Just because someone hires a contractor doesn't mean they don't understand how to do a job and how…read morelong a job should take. Our experience Hukills was terrible. Something that should have taken no longer than three weeks has gone well over three months. Not sure why it's taking long since they routinely send out two guys to do the same job after each tiny portion of work is done incorrectly by first crew. They sent guys to do a flooring and didn't order enough materials - utter incompetence.. Had guys try to start work that wasn't approved due to lack of progress on first portion of the project. Lack of communication was inexcusable- expecting us to remain on standby in case they show up to work for a few hours, then not showing up at all. Lack of respect all around. Our doors were left open while they worked in our home and it ended up full of flies twice. They failed to secure our residence when leaving the home. They never laid paper down nor wore construction booties to protect our living space, so they tracked dust and mess everywhere. Came home to construction noise only, then had workers think it was okay to playing music and singing along. Had doors labeled "do not enter" and workers opened doors and entered rooms anyway. They left our lights on and we asked them to make sure they are turned off. They turned on extra lights and continue to leave them on each time. They worked here. When they would book an appointment to review their work and have things fixed that were still wrong, they never showed up on time. Their lack of professionalism, lack of common courtesy, utter disregard for customer private spaces and home sanctity is mind boggling. I don't recommend this company at all.

1. It took them a year to rebuild our thousand-foot square home after a fire. A whole year…read more Sometimes 2 or 3 weeks would go by before anybody would work on the house. 2. After about 8 or 9 years we began to notice that the foundation was moving, and that the flooring was moving away from the walls, that's when *I went to the county to see who had inspected the foundation. It turns out they did not have the foundation inspected, they didn't even pull permits.* 3. They rushed us back into the home after exactly a year, because the insurance company was not going to pay for us to stay in hotel rooms or temporary housing longer than a year. The outside of the house wasn't caulked, there's trim missing in some places, etc. 4. Certificate of Completion (or Certificate of Substantial Completion) was never produced or signed. 5. I have made contact with the company and tried to solve this issue with the floor. They have refused to make good. Avoid these people like the plague. Even if the insurance company recommends them. They will off take any job thrown at them which results in them spreading themselves so then they are unable to finish the work in a timely manner. Everything is rushed, steps are skipped for speed and convenience. Caveat Emptor

JTM came out to do the remediation and I am still so impressed with this company! They sat down with me to explain in detail what had to happen, how long it would likely take, explained best and worst case outcomes, reviewed costs with me and helped me understand the insurance processing. They even handled the insurance claim for me. Throughout the process, Jordan and Tamara, the owners, were timely and considerate, always understanding of my weird work schedule at the hospital (thank you soooo much for that!), tidy and neat with the materials that they had to remove from the property, and respectful and kind. Their employees were also considerate and thoughtful, and as difficult as it was to have a houseful of strangers in and out of my house for a week, I couldn't have asked for kinder, more respectful people to come in and do such a thorough job. They tolerated my tears, my frustration with all the noise of the drying machines, and patiently answered every question I had even though I know they were so busy after all the fires we had in Sept. I will DEFINITELY be calling on them when I start with voluntary (smile) remodeling, because they are perfectionists, they are fair, and they aren't happy unless their customer is happy. They left the wires completely exposed and on the floor where anyone could have touched them. I saw the wires and thought they were dead, thinking no one would be insane enough to leave live wires out. My kids or pets could have easily touched them.
