This is a cozy little place for Chinese HK style desserts (mango, grass jelly, pomelo, strawberries, topped by ice cream or a ton of other combos, eggettes and MUCH more ). Basic savories like fries, onion rings, curry fish balls are also on the menu. - good too. Extremely popular and always busy, but fast friendly service once seated. But it gets crowded here fast especially after 9pm on weekends! You get a tablet where you scroll through the humongous menu. My recent favorites include: Y10 - Yuzu Yogurt Parfait from their parfait series. It's the perfect healthy-ish treat for me here. I love the crunchy rice bits in it and the fresh chunks of grapefruit and strawberries with the yogurt and yuzu. V7 - Toddy Palm & Vanilla Frost - Excellent! I love the icy texture of the frozen ice cream in contrast to the soft Toddy Palm seeds. Again, the dessert menu is so huge here, you are bound to find something for almost every taste.. Pro tip: Shop or browse at the Ross clothing store next door while u wait! Lol! Verdict: Yup.. this is a regular stop for us!

I'm sitting here chuckling to myself; a picture I posted years ago reminded me that the only other time I came to Sweethoney, I ordered the same drink I had this most recent visit -- an iced Purple Yam Sago Milk. I'm nothing if not predictable. Slightly earthy & not sweet enough, which I usually like, but this needs a skosh more sugar. Perusing the massive menu of Asian desserts is a daunting chore to tackle. Aside from my drink, I had their Mango Pancake which comes two to an order & is not a pancake in the traditional sense. Wrapped in a thin crepe is way too much whipped cream & a too-small piece of mango. It looks like a yellow brick, & if you consume the entire thing, it'll feel like one in your stomach, too. Close-together tables. Two servers -- one lovely, one not. I'm in no rush to return.

Great place for Asian desserts. Extensive menu, free lot parking, good amount of seating, friendly staff. I would say this place is better than Golden Island but I also haven't been there in years. I really enjoyed the order I got with grass jelly, mango, chewy taro balls, and snow/milk. Watermelon sago was nice and refreshing. Mango sago was alright (probably much tastier when the mangoes are in season). They use fresh honey/ataulfo mango.

I was close to giving Sweethoney 2-3 stars because over the years, I have seen how their portions shrunk and quality decreased (hard sago, mushy glutinous balls and icy mango desserts). From using actual bowls and utensils to shrunkened portions using smaller take out containers after the pandemic. I kept forgetting to post my review so here I am with the latest update. I typically doordash from Sweethoney, but I forget how small their containers have gotten and I regret wasting money instantly. Recently, I have seen a change in their togo containers and it is now the appropriate size for the pricing. I even dined in a couple times recently and not only did the quality improve, so did their portions. No more small take out containers anymore! I love their vanilla frost with mangoes and black glutinous rice and a scoop of matcha ice cream and their mango sago pomelo! Recently ordered their watermelon ice with tofu pudding and that was good as well.

Came back to try the Y1. Purple Duet Y1.紫色雙重奏 $8.71 and sadly this one was not as good. I ordered it cold but it was like room temperature. I think there's supposed to be some kind of taro in here but didn't taste very much. It's mostly purple rice clumps, coconut milk and tapioca. Meh

First time here for some snacks and dessert. The Thai curry fish balls were yummy, had a good kick! I would get those again. The coconut milk sago came cold and was good. I asked at the end of my meal if can come hot and they said you can request it. Wish it was offered cold or hot when I first ordered but now I know for next time. The chocolate filled eggettes were crispy. The chocolate was a little overly sweet and bitter for my taste. But I'll definitely get the other eggettes next time. Overall, will come back to try more desserts hot now that I know you can request it. Especially since hot Chinese desserts are hard to find!

Sweethoney has always been a comfortable classic to me and the default spot to grab a sweet treat while catching up with friends! I came recently with a friend and it felt like old times. The menu was on a tablet and it was helpful that each item included a picture so you can preview what you can order. Their mango pancake is one of my favorites but I decided to try their mango coco tofu pudding this time. I'm a huge mango lover so anything on their mango lovers series always hits the spot! It wasn't too sweet and the mango was refreshing.

Sweet honey has been around in Colma for quite some years and always a good staple here for a nice dessert hangout. They have unique drinks that are Chinese-themed (not boba) and many other traditional desserts + snacks. Seating is a little tight inside to expect a wait during rush. Good thing is tho, that they are open during public holidays! Have always had great service here as well. My only complaint would be the price being a bit high, but there's also a lack of similar options nearby. Always happen to come here a couple times a year though

Sweethoney is one of our go to dessert places! I love their Mango Coco Tofu Pudding (but only when mangoes are in season)! Their Twins Snow Mountain Grass Jelly is another great one! When I am craving for something hot, their Sesame Paste, Tofu Pudding, and Almond series never disappoint! Their menu is so extensive, I haven't had the chance to try everything that they offer. I always stick to same few desserts that I know because it is just that delicious! This time around, they changed their bowls and plates! The service never disappoints either!

One of the few places I know of to get peach gum and snow fungus soup. What a sweet dessert treat that is also very healing and medicinal. I've tried some of the sagos and they were ok. I love their black sesame glutinous rice balls! They are warm and a great balance of sweet and savory. The place is well lit, spacious, and there is soft music playing so it's not overstimulating like some other dessert spots. Service is great - upon walking in was greeted with eye contact, and seated. The order came quickly too.

After dinner the entire family headed to this place. We tried a lot of the items in the menu and brought home some. Everything was delish! Service was a bit slow. There were only two attendants for the entire place doing all and the place was packed. Place was cute and smells really great. It had this scent from the entrance that smells like a spa. read more

such a cute dessert joint! im like 99% sure i had sweethoney before when it had a location in the LA area, so i was pleasantly surprised to see its existence here in the bay! my party and i ordered one of their grass jellys with mango. the icey blend was sooo milky and im pretty sure it's a blend with half n half creamer. the taro and sweet potato mochis were also pleasant chew. the dine in experience is seating first, then given a tablet menu, then the server will take your order on their tablet! LOL also i do have to say the dessert menu was extensive, had so many different choices. definitely something for everyone! read more

這家店關門時間算晚，不過因為開在Daly City，整體環境給人一種陰冷的感覺，倒是很適合吃點熱食和甜點。我特別喜歡他們的咖哩魚蛋、雞翅、魷魚圈和芝麻湯圓，最後再來一份芒果木瓜水果盤，剛好是一套完美的搭配。價格也很合理，並不算貴。整體來說我還是挺推薦這家店的，只是店面比較小，如果人多的話可能需要排隊。 The store stays open fairly late, but since it's located in Daly City, the overall vibe feels quite chilly, which actually makes it a nice spot for enjoying warm food and desserts. I especially like their curry fish balls, chicken wings, calamari rings, and sesame rice balls. Finishing with a mango and papaya fruit plate makes the meal feel complete. The prices are quite reasonable and not too expensive. I still recommend this place, though the shop is a bit small, so if it's busy, you might have to wait in line. read more

I usually get the sesame and tofu but today I went with something slightly sweeter the sesame and almond soup with sesame balls. I see they have also added a lot more to then menu since last I've been here. Will be back soon to try out new items. Great service also. read more

Sweet honey is great and I love coming here for Asian desserts. It's typically really busy here but service is very quick and so is the turnaround time. My go to item here is the mango crepe. It consists of a ripe mango in the center encased by a delicious fluffy cream which is wrapped by a thing delicious crepe. I love how it is not too sweet and very satisfying to eat each bite. Their durian vanilla ice is also one of my favorites here. Durian is an acquired taste so if you have never had it, just be aware it has a pungent smell but it is creamy and sweet. Sweet honey is a great spot for late night desserts. read more

I came here on a weekend with my whole family, 16 people total, and the service was amazing. They didn't get anything wrong and the staff were super helpful. I would 100% come back here. My family all ordered different parts of the menu and not one person complained. The place itself is a little small so my family took up about 6 tables so just keep that in mind if you have a big party with you! read more

I've been DYING to come here forever! Finally, I've made it! Stepping inside is such a nostalgia as it's a perfect spot to call your friends up for late night rendezvous minus the booze and bad decisions! It's decorated artfully and invite you with its cozy vibe to share snacks and laughters. Once you're seated, you'll be given a kindle that contains digital menu. They got TONS of options from savory to sweets. It bounds to have something everyone likes on the menu. This is your typical Asian Snack dessert spot with hot tea, Taiwanese music, and good food. Their desserts ranges from your typical Red bean soup , grass jelly with many topping options, mango sago to variety of boba. Savory side of the menu includes curry fish balls, tea eggs, curly fries and so much more! Prices starts $8 and above for their dishes. Seatings : you'll have to wait to be seated. Though the inside isn't too big, they're crafty about table arrangements and can comfortably fit 5+ tables without feeling cramp. 5/5 stars for their space planner Service: I like the kiosk out front for to go orders. This makes it easier to direct traffic by using front as a dedicated spot for online order. It means to go folks don't loiter around eating up the space inside as they wait for food . Now, as a dine in diner, I'd give the service 10:10. They're busy but they're fast and accurate with bringing the orders. 10/10 would recommend. Can't wait to return again read more

I got the Mango Snow with Herbal Grass Jelly. It was super refreshing, not too sweet, and really hit the spot, definitely satisfied the sweet tooth without feeling heavy. The store ambiance was packed, lively and the wait time was a bit long. There is a water refill station, but when I checked, it was out of water and cups. The tray return counter was also overflowing, which was kind of chaotic. Despite that, the dessert itself made up for it. I'd definitely come back for the mango snow, just maybe not during peak hours. read more

Not sure what is going on but their vanilla snow frost has been extremely watery and completely melted whenever I order it. This is the second time that it's completely watery. This is unacceptable, it's supposed to be a frost not liquid milk. Very disappointed in their quality control. read more

If you love desserts or mango or both, definitely come and try this place. First the menu is so extensive. Pages and pages of delicious desserts. The place has many tables but you may still have to wait a bit before being seated. I had the mango sago drink and the sesame rice balls. Everything was so good. The mangoes were very fresh and as a matter of fact you can see the many boxes of fresh mangoes sitting at the counter to prepare all these mango desserts! read more

I tried the Snow White at Sweet Honey Dessert and it was honestly the highlight of my visit. The texture is incredibly light and fluffy--almost like eating sweet, chilled clouds. The fresh fruit adds just the right amount of brightness, and the sweetness level is perfect: not heavy, not artificial, just refreshing and satisfying. Presentation was beautiful, portion size was generous, and it came out quickly even though the shop was busy. A Saturday afternoon visit around 3:00pm-bright, clean dining area with relaxing music playing softly in the background. We were one of a handful of tables dining in. Server greeted us immediately. Service was friendly and professional. Deserts were delicious -we had the K10: Grass jelly, mango, and coconut drink plus, L14: Sesame milk pudding (cold). This place is so yummy i have had the Mango Jelly dessert which is my favorite and never disappoints, they also have the to-go bags made to keep desserts at cold temperatures which is great because i always take it to go, the place is very nice although is seems to always be busy so keep in mind you might have to wait for a table. Nice spot for traditional Chinese desserts. Note that often Chinese desserts are less sweet than other types of desserts. They give you a tablet when seated to place your order. We ordered their Mango Pomelo Sago Grass Jelly and the Purple Yam Snow. Both were good and refreshing but slightly less sweet than I was craving. The snow had less sweetness than typical flavored snow I had at other places. Good on a hot day for sure. Plenty of seating but a bit cramped spacing. Maybe they get super busy at times? read more

I love Asian desserts and this was my fix. It is on the slightly cheaper side of desserts which is nice. They have so much options - sometimes it is overwhelming on what to order. The service is limited, they'll give you the menu and give you minimal check ins. They maximize space and have a good amount of seating and there is ample amount of parking. It's a good spot to go to for late night munchies as they close at 12am! It's quite rare for post COVID times. There's always a decent amount of people inside. read more

Can't believe it's taken us over 2 years of living nearby before finally stopping by. The plaza Sweethoney is located in isn't too busy, but Sweethoney is always busy... and for good reason! Their desserts hit that perfect amount of Asian sweetness, and they have a great variety from fruity desserts to classic ones like sweet tofu, red bean and grass jelly. This part of town has added many great additions! There's SweetHoney, Tasty Pot, and many new businesses popping up at the Serramonte Center. SweetHoney specializes in Hong Kong dessert. There's definitely nothing here before in this part of town. You would either have to go to San Francisco where the desserts have many options but their quality is not the best. Or, you may venture to San Mateo. Now, it's conveniently tucked away in Colma near Home Depot, Old Navy, Ross, etc. In many visits, on weeknights, there's a large group of people waiting for their food - during dinner time and later at night. The only time I've not seen a line is probably around 5 pm. In the beginning, it was quite interesting to try various desserts - ice cream, ice, hot dessert, etc. For late afternoons, there's a few snack items. It wasn't great, but we were hungry. I hope they will add more additions for drinks and snacks! Hope someone from the business is reading this! Later on, we stopped coming. Although there are plenty of options, there's only a few items that I would eat and it's getting slightly boring. I don't typically have a sweet tooth. Not what I expected. All the dessert are most likely Asian based. The menu had the flavors listed but the description is very limited. I think most are yogurt based blended with fruits and ice creams. I ordered the only thing I somewhat recognized, mango pancake and it was good and light. It was mango topped with whip cream wrapped with something. The other was mango with green tea ice cream and sago. It was also good. I'm not sure if I'd come back unless I'm adventurous and try another different dessert. The mango pancake was good but nothing i'd come back for specifically. Although allot of people are ordering it. The price was also on the expensive side. The total for both desserts was over $15. Not sure if that's worth it. They do give you free green tea. read more

We can see that they are busy serving food and packing to go orders. But I think refilling drink for customers can totally boost their tips. The food are amazing! Not too sweet so I feel less guilty. We heard there was a long line for this place so we came early around 4:30PM and luckily there was no line. There are a lot of asian desserts in the bay area but I was quite satisfied with what I had. I got the grass jelly coconut sago. Sago was soft, grass jelly was firm and the coconut juice was not too sweet. I usually do not eat a lot of desserts or sweets but this was definitely a good choice.
