I had a furnace that was left in poor shape from a previous owner. It never turned on when the weather was cold. Turned out that the furnace was so old that there was some bad repairs in the past. Someone had attempted to wire in a switch to enable the blowers instead of having the thermostat control it. Said came by as recommended by my property insurance group and took a look at it. He eventually figured out the manual switch and recommended replacement of the entire unit. I went for a few days on the old furnace before realizing what a hassle it is to be turning the blower on and off in the middle of the night. We agreed on a full replacement but I also requested an AC unit be put in. He came by a few times to discuss the plan with me. Originally I wanted a heat pump and we discussed the work and cost. Since the home already had central heating ducts, an ac furnace combo would be the easiest solution since the AC can be connected to the furnace which is connected to the ducts. Originally we planned on going into the attic to attach the cooling lines but after removing the furnace, there was a clear path from the crawl space. This made the work significantly cleaner since we could go through the vents from the crawl space instead of through stucco walls. Overall, his team worked fast and kept me in the loop every step of the way. He even set up a Google Nest which now allows me to control HVAC through my phone. read more

I can't say enough about Said. I've used Said a handful of time and each time he is reliable, efficient and honest. This recent job I had him install a split AC unit in my master bedroom, as it stays so hot in that room. I don't want to run the entire house AC just to cool the bedroom. Said (the owner of this awesome company) was able to fit us in his schedule the same day! Sadly, as I suspected, the 30 year old AC had died (RIP). He offered a couple of options in his estimate. It's been a problem for years. I've been told to replace the entire furnace a few times. I'm obstinate. It's a 20 year old Trane. Said Aichour diagnosed the problem immediately. A corroded flame sensor. He fixed it in 5 minutes. The furnace now ignites 100%. Ready for the winter. east bay heating and cooling was assigned by my home warranty company. i waited 3 days after the work order was created and still had not heard from east bay heating & cooling so i called myself. he said he was going to be able to come that day (thursday) but i was not avail and asked if monday would work, he told me to call him on sunday to make an appt. sunday i called and no answer. i called monday morning and he said he had a job in pittsburg and could swing by in the afternoon. he arrived and left in less than 10mins. he added freon to our ac unit and told us to replace the filter. when he left we went straight to home depot to buy a filter. the next day i had the ac on auto (set to 79) all day and the same thing was happening, the temp inside was still rising by 2p it was at 83. i called said back to let him know and he referred me back to my home warranty since im "their customer, not his" and he needs auth to come back out. i called home warranty and they recalled the completed work order and assigned it back to east bay heating & cooling. my husband calls (weds) said to set up another appt to come back out and he said he was really busy for the rest of the week and to call him on sunday so he can come out monday, my husband asked if he works 4th of july so said said TUES. sunday came, no call from said. we waited til tues morning to call him and he said he was too busy to do it tues and he would be here weds between 9a-12p. i cleared my schedule to make sure i was home and avail during that time frame, no call and no said! almost 2p my husband calls and asks if hes still coming out and gave a bogus excuse about their system being down and not being able to see/schedule appts. & he would TRY to come out thurs or friday. how were the other customers getting their work done if his system was down? i ended up texting him asking for a more specific time since we do have a life and schedules to work with or if we were too much of a nuisance to him to let us know so we can contact home warranty for another service provider. he texted back giving me the same excuse and said he would transfer the work back to home warranty. if you did not want to do the work, you could have just told us right away instead of wasting everyones time. 0 stars if i could. This is a follow-up to my first review after meeting Said. I first met Said after a prior contractor sent from my home warranty totally dropped the ball-that is another story. Said came to my house personally did the inspection and also found that the heating/blower unit in my house was the original from when my house was built and also needed to be replaced. He submitted all recommendations and the warranty company approved. I could always reach Said if I had any questions - not once did I ever have to wait. And professional, the man wrote the book on being a professional in business. The new AC and Heating system came in and he assigned his crew to be at my house. They were on time, very polite and respectful of our home both inside and outside. The work was done in a manner you just don't see today. After the work was done Said came back out and inspected everything which really impressed me, as he had worked all day and made the drive to put the final touch on the work. I wish the home warrant company had sent East Bay Heating and Cooling from the start and I would have had everything installed so much faster than being given the run around and ignored from the original contractor.
