Totally agree with Ryan R.! I purchased new headlights for my BMW from Swift Audio on Nov 27, 2013. $800 installed. While watching them install the lights, you get the feeling like you are the parent and they are a couple of little kids that you have to watch to make sure things are done 100%. After they installed the new lights, I noticed a big gap between the lights and the front bumper. They said that's how it was to begin with. So I looked at the old lights and sure enough, they forgot to take off trim pieces that cover the gap. I pointed this out and then they fixed it. Hmmmm.... Now to the light adjustment. Tried for a week to adjust the lights because everyone was flashing me. Of course Ben's comment was "yeah I get flashed all the time too, its part of having HID lights". NOT SO BEN! I brought the car back in after insisting they do something and Ben's sidekick Ryan Bruce went with me after dark to adjust them. Kudos on that part. I kept bringing up the issue with the dim angel eyes and of course, I got the "that's how they are supposed to be" talk from Ben. Jump ahead a few weeks and now the lights "bounce" every time I hit a bump in the road. Remember these were $800 lights and they have failed miserably within 70 days. The angel eyes are completely not visible during even a cloudy day. I thought all the bulbs burned out in them. You have to turn the lights on and off and look for the variation to even tell they are on. Ryan's response" when we had it in our garage, we could see them". Sorry, but I don' drive my car in your garage all day. I drive it on roads outdoors. Jeez! Now after they looked at the lights "again" Ryan told me that "Ben said there's nothing else we can do. We already spent a lot of time on them and we aren't spending any more". Then he starts throwing the warranty issue in my face. Hey, I've asked since day one, if the fixes don't work, what are you going to do about them. Never got an answer. They just keep telling you they will take care of things until the warranty runs out (but they don't tell you how long the warranty is for until after the fact) and then they say "sorry, nothing we can do about it". This is what you get dealing with a very young business owner. There is a definite pattern with Ben Swift of not taking your complaints seriously and just brushing off your concerns. I have filed a BBB complaint. Ben Swift is apparently out of town at the moment so we will see how he handles this when he gets back. I have asked for a return of my $800 so I can purchase lights elsewhere and he can have his pieces of crap back. Small claims court is next on the list. My advise.......Stay away from Swift Audio......if you must buy there, pay with a credit card so you can reverse charges when they don't stand behind their product, and also get a written copy of warranty (good luck with that one!) read more

Stay away from Ben "not so" Swift! I gave these guys two easy jobs. On the first, they were too lazy and/or incompetent to remove my dashboard and left wire exposed. On the second job, a simple deck and speaker install, the deck had a gap around the trim ring and the rear deck was not fastened down. They admitted it was poor work quality, but wanted me to pay to fix their mistake. These guys are unprofessional with their stupid rap music playing in the shop so I cannot even take my kids into their office. They have no idea how to treat customers. Sure, being the only car audio shop within 40 miles gives you certain advantages, but my recommendation is to drive the extra miles for quality workmanship and service. These guys are a joke. I called 4 times to get an appointment for an install of a complete stereo system. Twice I talked to two different men about doing my job but it was never scheduled in 3 months time. I finally just dropped the vehicle off at Kurtz in Traverse City and they completed the work in two days. I wouldn't waste my time with these buffoons again. read more
