Alex is a lifesaver! I had a brand new LG Washtower installed by Howard's Appliances and the longest 4 prong dryer power cord they had was 6 ft and too short to reach to my 220 V outlet. I was left to my own devices to find a long enough cord (thank you Amazon overnight shipping) and to find a technician to complete the install since Howard's could not install a non-Howard's part. After calling several electricians and appliance repair people who either would not be able to come by or did not handle this unique type of request, I finally landed on Swiftec services on Yelp. Alex answered on my first call and I explained to him what the request/issue was. To make sure he understood what was needed, he stopped by 2 hours later (on a Friday evening) to look at what I needed done. He said it would be easy and that he could come back the next morning after the part I ordered arrived. Sure enough he came by the next morning, and installed the cord, finally giving me use of my brand new dryer!! He also checked the rest of the hoses and vent to make sure they were installed properly, and made sure the unit was positioned correctly in the laundry closet so that it had enough room behind it for the hoses and also enough room for the laundry closet door to shut without hitting the unit. He even gave me maintenance tips on the unit! I am so glad I found Alex. If I ever have future appliance needs, he will be the person I call. read more

First of all, I messaged Alex for a quote because he had good reviews and a verified license and he responded within a minute or two! I chose Alex's company Swiftec because he took the time and was kind enough to suggest I do some things to troubleshoot the problem before he even suggested coming out. He quoted me a fair, flat rate price which was reasonable for coming out on short notice in a Saturday. Alex sent technician Roman who arrived within hours of my call to assess why my oven was not working because the building crew did not finish installing it properly. It was raining, and Roman took care to take off his shoes so he didn't track mud in the house. He was polite and friendly and was able to identify the installation problem immediately. It was a quick fix, so he also helped me fix a couple of small honey-do items in my house at no extra charge, and gave me recommendations on what brand of washer and dryer are most reliable in his experience, since I will be purchasing in the near future. I felt safe knowing this company is licensed, especially because the oven was gas powered and it's a brand new house.
