The scone and the egg were probably the only decent things in the entire meal but neither one stood out above average. Overall I would not recommend this place very highly nor do I plan on returning. The fact our waitress was very nice and genuinely a happy person goes a long way....yes we tipped her generously. Today I had the breakfast wrap, filled with eggs, bacon, cheese and hash browns. There was the right amount of everything in it....zero complaints. The flavor hit all the right notes and I enjoyed it. It came with fresh fruit that was actually cut today; that was nice. The Chef's Tasting consists of several preset amuse-bouches, with your choice of main and dessert. The thing that Hearth seems to be known for is their unique combinations of ingredients, tastes and textures, all leveraging their signature olive oils (which are available for purchase). It was fun trying all of the combos, most of which were delicious! I did get the short rib for my entree and unfortunately it was dry. The roasted vegetables were aplenty and tasty so I was glad to have had a substantial meal despite not eating much of the short rib. I mentioned it to the server and she shared that they had switched vendors recently and that it was different than their typical short rib. Hoping they switch back! The meal ended with dessert, and the honey/almond/white chocolate/blueberry sorbet I selected was decadent and yummy. All in all, I enjoyed my experience. The service was fantastic and we were treated to complimentary baked goodies to take home. My friend shared that their tasting menu changes seasonally and that all of the various dishes have been unique and delicious. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Ogden!
