Poor service. I got a red bean shaved ice and by the time I got to my car it was already melting. The ice cream was the wrong flavor and also half gone. I have never had a shaved ice drink melt this fast. The employees didn't even acknowledge us when we walked in, I had to ask for a spoon, and they were very unfriendly. I had a very frustrating experience at this boba shop. The staff was argumentative when I raised a concern about my drink, which made the situation uncomfortable right away. Instead of handling the issue professionally, they looked around and hesitated about who should remake my drink, as if it was a burden. That kind of response is completely unacceptable. Customer service should be respectful and efficient, especially when correcting a mistake. I won't be returning after this experience. I asked for a refund and the receipt is subtotal of $0. Which doesn't make any sense and the cashier had an attitude when I was already speaking with the manager. No coordination of how to handle a small mistake of a drink. My sister brought me home a red bean shaved ice from It's Boba Time and let me just say--so good! It was packed to the top (literally had to dump it in a bowl), but I'm not mad about it. Super generous portion. The ice was still nice and cold when I got it, and the whole thing reminded me of Filipino halo-halo. I'm a big fan of red beans, and this one had the perfect combo--red beans, fresh fruit, condensed milk... just a really light and tasty dessert overall. Can't speak for the service since I didn't go myself, but I love how they packaged everything for my sister to bring it home. I believe I've been to their Irvine location before, but this was my first time at this (newly opened) location. There were only two workers and when me and my two friends got there, the store was relatively empty. The dude that was taking the orders seemed exasperated and just exhausted in general, but I've worked in the food industry before and I know how taxing late-night shifts can be, so giving him some grace for that. He still took our orders and got them out as soon as possible so definitely grateful for that. The drinks themselves were pretty great. They have so much variety, and they even have a top 20 fan favorites, which is helpful when you're undecided and don't know what to try. I'm Very disappointed in the service and safety they provide. I ordered a drink that was delivered. I got the drink and when I sat down to drink it, I poked the straw to the top of the lid. What I thought was Boba was actually plastic residue from the lid . I called the store and they were very aware of the situation and said it was a manufacturing issue yet they still sold it . I also called corporate and they are also aware of the issue and said they were gonna reach out to the manufacturer to correct it. After I reached out to corporate, they told me to reach out to the store because it was a franchise so I did. I didn't get sick or had to go to the emergency department but I did feel something wasn't right in my throat ... I emailed them over five times. No response got no response. I called the store multiple times asking me for the owner leaving a message. Still no response. at this point now I'm leaving a review because they obviously don't care about any safety regulations, and knowing that there was a defective product and still sold it to me is horrendous criminal and a disgusting way to run a business. They also have other add ons that you can swap for traditional tapioca pearls like coconut lychee jelly and mango popping boba.
