He raised his voice, repeatedly demanded we "confirm the address," told her to "hurry up," and even asked if she was "hard of hearing." The entire interaction is recorded on our Ring camera. With the number of fraudulent "service workers" involved in home invasions, families are on high alert.. and rightfully so. In a household ready to protect themselves, aggressive behavior like this puts everyone at risk, including your own employees. Confusion about an entrance does not justify intimidation. Horrific people. Tech shows up and gives us a quote to replace a heater switch on our dishwasher for $550... a $15 part he will give us for a mere $215. I own a Samsung refrigerator with a water filter. The filter has become very difficult to replace with a new filter. Finally I got a professional to insert the new filter for me. I contacted DNE and explained that there was nothing that needed repair but the filter was very difficult to screw into the filter holder. I was quoted $95.00 to do this. The repairman came and screwed it in in approximately 2 minutes. He then told me. His boss told him that once he got here to increase the charge to $130. instead of the $95.00. I consider this "bait and switch". I'm a single woman and was alone. I complained but it made no difference and it seemed safer not to make an issue. I would never use this company again. read more

DNE Appliance Repair went beyond my expectations. David is always so prompt to respond to appointment requests and cancellations. They were especially patient with me when I had to cancel and reschedule several times. They tried to fix my refrigerator several times by ordering different parts and when it was discovered that it wasn't fixable, they didn't charge me for the additional parts and appointments. Bait and switch. Gave no estimate, for a washing machine repair, we were told $85 service charge would be waived if we proceed with repairs, it wasn't. Then he said bill was $265. After questioning him he said "$200 only for my good repeat customer", we had never used them. Our GE Cafe refrigerator stopped refrigerating over the weekend. Late Monday I contacted DNE who assured me that they would have a repairman here the next morning between 9-12. I was happily surprised when Mike texted me at 9 that he was 20 minutes away! He told me DNE prioritized refrigerator calls to help customers save their refrigerated (or frozen) food good! SCAM. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I have a Maytag dryer. The knob to set the timer has a price of plastic broken and so it doesn't engage. (See pics) . Firstly the technician comes out and I show him the price and what's wrong with it. No diagnostics needed. He charges me 100 dollars to come. He says I'll quote you later. (I know now why they don't quote on the spot). He sends me a quote for 403 dollars. An absolute joke. I'm sure some people fall for this. I go to various appliance outlets and inquire with specialists. Home depot /Lowes etc. they tell me that I'm being ripped off. To pay more than 50% of a new dryer to fix a small issue like this is ridiculous and it's really sad to see that people are out there taking advantage of consumers. Clarity of service and I will leave a review about how upset I was with them. I even challenged the charge. The latch on my washing machine lid broke. I knew that was all that needed to be fixed. They were very responsive and came out right away, which was good, however, when I set up the appointment, I spoke to someone on the phone explaining I knew exactly what was broken and the cost of the $95 diagnostic. I wanted to make sure it would go towards doing a service on the washing machine. That included, you know, cleaning out the pipes doing routine maintenance, and things like that which I was assured on the phone that I could do that. They came out and looked at the latch and told me it was gonna be $375 almost 400 bucks. Which is more than half the cost of the machine itself. I went online and I looked at the part which I ordered on Amazon. It cost $20 and I replaced it myself. Before the guy left, I clarified it once again that the $95 would be used to service the machine if I fixed it myself. When I called him back to schedule the service and utilize the cost of the visit, they told me they could not do that and that I had misunderstood them and that they had done this diagnostic work and that was the cost. The good diagnostic work was a visual inspection that I made myself which was the stupid latch was broken and they wanted me to replace the entire locking mechanism which was not needed. The machine is now working fine since I did the $20 fix. I do not recommend them. They do not put this in writing and I was very upset with the back-and-forth with the gentleman who I spoke with this is why they get a one star review and the way they can improve is one asked upfront if the $95 fee can be used towards something else they did not give me the correct information or clarify. I would never have called them or have them come out. Had I known they were gonna scam me out of almost $100. Again, do not recommend. read more

BEWARE, SCAM, DISHONEST, WARNING!!! I have a Maytag clothes dryer that was not getting hot. The DNE tech came out and said that the ignitor needed to be replaced. This conversation was between my wife and the tech. Agreed to replace the ignitor which took exactly 21 minutes from when he started to being finished. He gave an invoice for over $350.00. I checked on Amazon and the part was between $20 and $30 dollars. I was charged $100.00 for a part that was available for one fifth of that. The labor FOR 21 MINUTES WAS $250.00. I called to complain that this was outrageous, but just a stone wall. Please refrain from using this company, and this review is your WARNING! LOOK AT ALL OF THE ONE STAR REVIEWS!! I just read the comments from DNE regarding the above. They took advantage of my wife who did not research the part costs. DNE claims that the part is factory, and the $100.00 was their cost. I state they are liars unless they can post a receipt from the supply vendor for a charge to DNE of $100.00. My wife did not realize that the labor was going to be over $250.00 for a repair that took 21 mins. Every business has costs such as rent, insurance, etc; however, outrageous labor costs is a scam. They have a mandatory $95.00 just to come to the house, to be credited to any repair. HOWEVER, if you do not accept their repair, and have them do nothing you are charged the $95.00 for just coming out. These guys are rip offs, and should be out of business. True to his word he repaired the unit and returned to install it.
