My eldest daughter got her coffee from Chamberlain Coffee. I wanted to get my tea drink from Chagee Modern Tea House. Both located at Westfield Century City Mall. WOW, one of the busiest spots at the mall! Atmosphere was a bit congested with so many people sitting and standing around. It was hard for me to picture this place in its quiet and peaceful space. They have special merchandise and tea for purchase. Extremely long line all the way out the front door. Once we got closer up to the counter, it went swiftly. Since it was our first time at Chagee, I asked the young gentleman for his recommendations. He suggested Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte was one of their most popular drinks so that's what I got. Thank you young man! My daughter wanted to try the Chagee DayDream Frozen Blended so that's what she got. I know she already got coffee, but there's always room for more. I was surprised the prices were so very reasonable. I thought their prices would be higher based on their high end tea name brand. Another WOW, I was impressed with the unique and exquisite flavor of the tea in my drink. It was quite delightful and addicting to say the least. I loved it! My daughter loved her blended drink, too. A+ for both! Here is the not so WOW part... wait time was a bit long due to the busyness. Also I asked for a bag to store both drinks. The young lady said sure. She opened the pretty designed blue bag and handed it to me. I was shocked by her behavior... such lack of service IMHO. I would have expected her to place my drinks in the bag. I guess not. I bagged them myself. All good. Hence, minus 1 star! Thanks Chagee for staying true to your well crafted tea creations at very reasonable prices! But please work on your customer service. The full tea experience deserves excellent service first and amazing teas second.

Be aware that if you are trying to be good on time for parking, coming here might take at least 30 minutes!!! There was a big line for us when we got here, but I knew I wanted to have Chagee again. I don't have Chagee often and so I was excited to get my go-to drink from here. I always get the peach oolong milk tea iced. The straws are very narrow, but it doesn't stop me from sipping away the drink super quickly!!! I always love how the tea base tastes with their flavoring. The iced tea always tastes very smooth overall. Anyways, my only complaint is I wish that this branch didn't fall behind on orders? Because parking here once you pass the free hour is not cheap unless you're willing to pay money. You can also order online through app, which I ended up doing because the line to order took so long. Even with an online order though, the estimated time was 30 minutes. Hoping they improve with that. Plenty of tables and seats outside. Very crowded inside due to the line. Workers don't really give customer service. They're just there to prepare your drinks and leave it on the counter.

There's so much hype about this tea place when it first came out, and I never got the chance to try it. I'm not a fan of driving for an hour and I'm waiting in line for anything. I'm finally here at the mall and saw this side to try this tea place, the tea is decent nothing really special, it's similar to Molly Tea or hey tea, they all have similar taste to it in my opinion.

In China, I was a once-a-day Chagee fanatic because I really loved how fragrant their teas are along with the variety of unique teas available. They had flavors like melon tea, rice-scented tea, and various types of oolong, red, black, and green teas. I was so excited when Chagee opened up and started expanding in LA. I finally stopped by while at the Century City mall, and the inside of the shop is very similar to the ones in China. Modern with classic tea house elements, easy app ordering, and a screen showing how many orders they're working on and which orders are ready for pickup. Staff were generally friendly. Sadly, Chagee got Americanized whether due to market popularity or logistics with getting certain teas in the US, couldn't tell ya. They have 1 of each type of tea: jasmine, oolong, black, Ceylon. You can add milk or add lemon lol. The teas are great and very fragrant--I don't know what determines what kind of cup an iced tea or tea latte comes in (their standard Chagee cup or a ridiculously large plastic cup, maybe 20oz)--the regular cups with the triple straw is the best. The big cups make me feel like I'm glugging half a gallon of milk.

Just like the other Chagee locations I visited, ordering was quick and easy. I used their app, placed my order and within minutes, I received a notification that my order was ready for pick up. The store was extremely busy the day we went so there was a little bit of longer wait for our order to be ready. I always order the Iced Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte - it's my favorite! Specifically the large size with less sugar and whole milk. I've tried their other teas (which are also delicious) but enjoy this one the most! I love the rich tea flavor. International Tea Day was May 21, 2026, and every large Boya came with two complimentary jasmine green tea sachets too! It was a nice bonus! If you haven't tried Chagee yet, you have to!

I finally tried CHAGEE after seeing it on Instagram and hearing how popular it is in China. I used their app to place a mobile order, which was very convenient given the long lines at the mall, and I even received a 15% discount. I ordered the Peach Oolong Lemon Tea, which was very refreshing. My boyfriend had the Ceylon Black Tea Latte, though I found it to be a bit watered down, and our friend tried the Boya Tea Latte. Overall, I highly recommend using the mobile app to order if you decide to go!

I'm not really a tea person but wanted to try them out as I heard the wait times were crazy long. I kept it simple and ordered the Peach oolong pure tea [hot] - it was fruity and good roasted oolong taste. I didn't try any of their milk teas which seem to be more of their signature drinks. The quality is there and if you happen to be shopping here at the mall and the wait isn't too bad, give them a try.

I'm a tea freak. I don't drink coffee and I was feeling a little indecisive walking around the mall because there are SO MANY options. This mall has changed dramatically from when I used to ride my bike here from UCLA. Im pretty sure this used to be a Barnes & Noble which I would frequent all the time back in the day. The line was long for CHAGEE, but I had time to kill as I was waiting to meet someone. Was REALLY impressed with the amount of detail and love they put into everything from their drinks to decor. They don't accept cash and everyone was really nice, even the people waiting for their orders. My indecisiveness was starting to kick in again because there were so many thirst quenching options. I decided on the Peach oolong pure tea sweetened and the gentle employee working behind the counter said to not worry because it won't be too sweet. She was right! Just the perfect amount and they even have different types of straws which I thought was neat. I would be here all the time if I lived in the area. Definitely worth the wait.

this is my second time coming to chagee, and i'm so glad i gave it another chance! the first time i came, i ordered one of their brewed teas and honestly wasn't the biggest fan. but this time i came with my little sister, and we shared the daydream specialty, and it was sooo good. we both have a huge sweet tooth, so this drink was definitely more our style. if anything, i'd probably lower the sweetness next time since it already has caramel and can get pretty sweet, but i'm so happy i finally found a drink here that i genuinely love. the workers were all really sweet, the music made the shop feel cozy, and the overall vibe was just so nice. now i totally get why everyone loves chagee, and i'll definitely be back

I've been to CHAGEE Modern Tea House a few times & have always been happy with my experience. Y'all that waited in several hour lines when it opened are wild! I could never! However now that the shop has been open nearly a year, the lines are manageable. It's literally taken this long for the hype to die down a bit! CHAGEE is great and all of Los Angeles was trying to get their drinks for awhile there. There are still lines but they move fast from what I could see. Ya girl is bougie and I don't do lines so I'm all up on the online ordering. It makes coming to the Tea House super easy and fast. They have indoor and outdoor seating so whatever your heart desires, you can sit in that area. They only have two umbrellas outside though so be sure to put on your sunscreen. I've done the pure black tea and their tea lattes - enjoyed them all! With CHAGEE being right at Century City Mall, I know I'll be back to try more. I really want to try frappes and baked good still!

This place is known for their boya tea latte so I ended getting that to try! The flavors were okay it's more milky than I expected, I wanted more of the jasmine tea flavor to come through. Also if you're looking for boba balls this place is not it (which is fine). They are focused mainly on the tea taste and quality. The straws were unique and helped me enjoy the tea more. The downside was the seating and waiting. They had a lot of workers but it seems to take a really long time for your drink to be made. It is pretty loud in there and fills with people. I just felt cramped when I was inside. The bags they gave us were really cute though!

    Karen L.

Like others said, I think that Molly Tea is better. My fiancé thought his peach tea was quite watered down. My citrus matcha teafresher wasn't very well balanced, with the matcha not standing out and a very strong citrus flavor that overpowered the drink. A pass for me.

    Ashley C.

Overall, pleasantly surprised. I paid $14 for two drinks. The staff were nice and I'd come back. I liked the chagee specific straws. Also, the place itself has seating and is very pretty. Roasted oolong tea latte: Strong tea flavor with a slight bitterness, but in a good way. It's not overpowering and not too sweet. Peach oolong tea latte: Slight artificial peach taste with a mildly bitter aftertaste. I liked it, but my friend not so much. I enjoyed the simplicity of the drinks. I wanna say it might not be for everyone? Honestly, give it a try. Their drink aren't anything crazy, so I can't see anyone disliking it to the extreme.

Incredibly lovely, would get again Cream top matcha: also quite good. Surprisingly did have a distinct matcha profile, and wasn't overpowered by the oat milk we subbed in. Very creamy and I liked it a lot as well for its earthy undertones. Neither of the two drinks featured too much ice, nor too little, which id also like to highlight. In terms of service, the person who helped us at the cashier was not friendly and offered a demeanor that you wouldn't typically prefer from coffee shops, but the lady who got us our drinks was very nice and made sure that our drinks were correct, the milks were accurate, and that we got all the other small items that we needed.
