My best friend and I love to grab lunch together, but me living in Clarksville and her living in Nashville makes it difficult to get together on busy weekdays. We decided to meet halfway today and stopped into Sweezey's for the first time. LOVED it! Our server Addison was very kind and knew the menu very well. She was attentive, quick and friendly! I love the selection of local drafts (I got a Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale), and the white cheddar bacon dip is amazing! The sausage and pepper sandwich was yummy, but the rueben was delicious. Every time I go to Swezey's, I have to get the Steak Philly and tater tots. I travel a lot and have to say that they have the best Steak Philly type sandwich that I have ever had. Wow! I avoided this place for months after it opened because of the crowd and noise......BUT.... This Friday I made it in right before the dinner rush and have no regrets. We were seated quickly and politely. The live band was just getting warmed up. They have a decent happy hour which we took advantage of, but didn't overdo it. I had a scrumptious Boston Butt sandwich with loaded tots. The sandwich was decent but I gravitated towards crispy tater tots with some type of white sauce, cheese, and chives. The wife had a good Philly cheese steak with some home grown version of Mexican street corn that had a Cajun flare. It was savory. Sorry, but Jon Taffer would not be pleased. Nothing was clean, the table had something all over it, there were wrappers, crayon and food left on the second layer of the table/pallet we ate on. My daughter's high chair I wiped down with several baby wipes and it was disgustingly dirty and the bottom of the high chair had at least three years worth of dust on it... when I went to change her diaper in the ladies room I decided it was better to change her in the front seat of our car, even though she is way too big to do that. The food wasn't great and the service was lacking. The drink special they overcharged us on. I would highly not recommend. read more

So I've been eating here for awhile now, it's a great local business and they have amazing sandwiches! I always get the Philly cheesesteak; the amount of meat on their sandwiches is very generous, and the ingredients are always fresh. Fries are yummy and you can get them seasoned; I always get Cajun but I really want to try the old bay. And the street corn will have you craving it often. The ambience here is great so if you have the time, sit at the bar or a booth and enjoy your food with one of their many options of drinks. Great customer service also! Came here on my first day at my new job. It was a working lunch and I was trying to eat healthy. I ordered the spinach salad, while my coworker and manager got the Cobb salad and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich looked amazing. My salad was a little disappointing. First, I assumed it came with a protein. It did not; which is fine and my fault. Second, the onions were very overpowering. All in all, it was decent. We had the make your own burger and kielbasa sub. The bread is delicious, moist, and soft, but for us they were oversized for the meats. Sweet potato fries were very crisp and flavored with cinnamon. Had high hopes after reading the reviews. We stopped on a Sunday afternoon during a little road trip out of Nashville. Place is in an unexpected cool development between Joelton and Clarksville. It was busy (another good sign). Got seated in a shades outdoors area but quickly became overwhelmed by flies. We moved inside and saw plenty of folks waiting on food (always a bad sign). Menu is a kittle too ambitious which no doubt slows down food delivery. It did in our case. Food we received was mixed. Decent Philly cheesesteak (light on cheese) and burger (juicy but weird gray look). Where it all fell apart were the fresh cut fries. They were room temp, limp, undercooked and greasy. Bleh. Waitress said they'd be replaced. They never were. Place appeared to have plenty of help but definitely some problems in the kitchen. I'd give it another shot, maybe on a different day or night along with a different side. Can't mess up the fries. A fundamental no-no in a sports bar / pub concept. read more

We love coming to Swezey's. While we have probably tried all of the sandwiches on the menu, I strongly recommend the Boston Butt or the Spicy Ginger Chicken (my go to and it is not really spicy). I am from New England and their Grilled Polish Kielbasa sandwich reminds me of home. They also offer Cajun fries or Old Bay fries as one of their many sides. Ask for the jalapeño ranch dipping sauce. You will not be disappointed! The downsides would be that they have live music on some days and while the music is awesome it can get extremely loud in there especially as they play awesome live music on the bar side. If you don't like the noise don't go to Swezey's and don't let them sit you by the speakers on the live music side lol. The service is good but can be slow and busier nights. Probably just a sign of the times everywhere with people looking for help. If you're looking to cut some calories, their salad options are good. I do wish they would offer a vegetable medley or a steamed broccoli as a side but hey I'm not coming to lose weight. Overall the best sandwiches in Cheatham County and probably Middle Tennessee. read more

The tables are all handcrafted from palletts with Swezey's burnt into them. Very cool. The menu is diverse. We started with the bruschetta which was awesome. Avoided this place for awhile now. It just seemed too trendy with a menu that didn't excite me. However, my daughter was interested in applying for a job there and we decided to check it out. Reviews had been consistently good so I assumed it would be a nice Sunday brunch spot. We walked in and it seemed kind of loud, but not too over the top. It's seat yourself and our drink order was right away. Still too early for a cocktail for me but the selection looked good and the bar is pretty. It's easy to see what beer they offer. My daughter ordered nachos and onion rings and I ordered the philly cheese steak per the great reviews. The menu warned us that nachos were a 12-15 minute wait. It was worth every penny we paid and every minute we waited. First, they brought out enough food to feed us 3 days. Whoops, remember that next time- there WILL be a next time. Then the nachos would have over fed both of us for 2 meals. They were very very good, my daughter has served at every Mexican restaurant within 8 miles and those were the best nachos around. They were not soggy like they are everywhere else, crispy right down to the bottom, lots of toppings and sauces served with it too. The onion rings are the best I've had, better than Bobby's dairy dip even- shocking! The dip was addictive too, I felt like licking the container clean but my daughter would have been horrified. The cheese steak.... wow- I didn't even know I liked cheese steak. It starts with the freshest bread I've ever had in a restaurant, I read they get it fresh daily from clarksville. The meat was piled high with fresh peppers, onions, mushrooms. I know there was cheese but I lost it in there. With all this food we brought most home- it all held up well to reheating. While it cost just over $30.00, we way over ordered and I thought it was inexpensive for the amount and quality of the food.
