I was looking for a local Cincinnati bakery for my aunt 60th birthday party! The cake was very delicious! I would've preferred to have actual ladybug, decals on the cake and not plastic rings. Which made the cake look cheap. But overall it was simple and cute and tasted very good!!

She's rude and takes no accountability for the ugly cupcakes as a result of poor packaging! Ouch My niece's graduation party was dampened by the lack of accountability for thes ugly cupcakes

OMG LIFESAVERRR!! I needed a cake next day for a graduation and LaDawn pullledddd thruuu!! And made it look sooo perfecttt! I love it! I also had asked for a soccer ball cake a month ago for a birthday and I loveddd that one too. Exactly what I asked for. If you're looking for any kind of cake made in Cincinnati please only go to LaDawn. So talented and professional.

Sweets by LaDawn made us the most delicious cake! I highly recommend the almond cake with raspberry filling. It was moist and traveled well. Check out her shop in Deer Park/Silverton for your special occasion cake, cupcakes, cake pops and other treats as well. A local gem with very fair pricing.

The owner of this place left a barrage of messages on my husband's phone, mad dialing him every minute over and over. She was apparently trying to deliver an edible bouquet his coworkers sent him. However, neither of us were available to receive it since he was in SURGERY for FIVE HOURS. We didn't even know it was coming. This is my first experience with this place, and hopefully, my last.

Sweets by LaDawn was a HUGE hit at our event! We've been getting RAVE reviews! She was so accommodating on short notice after a struggle with a few other vendors. She delivered directly to the brewery on a Sunday and set it all up perfectly! She saved us so much stress! 10/10! Thanks so much, LaDawn!

Beautifully decorated cupcakes and cake pops!

I haven't had the privilege of trying this place out personally, but I've had cupcakes and cake pops delivered to my granddaughters twice now during COVID. Both times the kids (and adults) loved them. Seems like a wonderful place, with beautifully decorated goodies. I'm so happy I can send such special treats to my little loves all the way from the west coast. Thank you, everything has been perfect during both deliveries!

LaDawn Spivery has always loved baking, since her first loaf of cornbread as a child to her famous Italian Cream Cake which inspired her to start her own business. She's cooked in Louisiana for most of her life, but brought her baked goodness back to Cincinnati following Hurricane Katrina; I'm glad we have her here! LaDawn creates a variety of sheet cakes for any occasion. The cream frosting is so decadent on top of the fluffy, soft cakes, you'll want to try every variety. She even has fillings for her cakes, each injected with a delightful flavor from raspberry, banana cream, peanut butter cream to Oreo filling. Frostings range from white chocolate cream cheese to chocolate ganache; customers have their choice of five. I sampled several tastes of LaDawn's cakes at a bridal show, and was amazed. Definitely in the top tier of cake makers in Cincinnati! LaDawn can create any custom style of sheet cake too: from risque bachelorette themes, to elegant bridal styles, to birthday cakes with miniature fondant people. Her pastries are a treat for both the eyes and appetite! Sheet cakes average around $2.00 per slice, with a 12-serving cake costing $21.00 up to a 100-serving cake at $130.00.

LaDawn made our wedding cake, and it was beautiful and absolutely delicious! I would recommend her cakes for any occasion. Plus, it was affordable!

I had seen the sign for Golden Hands and decided that's where we would go! It did NOT disappoint! The kids went for the normal glazed (but twist not a circle donut!) and vanilla with sprinkles. I wanted to try one of the many others. I tried something different so I sprung for the strawberry with banana cream. I'm not a huge banana fan but oh my goodness this was amazing! The service was impeccable. I love supporting small businesses. It's definitely got a warmth and charm that is missing from the big box places. I cannot wait to come back again!

This place doesn't disappoint - there is so much to choose from and the options rotate daily ! I personally love the blueberry fritters - They are huge and layers of blueberry yet they are only 3 bucks (that's so cheap). The strawberry cheese pastry was also delicious and flaky. The only thing I ordered that I wasn't a huge fan of was the pretzel - it was big and the price was right but it didn't taste better than a wawa pretzel twist. The donuts also come warm since the case seems to be a warming case which is a nice touch. The workers are so nice and they will explain every flavor to you if needed since there are no labels. The place is small and so is the parking lot.

Overall it was a bit overfilled so it was very messy and hard to eat. I could have done without the hidden coconut shavings inside. KIMCHI & EGG CROISSANT 5 I had this one for breakfast. I warmed it in my air fryer for 6 minutes on 330 so it didn't overcook. The croissant was flaky and delicious, and the kimchi added good flavor without being spicy. I would have liked to see a little more mozzarella but overall it was tasty! SOBACHA CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIE 4 Also tasty, oversized cookie. Soft and chewy texture. CINNAMON ALMOND BLUEBERRY TOAST (THURSDAY/FRIDAY ONLY) 5.25 Very good. The cinnamon filling reminded me of a brown sugar pop tart. I warmed it in my air fryer and it was perfect. Would order again. It is loaded with pecans, sticky in the best way, and easily one of the best in the city. When they're on, they're really on. One thing I noticed was that the setup could use a little refinement. With both coffee and bakery items coming from the same counter, the line gets congested fast and the shop is quite small. A separate line for coffee and tea offerings - they have a bunch - and pastries would make the experience smoother and match the quality of what they're serving. They do offer vegan options, which I personally have no interest in, but just an fyi. Overall, they deliver excellent pastries and has the potential to be even better with a few small tweaks to the flow and menu variety.
