dr. Schimpf, lipo my hips and made my butt smaller this was not discussed prior to surgery. I reach out to him in October of 2020 and have yet to get a call back about this issue. I would not recommend this doctor to African American women that do not want a buttocks and hips made smaller. It looks like Dr Schimpf took a saw and hacked me up! I had a tummy tuck that I wish I never got because I am disfigured and I am emotionally traumatized! He cut too high on the sides and the scar is uneven and jagged. He had to do a scar revision and he removed too much so now I've a indent between my pelvis and belly button. The belly button looked like a child had sewn it back on. He said he tightened my abdominal muscles but the muscles above my belly button protrude further than below my belly button. I first sent over a request from the online appointment request, detailing what my consultation request was. I did not receive a response. So I called to set up an appointment for the consultation. I never had the opportunity to speak to an "actual person". Many prompts later, I was able to leave a message. I left the message that I was trying to set up an appointment/consultation for a procedure. I left my phone number and also mentioned that I had made an online request as well. NO RESPONSE. I have since scheduled my procedure at another facility that actually answers the phone and returns calls. read more
