The other day we were visiting the Grove and had the munchies so we decided to give sweet green a try. Sweet green is another build your own health conscious chain. You pick your base which can be salad or a grain, we picked the wild rice. Then your topping and your choice of protein. Our bowl consisted of garlic steak, pickled onions, Basel, and cilantro. We also ordered their pesto sauce to top it off. I was really impressed with three things about our meal which were the quality, the quantity, and of course how well the flavors went together. 3 stars solely for how amazing the service was at this spot. I came here last night for a post workout healthy bite and was not expecting the line to be so long -- after waiting over 20 minutes in line I found out that no grains were available. After thinking on the spot, i decided to go with the Kale Caesar and chose their garlic steak as the protein. Now their steak looks phenomenal in photos; perfectly cooked grass-fed filet so I was extremely excited to try it out. Unfortunately, it did not meet expectations at all. The steak was extremely underwhelming, so much fat to it, and for some reason tasted fishy. I moved the steak to the side and ate the salad with no protein to it. The man at the front making my bowl was extremely helpful and sweet. You can tell they were very understaffed for the amount of people that showed up and handled it the best he could. I truly think their steak option is falsely advertised and they should do a better job making it similar to the photo they show on social media and on all their images. For a bowl that's almost $20 -- your best bet is to try another option or go somewhere near by that offers better more fresh options. read more

As of my latest attempt, I ordered a harvest bowl with chicken via the app for pick up. After I left and opened up, I had the surprise of NO CHICKEN. I mean this is basic stuff here as we move down the assembly line to create the bowl. I also ordered another harvest bowl, this one with double chicken. To my surprise, it barely had one serving to it. Not sure if they are trying to conserve on their protein portions but this is a reoccurring theme here. Was in the area and been wanting to try this place so I came here for lunch. I used the app for the first time and I was rewarded with a five dollar off for my first visit which was very nice. I ordered the hot honey chicken plate. It came with quinoa grilled chicken and roasted sweet potatoes and kale cabbage slaw. Overall I think the food was very good I ordered online and it came out when it was supposed to. I just think it's a little under portioned. This was my first time and I did not have high expectations considering it's a chain restaurant. The outdoor seating area is always a mess which is not a good first impression. My Crispy Rice Bowl was very tasty though. However, the prices are pretty steep. Two bowls for $30. Didn't dare to get a drink as they were all around $5 and the chips were an additional $3. I regret everything about it. This was a bleak experience for me, and the worst thing about it, is that for other patrons it was even worse. I have not witnessed such poor communication and service in a restaurant in a long time (if ever). They ran out of chicken at 1pm on a Sunday and if they would have just told guests that, I think it would have been fine. But instead they had about 10 people waiting for chicken that they just didn't have. The food itself is highly overrated too. And not because it's a $14 salad, that's the world we are live, laugh, loving in, folks. It was overrated because it's a really underwhelming $14 salad. The only good thing about this meal was the "ceviche dressing" Also please if you choose to go here and ignore all these red flags on Yelp, just pinky promise me you won't get the "slaw" in your bowl. This is by far my favorite lunch spot. I typically order from the this location in the grove but Coral gables is just as good. I love the staff, they are always friendly and efficient. There are a couple of locations. We will continue to come to this one because the other one was out of items the two times that we went. They are animal and kid friendly. The dog bowl and highchair gave us the clue. Lots of space to eat inside and out. Our daughter is vegan and raves about the bowls. We like the bread and dip in the sauces. Next time my husband and I will need to try the bowl with the chicken. I'd like to see more of a drink variety. They serve bottled teas, kombucha, sparkling water and water. One of my favorite spots in Miami. Sweetgreen is not some fancy restaurant but rather a place to grab a quick, clean, and tasty bite. I have visited all three locations (Coconut grove, Wynwood, and Coral Gables), and in each one you find decent indoor seating, and outdoor seating that is perfect to enjoy your meal (above what you expect for this kind of place). The ordering process is easy, you can pick from a one from the menu (10 options with some seasonal combinations) or build your own. And this is something that sets sweet green apart, usually this kind of restaurants barely offer pre built combinations and you are left on your own to build something. But most importantly the available ingredients and dressings are all fresh, tasty, varied - delicious. Additionally a plate will cost around 14, and portions are huge. All in all, if you want a quick but tasty bite, that feels clean and healthy Sweetgreen is an excellent option. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed. read more

So obsessed with the salad bar, it is so fresh and so delicious. I cannot get enough of their dressings. I need them to start bottling them and selling them because they completely make the salad. I love ordering from here. This location is super fast and always fresh, which is so important to me. They have lots of gray options and varieties and I really love their toppings. I'm very happy to have healthy-fast-food available in the Grove. The quality of food is good, the place is clean. Usually during the week near to lunch time is not too busy. I highly recommend to upload their app. I pre-order on the app before going there and then I park on the side (after you pass a parking garage). The parking to stay for a long time is not easy to find. Service is ok. There is a guy that he is very friendly and gentle. On the other side, there is a lady that she is not so attentive. The rice was hard as a rock and their dressings are way too tart and sour for my taste. I wanted to give a 5% tip which was 2$ ended up being 5.99 somehow for a total of 45$ for two bowls.
