I wanted to sit at the bar because of the aquarium bar top and view. They don't take reservations so we went on a weekday around open. We drove up just before open and it's such a huge property we arrived at the restaurant just a little after. The hostesses were the only compliant I have. They didn't seem happy to be there and I didn't feel a sliver of hospitality from them. They didn't walk us over just said to go on through despite never having been here before. Nina was AWESOME! She was so pleasant and informative. She got excited for everything we ordered and talked about the history of each item and why they were good choices. I got the skinny pina colada. My husband and I shared and I'd say we split it pretty 50/50. According to my husband, it is the best drink he's ever had. My favorite drink back home also has the Malibu rum but ohh I couldn't drank more of these! Nina raved about how while there is alcohol you also get the benefits of coconut water and the fresh pineapple so you don't feel horrible. I felt good and it was so refreshing! I'll need to try to make this back home! We ordered the truffled Parker house grilled cheese, seafood club, and wood grilled burger. I did not get a picture of the grilled cheese but the bun resembled challah bread. It was so fluffy topped with a butter shine. It melts in your mouth and it comes with tomato soup. I didn't try with the tomato soup but by itself it was amazing! The seafood club as Nina put is as if a lobster roll and a BLT had a baby. That thing was MASSIVE. I definitely could not finish. I probably ate 1/8 because it was huge! It also came with truffle fries and it was all so delicious and fresh. My husband KILLED that burger so suffice to say he enjoyed it lol If you do valet parking, they do validate although there is self parking as well but it is very very limited unless you go early. They scan your ID as you enter the premises and lead you to where you an enter self parking or the valet entrance. Beautiful experience and 100% recommend. This bar is beautiful. The setting -- windows overlooking the ocean -- and the actual bar itself. I've been a handful of times, but last night I saw a man taking photos of the actual bar top and saying he's never seen anything like it. The fish that swim in the clear glass are so pretty. Clownfish I think? I've been at a table twice before, but I much prefer the barstools to watch the fish and look at the sand and coral. The bartenders are always very professional, but friendly if you talk to them. As for the menu, it's not a large list, and it's very expensive. I've had the crab nachos and the seafood tower and both were terrific. A guy next to us last night had the burger, which I wouldn't choose at a seafood bar, but he seemed happy with it. A man on the other side of us had two shots of whiskey at $260 a piece. I couldn't believe it! So it's a fun place to people watch as well, and of course just walking through the Breakers Hotel is a kick. I like to think of all its history. If you are rich, it's a nice place for a date. The seafood bar is located inside this beautiful gorgeous hotel, and yet with elegant charming atmosphere. We had a delightful dinner with friends. The perfect starting was our drink Bloody Mary! It was right saltiness with a little kick of the spice. You also get a big prawn on the glass edge. The deep tomato red and prawns soft pink kicked out our appetite. Following the drink, our grilled fish, blackened fish and sealed scallop were all fantastic. Ingredients were so fresh with right temperature and the aroma of the ocean. Fish was soft and juicy; scallops were tender with a nice texture. Especially the scallops sauce was amazing! It was based on tangy ginger and sweet peppers. Every bite gave me a great flavor. Our server was super friendly. He always had a big smile on his face and cared about our food also drinks. The whole dining room was decorated modern yet classic, comfortable seats and high sense dining tables. From window seats, you can enjoy a fabulous ocean view. I do wish they would lighted up a bit more on waterfront sidewalk for a romantic night. I do have some suggestions: it would be great if the salad bowls were served cold. And, I think they should not put pork bacon inside the Bloody Mary since not everyone takes pork. It's just a little nod to respect. Overall, it was fantastic! Out of the world experience. Really cool restaurant/bar at the Breakers! The vibe of the bar area is really fun- the large floor to ceiling windows allow you to see the ocean, and the bar itself is a fish tank! Heads up- it's REALLY hard to get a seat at the bar and they don't take reservations. Your best bet is to grab a drink and walk around, check back every now and then for a bar seat. We've been quite a few times now, and have yet to get a bar seat. The menu is fun and tropical! The filet mignon sliders (with caramelized onions and Parmesan aioli) were really delicious; the steak was tender and the rolls were soft. The mac and cheese left something to be longed for- probably wouldn't order that side dish again. My boyfriend loved his swordfish sandwich; and his French fries with Old Bay seasoning were really tasty. Nice and crunchy and seasoned to perfection! I enjoyed my time here! We actually spontaneously went after our reservation got messed up at another venue. We came and the wait for a table with no reservation was a half hour! Very cool bar, lots of clownfish swimming around beneath you. We came at night, so we didn't have a beautiful view, just too dark out, but it overlooks the ocean. I must say that the foods come with a price tag. If everyone order a drink, appetizer and entree individually, itll come out to a minimum of $125 per person. I really wanted stone crab and came here to get some. The price is for per crab claw. The seafood linguine was huge. I'm glad I split it with my partner. If you are sharing entrees, they automatically split the portion for you so you dont need to do it yourself. The sauce was on the saltier side. They also automatically add 20% gratuity to the bill. So you're just waiting around hoping no one who got there after you steals a spot first. Got there on a Saturday at around 1 and it was full but only took like 15 min for two seats to open up. Pineapple infused martini was very good. Actual drink is not too strong, enjoyable, and the pineapples were definitely soaked in vodka. The truffle fries had Gorgonzola which is a very strong flavor. The weekend rush during season is a little much for me but we arrived when it opened at 11am and were sat right away--but leaving on a Sunday midday the valet was a bit hectic. So my bestie and I wanted a fancy girls night out. We headed to the Seafood Bar and were immediately seated at a nice booth near the bar. Our server Victor C. was awesome and attentive. We started out with 2 cocktails...a pain killer and lemon drop martini. Both were amazing. Next, we ordered the crab nachos and the crab cakes for an app. Both were delicious but the crab nachos were huge...enough for 4 or 5 people and we didn't even put a dent in it. For the main course, I got the surf and turf and my friend got the twin lobster tails. We also ordered crab fried rice and Mac n cheese for sides. My filet and lobster tails were perfectly prepared and both sides were amazing. We ordered enough food for an army and ended up taking home a lot of leftovers so we could save space for dessert. We went over to the Breakers today and when we were up upstairs in the lobby, we were talking to one of the employees. It turns out to be Andrew and he's one of the managers at the seafood bar. We told him that we were going there Friday night and we decided to go down there to get a couple iced teas. Andrew was awesome. He is a great guy to talk to. We ended up getting two iced teas and we started talking about desserts with Andrew and he suggested the banana cream pie. We did order that and let me tell you something. Being a foodie and a hobby chef I'm always looking for that one ingredient that takes the dish to another level. My wife and I had the chopped wedge and both thought it was unique, the fresh dill garnished inspired me to request my burger with American cheese also have a sprig of fresh dill garnish it. It was amazing and took the burger to another level. It should be featured, it was that good. Everything in the preparation of our meal was the absolute highest quality and so fresh. This place truly is phenomenal. The whole entire hotel is absolutely breathtaking, and the restaurant is beautiful as well! The fish tank floating around under the bar is definitely a nice touch! We came here just for pre anniversary drinks and appetizers, and it was delicious! The cocktails were truly some of the best we had all ever had. They were sooooo fresh and flavorful. I got the special- a rose and grapefruit martini. My husband got the orange margarita, my dad got an old fashioned (amazing!), my sister for the lemon martini with fresh lemon, and every single drink was truly out of this world. Amazing! For appetizers, we got the shrimp and the zucchini chips. Both were sooooo yummy. The shrimp was the best anyone had had, and the zucchini chips were INCREDIBLE. From the moment you step foot in this beautiful Bar, you are floored by the decor. I ate at the bar on a Thursday evening and it was already very lively. The bar counter is an actual aquarium and you can see the beach and ocean from it. The server recommended a delicious Cabernet and I had the pistachio crusted salmon over a kale salad. So we planned to spend a day in the West Palm Beach area in Florida and on our itinerary was visiting the world famous hotel "The Breakers". Plenty to see in the surrounding areas as well, which we did, but we wanted to visit and have some breakfast or brunch while we were there. Now the hotel has a few options for food but in my opinion one of the best is their "Seafood Bar" at the back of the hotel, right in front of the boardwalk that leads to their stretch of the beach. We have never been but were looking forward to checking it out for ourselves. Very happy to report that our experience was awesome. It was packed and we had to wait a bit but well worth it. Once we sat down we were greeted by Adelin who did a great job of making us aware of all the specials and the seafood bar buffet option. Now as you can imagine the Seafood Bar is not cheap but the quality of the food, drinks and overall service that is provided is well worth it plus it's not like you are at The Breakers every day right. So enjoy yourselves. To start off we ordered a Smoked Old Fashioned and some other drinks. As expected, Becky at the bar knocked the drinks out of the park! Possibly one of the top five (5) old fashioned's I have ever had and that is saying something. It really was on point and that good. On to the food! We kicked things off with the Zucchini Chips which were light but very good. As our main lunch course we went with the Seafood Club with Truffle Fries and the Salad of Greens with the Pistachio Crusted Salmon. To say that both of these were delicious is an understatement. The seafood club which has lobster and crab was amazing and the truffle fries were incredible. The salad was awesome as well and the salmon very fresh as well. Presentation for both were excellent and we would definitely stop in again if we are in the area. I think it is pretty safe to say that everything on the menu is going to be good and from the line going out the door I think that sort of seals it. Rounding the corner in to dessert we decided to order the Breakers Original Recipe Key Lime Pie. Hands down this is one of the best key lime pies I have tried in a long time. The Florida Keys have absolutely nothing on this recipe. The Key Lime pie is a definite must try if you decide to visit the Seafood Bar at The Breakers. That said, I cannot say enough about the service that was provided. Both Adeline and Becky were amazing and really took great care of us. So if you find yourself at or near The Breakers hotel and want to see some history and enjoy some awesome seafood and drinks feel free to try them out as I don't think you will be disappointed.
