    This will be my last Yelp review of 2023. I will not be writing anymore Yelp reviews until next year. For me and my family's Christmas gifts, I purchased new iPhones. In order for all of us to get the full dollar amount for trading in our old iPhones, our old phones needed to work and they couldn't have major cracks or damages. 3 of the 4 phones met this criteria, but my son's phone was all jacked up. This was the result of my son not utilizing the phone cover we purchased for him. Due to my son's negligence, he was going to have to pay to repair the large crack on the back of his phone. Swift Repairs repaired my son's phone for a reasonable price, in an expeditious manner, and they provided quality customer service. Swift Repairs is located in North County San Diego area, specifically in the Carmel Mountain San Diego confines. To get to the cellphone repair shop, take the 15 freeway, exit off of Carmel Mountain Road, head west, and make a left on Penasquitos Drive. It's located within the outdoor shopping center that also contains 24 Hour Fitness, Jack in the Box, and Evans Tire. Swift Repairs is close to a 7-11, next to a dentist, and next to a spa. As you enter the store, it's clean, there's distressed laminate flooring on the ground, and they sell cellphone accessories. Before deciding to bring my son's cellphone to Swift Repairs, I called around to several cellphone repair shops in the surrounding areas. Swift Repairs provided the most reasonable estimate to repair the large crack on my son's phone. It cost us just under $130. When I called the shop, I really appreciated the friendliness of the employee on the phone call and his customer service. When I actually dropped off the phone, the person I spoke to was as friendly in person. I dropped off the phone on a Saturday and it was ready on the next day. Loved the expediency and their handiwork in repairing the phone. If you have a cellphone that needs to be repaired, I highly recommend you bring the phone to Swift Repairs. The price is reasonable, they're fast, and you'll appreciate their quality customer service.

    I brought my mini Windows PC in to see Leo. After asking several questions he gave me a few simple instructions and gave my PC back. Went home, followed his instructions, and problems solved! Three minute conversation and no charge! THANKS, LEO!

It went from 94% to 70% in less than an hour! I went back the next day, and his mannerism was abysmal. He told me, that's a new battery, must be a problem with your phone processor. I didn't want to risk trying another "un-original" phone battery through him and asked for a refund instead. He begrudgingly refunded $40, minus $5 for service fee. As I was leaving his kiosk, he blurted, "And don't come back." Like why? It was unwarranted, he could've just said nothing and let it be. Of course I wouldn't come back after such an experience. So I left, not only with a faulty battery, but also upset by his rude mannerism. The guy was angry at me for his own faulty product. And then gave me attitude for it... ;( Anyways, lesson learned to not go cheap. Went to Apple Store later that day, they ran diagnostics. Everything is fine with my phone. New battery ($69), and surprise surprise. It works just fine! I would advise anyone to avoid this place -- it's not worth the risk, nor the time and frustration, and overall horrendous customer service.

I returned to the store and, based on a recommendation from a store associate, exchanged it for a different charger. Unfortunately, the replacement charger was also defective. When I returned to the store to request a refund, I was informed that I was beyond the 14-day return window and could only receive a store gift card. Given that this was already the second defective product, I found this policy unreasonable but agreed to proceed reluctantly. However, I was then told that I would only receive approximately half of the original purchase amount. I paid nearly $20 and was refunded only $9. This outcome is unacceptable. Retaining half the value of a product, especially when both the original and replacement items were defective, raises serious concerns about fairness and consumer protection. I have never encountered a return policy that penalizes customers in this manner when proof of purchase is clearly provided. Additionally, I was disappointed by the level of customer service I received from the manager on duty. Her demeanor was dismissive and lacked the professionalism and care expected in a customer-facing role, particularly on a day such as Mother's Day when many customers are already managing busy schedules. I strongly urge corporate leadership to review and revise this policy, as it undermines customer trust and reflects poorly on the company's commitment to quality and service. I also recommend additional training for management staff to ensure that customer concerns are handled with the appropriate level of respect and professionalism. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.
