I got an 8 oz. jar of the Summit Trail Mix, which I really liked! It's not too salty and the dried fruits complimented the almonds so well. Enjoyed it so much that I kinda wish I opted for the bigger jar. Also, on top of the already steep price, there's a $3 bottle deposit. Since it was my first time here, the cashier let me know that you can get your deposit back if you bring the bottles/jars back to the store. After making my trail mix purchase, I got the strawberry glaze smoothie. My smoothie was ready pretty quickly. I'm not a big strawberry-flavor lover, but I really enjoyed this smoothie. It was the perfect refreshing drink for hot weather and walking around. I also felt very fitting and pretentious taking sips of my smoothie while strolling around Melrose. After a Jiu Jitsu session, this was the perfect way to recover as it was refreshing and I felt the recovery happening as I was getting restored primarily from the coconut water and acai. I highly recommend the Melrose Special and adding acai if you want extra superpowers from this exotic fruit! I also bought the CBD sparkling water, cold brew, and Oregon spring water. I'm definitely looking forward to visiting Melrose Place again to try all the other drinks.

The smoothies were some of the best I've had in LA -- incredibly fresh, balanced, and flavorful. We tried the Tony Special, the Melrose Special, and the Coconut Cardamom, and each one was fantastic in its own way. What made the experience even better was the service. Vahe, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He made us feel right at home and clearly takes pride in what he serves, giving us a few free samples of his favorite items! We also had wheatgrass shots for our friend Nando's mother, who is visiting Los Angeles from Portugal for the first time -- and it was such a fun, memorable experience for her.
