I got the Horchata cheesecake, tropical green tea, passion, pineapple, tea, and the sweet Thai milk tea everything was amazing. I do feel that the Thai tea could have a bit stronger flavor, but everything else was so good. The horchata cheesecake was very sweet and so flavorful. I highly recommend the homemade cheesecakes and cookies. Plus, the owner gave us great service. I thought the Christmas tree was pretty so I took a picture in front of it. read more

Unbelievable service and just the most incredible cheesecakes my wife and I have had in a long time! We were so happy to discover this place on our last trip to LA and will make it a routine to come back every visit. As if the cheesecakes and desserts weren't enough, Matt (the owner) was beyond accommodating and just the most wonderful person to meet. My wife and I told him that if he ever decides to leave LA and move to Las Vegas, please please please open a place in the South West part of the city lol. Maybe one day haha. Love love love this place. Only went there twice and by the third time the owner recognized me. On top of the owner's unmatched customer service (the first thing you notice as soon as you get your drink) its a nice spot to just chill with your friends. They have board games and tables. Also the drinks are fire. I'm typically not a fan of boba but I always get the slush ones and they're addicting. read more

A great new boba and dessert shop at Fairfax and Santa Monica! I got the non-dairy Thai tea with boba, which was great. Also got two cookies -- chocolate chip and red velvet. Both were good, but definitely go with the red velvet. The service was great. You order from a kiosk, but the person serving was very friendly. It has an open-air concept that has all the doors open. It was perfectly fine in December, but it will be even better in the summer months. read more

Decadent desserts dished out by the chef himself in a unique space... not on my bingo card for favorite new business in West Hollywood but the creativity and that cookies and cream cheesecake won me over! I love the idea of small businesses taking over vacant spaces throughout the city and this one is really inspired. Open 12pm to 12am at the corner of Fairfax and Santa Monica with lots of tables and board games in case you want to hang out!? This is the kind of spot we need around here if you ask me. The cheesecake and the coconut flan were bomb, definitely coming back. read more

This place is great! We tried a few of the desserts, my favorite was the flan. My daughter enjoyed the mango cheesecake. We also ordered a couple of drinks that were perfection. My dear friend E recommended this place, proclaiming they serve the BEST boba in the city. We grew up together in Japan so I trust her judgement when she says the drinks and desserts are "sweet but not sweet" and we made a plan to meet up for a quick (not quick) snack break. It was a but noisy since the store is on a corner of a busy intersection but thankfully not crowded at the time we went. We were able to catch up after not seeing each other in person for several years, and yes, the boba tapioca was perfectly not too sweet and the texture...not chewy, not gummy, not undercooked...it was an absolute treat! We also tried (inhaled) the Horchata cheesecake, and sampled the taro and the matcha azuki cheesecakes but we were too full to finish them. The texture of the cheesecake is light, not as dense as a typical NY cheesecake, but heavier than Japanese "rare" cheesecake. We will come back the next time we're in LA! Also a great spot for people watching... it definitely gave us LA vibes :) read more

After shopping at Whole Foods we decided to stop here for a quick treat and I was disappointed to see that they had kiosks instead of cashiers. I suppose that's the direction the world is going but as a small business you'd think they'd prefer people over self-checkout. I also didn't like that you can't see any of the pastries except for the photos they have on the kiosk menu. A big part of ordering is seeing the items in front of you so I felt like this took away from craving something. My son enjoyed his tea very much as well as playing Connect 4 so I will say that it was nice to sit al fresco with a drink and play games. I would order from here again but I just wish it was more inviting and personable because from afar you can't really tell what this place is or sells unless you look it up. read more

What a fantastic gem. The arch-type of your friendly neighborhood sweet stop. The boba/bubble tea is fantastic. And the desserts (WOW!) I took a creme brûlée cheesecake to a party and it was everything anyone could talk about. There is a small parking lot mid-block on Fairfax Ave which you can pop in to order and pick up all the ambrosia! While the convenience and quality is stellar, really what brings me back here every time is the owner, Matt. He is so genuine, respectful and welcoming. After a few visits, he would recognize me and stop to talk to me and show a genuine interest in his customer. It took me back to the walks home after school and popping in to the neighborhood candy shop owned by ma and pa, such a warm and welcoming vibe which harbors a sense of community. But Matt does it all by himself! I have been coming here for a little over a year, it is consistent every time. I hope you get to try it and I hope it stays here for a long time. read more

Desserts and drinks were delicious! We had the coconut flan and taro cheesecake and the flan was velvety and simply melted in your mouth! A must try! The service was incredible, they showed such quality and care from the first hello greeting when we walked in trying to figure out what to order on the kiosk. There is convenient free parking in the back side of building. Definitely will be back to try the peanut butter chocolate cheesecake and bread pudding! read more

First time coming to this place and I didn't realize that you could scroll down for more options on the boba tea until I saw someone else do it. I let the gentleman who was working know and that I actually wanted to add boba and he was so sweet and said no problem! When my order came out I was surprised and excited to see that the boba tea was bigger than what you get at other places. The sweetness and ice was perfect and exactly what I clicked on. The flan seems pricey when you see it on the menu for $8, but when you get it the size makes you realize that it's well worth it! Super happy I came here today and will definitely be returning! Raul had amazing customer service! The cheesecakes were light and fluffy. Such a random spot but definitely worth checking out. You order at a virtual register and then they call your name out a window for pick up. Not too many places to sit-- but when there's a will there's a way! Sweets talk is a very chill, inviting, and yummy dessert place. At first it doesn't look like anyone is working but that's just because it's a low pressure environment where you can order through a giant ipad. I found this place on Yelp when I searched up desserts and realized this place was new. For starters, the 2 staff working there were extremely nice and helpful. I wish I got their names so I could give them a shoutout but it was 2 Latino guys. I went with some of their recommendations. 1. Key lime tart: This was good, I just wanted a stronger lime taste 2. Apple tart: Solid, I think anyone would enjoy this 3. Horchata Cheeseshake: This was sooo good! My favorite thing and this one was recommended by the staff. 4. Lychee strawberry green tea: I don't really like lychee but it was recommended and I was curious to try it, I also had my partner with me so if I didn't like it I could just give it to him. It was pretty good, the green tea taste was great and not burnt. BONUS!!! The workers gave us 2 complimentary warm cookies that were sooooo good! Thank you! So nice of y'all. Also the place is super cute and I definitely would say worth a try. My bad for not taking pictures, I was grabbing the items to go and was just ready to try them. read more

Love love love Sweets Talk! Anytime I'm craving a sweet treat (see: most days) I make the short walk over to this delicious late night spot. What first hooked me was the default non-dairy milk tea and boba. Big portions and super tasty with really fresh boba! But what really keeps me coming back are the desserts. These aren't your average grocery store cakes. Truly every single dessert I've tried has been spectacular! My personal favorites are the white chocolate raspberry bread pudding and Oreo cheesecake. But you really can't go wrong. The owner is incredibly kind, speedy and thoughtful. He recognizes me every time! Keep giving him your business, this neighborhood needs to keep its late night sweet treat fix around forever. read more

You always know when you meet someone who genuinely cares about their work and loves what they do. Matt exemplifies that perfectly; he was very attentive and extremely kind even close to closing time. The Apple pie tart was amazing, we really liked how the apples were sliced thinly and the flavors were balanced perfectly! My new favorite spot for boba! Something about the honey green tea here makes me so so happy. It's perfectly steeped and not overly sweetened. I also have tried the house milk tea and I loved it. The ordering was done via kiosks, which was convenient, and the drinks came out super fast. Green Thai Tea: Not My Favorite I got the green Thai tea, and honestly, I didn't like it that much. It wasn't really sweet at all, which was disappointing, especially considering the prices. The sizes were quite large, though, which is a plus if you're looking for a big drink. Giving It Another Shot Next time, I'll probably try the desserts and other drinks to give this place a fair shot. We liked it so much we came back the next day. We got 2 banana lattes and 2 açaí bowls. They remembered us, and even generously comped a bowl. It was refreshing, thanks again!
