Well, after the warm weather last week we realized we weren't going to survive the summer with no AC. We called around a few different companies and ended up hiring Hammer's Heating and Air Conditioning to install an AC unit and hook it up to our existing furnace and central ducting. The owner Mike Hammer quoted us a very reasonable price, then came out today and did the entire job himself in a matter of hours, including installing a new smart thermostat and testing the whole system to make sure everything works. We now have a super efficient, slim Trane unit and are prepared for whatever weather gets thrown at us!

I spent the rest of the day and most of the next day calling various AC contractors, trying to get someone to look at my system, with no availability for 2 days. When I contacted Kevin, he responded in half an hour and asked if he could come "now." He had identified the failed part (capacitor) in about 2 minutes of looking at the system and went and got the part and had it installed in less than an hour from when he arrived at my house.

Since he was also recommended to me by a neighbor, I went with him for the install and have no regrets. The price was more than reasonable for the amount of work (replacing two furnaces and AC units with central heat pumps).
