I was initially sad to see the previous restaurant go, but the arrival of Polo Lounge was a fantastic change. The ambiance remains largely the same, maintaining that upscale, relaxed vibe, though the fish tanks have been replaced. The food was impressive; I ordered the spaghetti topped with caviar, and it exceeded my expectations. I initially thought the portion would be too small, but to my surprise, I couldn't even finish it! The caviar added the perfect touch of saltiness to the dish. We also tried the Bronzino and a red sauce pasta with parmesan cheese. They both were absolutely delicious. The drinks were equally delightful, and the service was exceptional. We had about two waiters attending to us at a time, which created a seamless experience, as the entire staff seemed to collaborate effectively to ensure everything ran smoothly. A new restaurant that opened up at the old Prime Catch in Palm Beach which is owned by an Argentinian soccer player. It's a large but very noisy restaurant. My husband and I and another couple friends of ours ate there tonight. It was Wednesday night during a supposed off-season and the place was packed. Word to people reading these reviews - there is no off-season anymore in Palm Beach County. People are flocking to Florida from New York and New Jersey and other northern states. There was not one empty seat by 6:30 PM. When I was making the reservations I only had a choice of 5:30 or 9:00pm. We all decided to do the 5:30 seating. We had the corn pie, the artichokes, the bread rolls and the cheese and onion empanadas as appetizers. Everything was outstanding. But I've got to say at the kind of prices which this very high-end restaurant charges, bread rolls should have been on the house. Four of them were $20. Three of us had salads -arugula salad, some type of fruit salad, and Caesar salad, all of which were delicious. My husband had the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. He raved about it. I'm not really a meat eater, but I tried a bite and have to say it was amazing. I had the Dover soul which was melt in your mouth delicious. But for the $76 price point I expected more than a couple small soles. My husband's portion also was very small, --again for the price point, you really do not get a lot of food for the money. But the place was packed and apparently people don't care how much they spend when they go out anymore. Our friends also had the Dover sole so I can't speak as to any other entree items on the menu. For dessert I had Key lime pie and my friend had the crème brûlée. The Key lime was probably the best Key lime pie I've ever eaten. For a high-end restaurant, the price point was about what you would expect. The portions however we're not very large. The food was very good. But being owned by an Argentinian, this is more a steak house than a place to go for fish. Some steaks cost $200. My husband and I wanted to try the snapper which was a special for the night but were told it was farmed snapper?!! really???!!!! a high-end restaurant can't even get wild caught fish?? In Florida!!!!! where almost all the snapper is live caught. I took off a star for that. Bronzino was also farmed. The only fish that was not farmed was the Dover soul. Come on Polo club. You can do better than serving your customers farmed fish when you charge so much money. We were told that the meat was grass fed, and grass finished, which was great to hear. Now you need to get fish that is not farmed. There are several restaurants in Palm Beach where all the fish is wild, including the salmon. As to the service- meh. I've had better in low end restaurants. After taking our order, we did not see the waitress again. So I'm really surprised that all the reviews here that said the service was excellent. If excellent service means taking your order and bringing you the bill I guess the bar has really gotten low for wait staff. But when it was time to pay the bill, our waitress came over with that machine, even though we hadn't really even finished our dinner yet. It's like she was rushing us out of there. So when it came time to making a tip - I was not going to give her over $100 for lousy service just because the food was expensive there. The bill came to $560 for four with one drink - I had a Moscow mule. Two bottles of sparkling water were priced at $25. I ended up giving her $50 which was 10% but quite frankly she was not even worth that. So I took another star off for that. That is what is so unfair about the tipping system. You can have a restaurant where the waitress works her butt off but the food is not expensive so even when you give her a 30% tip, it's not a lot. And then you have a restaurant like this where it's almost $600 for four people to eat and you're expected to give the waitress 25% of that. And 25% for not really working very hard. The truth is the food was outstanding and if I was just giving stars on the food, I would definitely give a 4 1/2. But because of the not very good service and the tiny portions of the entrées, I took off two stars. By the way, none of the entrées come with anything. So you have to buy sides if you want a side. There are so many good restaurants to eat in Palm Beach that we will probably not return here. Hopefully the Management or owner is reading this review and understands that when you're paying $550 for people to eat with no drinks at least give them bread rolls and not charge them $20. read more

I recommend ordering the handmade mini empanadas. This is hands down a MUST. They're bite sized. You need to order a minimum of 4. My friend and I ordered 2 prime steak and 2 cheese and onion. They were creamy, warm, and delicious!! I ordered the Polo Waldorf salad which consisted of bacon, creamy blue cheese, apple, celery, figs and candied walnuts. It tasted very fresh and healthy. For the main course I ordered the Malbec braised short rib which was melt in your mouth fabulous!!! It came with carmelized vegetables. It reminded me of a beef stew a bit. What a memorable dining experience. Incredible people watching in Palm Beach! Service was over the top. We must have had 3-4 people watching our table. Server was very attentive and kind and was helping with menu questions specifically around the fish. She suggested the red snapper special over the branzino and she didn't hesitate. Excellent suggestion. Incredibly fresh and delicious! We also had the bread (wow) watermelon and feta salad, steak empanadas, prime rib aujus sandwich, short rib and the rigatoni. The rigatoni was the only dish we felt was "lacking". The sandwich and the short rib were incredibly flavorful and not fatty. So good. Lastly, had the fries which were perfectly crispy and lightly salted. Drinks were good, had the "polo" star and the gold rush which was a spin on the old fashioned. Will absolutely return. Came to the Polo Room tonight and had been dying to try it--overall a very mixed experience. Walking in, the back of the restaurant looked so much nicer than the front, and unfortunately we were seated right by the door, which really took away from the ambiance. Service, however, was great--our server was friendly and attentive all night. Drinks were hit or miss. I skipped the key lime martini after hearing it's made with Smirnoff key lime vodka. Tried my friend's espresso martini and it was pretty bitter. That said, my Old Fashioned was fantastic, and the vodka pours were generous--stick to the classics here. Food-wise, it was a mix of highs and lows: * Empanadas: small but tasty (8/10) * Waldorf salad: really good, just needed more greens (8/10) * French dip: delicious (9/10) * Pot pie: lacked depth of flavor (6/10) * Caesar salad (accidentally brought out): honestly a 10/10 * 24oz ribeye: the star--perfectly seasoned with a great crust * Rigatoni alla vodka: very disappointing--no flavor and the pasta was undercooked (3/10). First time trying the Polo Room. This area of Palm beach has so many options! And imo this is one of their top new spots! We chose to seat at the bar, as it felt engaging, just enough noise and distractions, and regardless if you seat next to your partner or alone, either way, you will enjoy the experience. I was very pleased with the food and service alike! My only disappointment was paying $9 for an additional chimichurri for my steak which felt unwarranted since the wagyu skirt steak itself was already over $80. However, i thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and since it was my first time, i did it anyway. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked, with a delicious char on the outside, perfectly pink in the center, well seasoned and well rested. Definitely a must try. I also loved the oysters, and the caviar tartelettes. Unexpectedly, the best dish of the night was their french dip sandwich sandwich, YOU MUST TRY IT! I don't even like sandwiches, but I already am planning to go back just for that! It's perfectly seasoned, rich in flavor, the bread is soft and absorbs the au jus so perfectly well! Was so excited to be able to snag a dinner reservation, two nights in a row! It's been difficult to get one since this place opened. Over the last couple of nights, we have tried the golden Ossetra caviar tartelettes, iberico ham "pata negra" (bruschetta), croissant rolls, mini empanadas, hamachi, chips and caviar, spicy rigatoni alla vodka, caviar spaghetti, wagyu French dip sandwich, and prime filet. Everything was really, really tasty. The croissant rolls are freshly baked, are sent out warm, flakey on the outside, and gooey on the inside- highly recommend starting your meal off with them! The steak empanadas were wonderful (over the onions and cheese ones) - they were filled with prime steak, had a crunchy shell, and were served with a spicy orange sauce that was absolutely delectable. Really made each bite pop! One of my favorite entrees was the wagyu prime steak sandwich- the bread was toasted but still soft (very fresh), the steak was juicy, and the horseradish sauce served with it had great flavor (spicy, but not overbearing). My other favorite entree was the caviar spaghetti- the homemade pasta was cooked al dente, there was a large amount (30 g) of Petra caviar both on top and mixed into the white wine butter sauce. The sauce was creamy, and had hints of lemon in it; it tasted really fresh and paired perfectly with the spaghetti and caviar. I love that they have a wide wine selection (variety of prices, low to high), as well as a cocktail menu. My favorite cocktail was the key lime pie martini- very decadent though and a true dessert drink. The service was very welcoming and friendly, opening all doors for you and greeting you with a warm smile. Food came out of the kitchen very fast (both nights). Felt the food was priced fairly (shocker for any restaurant in Palm Beach). Will definitely be back (when it's actually possible to get another reservation)! read more

We came here to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday and her graduation, and honestly it was perfect. We ordered almost every appetizer on the menu to share and every single one was amazing. We all got the handmade pasta for our entrees (my 8 year old devoured the wagyu French dip sandwich.. We all split the corn pot pie side - delicious! Genuinely could not find a bad dish, everything was 10/10. The service honestly blew us away. Our drinks never sat empty, and the second we finished a plate it was cleared and the table was cleaned up. Everyone who worked with us was so warm and welcoming, it really made the night feel special. We ended with key lime pie, crepes, and a cappuccino and it was the perfect way to close out the meal. We made a reservation weeks in advance for a date night and selected the dining room. When we arrived, we were directed to a small table in the front bar--right by the entrance. Not romantic, not what we booked, and frankly not acceptable for a planned evening. When I questioned it, I was told they now consider the bar part of the "dining room." That may work for them, but it wasn't how it was presented when we reserved. To make matters worse, the hostess was dismissive and rude, which only added to the frustration. What's most disappointing is that we're local, live four blocks away, and have dined here several times--yet were treated like last-minute walk-ins. The restaurant seems to be riding a wave of social media attention, but in the process is losing sight of basic hospitality. There's a reason this place struggles to get much above a 4 rating. The food is decent, but the way customers are treated is disappointing. The owner, Nacho--whom I've met before--would likely be embarrassed by the way the front staff handles guests. There also seems to be constant turnover, which shows. We've seen this pattern before--short-term hype, followed by a drop once the buzz fades and loyal customers stop coming back. We left and went to Tutto Mare, where we've dined at least a half dozen times. Despite being busy, the manager immediately recognized us and found us a great table, honoring our loyalty. That's the difference. There are still places nearby that understand hospitality--Sant Ambroeus, La Goulue, and Le Bilboquet continue to deliver consistently. Plenty of options in the area. 3.5 stars for Polo Room. The polo room has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is basically on the sidewalk right next to the valet. The margarita had good flavor but was not strong and had more ICE than alcohol. Our waiter Marco recommended the black truffle pasta and wagyu filet both of which we ordered. The filet comes sliced and had good flavor but nothing special. Once we ordered, it started sprinkling outside so we were moved inside. The inside was very dark, lively, and packed. Our booth was right up against the bar which was tight but we were just happy to not be rained on. We also had the rolls which were cooked perfect and flakey. The spicy rigatoni was delicious ( sort of a copy of carbone). Not pictured was the sea bass which was the best thing consumed. Favorite foods of the night were sea bass and the crepes, definitely get those ! The other reason for the three star review is how we were rushed out of the restaurant. We were so excited to get a reservation as this place has been booked out for months since it is so popular. Our reservation apparently glitched through open table and the staff still accommodated us. The staff went over the top to apologize for us being seated at the raw bar instead of the dining room seating. The raw bar seating was fine and you could still experience the ambiance, the only downside is not having a lot of room. However, it is cozy and intimate at the raw bar. The outdoor seating is on the side walk and does not have the ambiance the indoor dining offers. I highly recommend dining indoors. All of the food was delicious! The croissant rolls were flaky and buttery. We tried multiple cocktails but the star is the key lime pie martini which is not too sweet, smooth and very tangy. Highly recommend trying it! The corn pot pie was a recommendation and very delicious! The topping was buttery and crisp with a creamy corn center. The agnolotti pasta had a lot of depth and flavor profiles. I couldn't decide which pasta to order and this was such a great choice. The wagyu steak was tender and cooked correctly. A side of chimichurri came with the steak which was so fresh and flavorful. Management & wait staff like helicopter parents, constantly hovering. Every nuance seemed structured to turn your table over (You have the table for 2 hrs; we'll order your croissants now, but prefer to take appetizer and entree orders together; can I remove that plate, that glass, that silverware; here's your dessert and the check - no hurry and thanks for choosing The Polo Room). We never felt able to really relax without some interruption. Newer restaurant (Dec '25), so I guess it deserves a second chance. I wish I could say it was outstanding but it was mediocre at best. We had a 6:15 reservation. And due traffic. We were 30 minutes late . They do have a 15 minute grace period but traffic. Is out of our control. They gave our table away and we got sat at the front bar. Right by the entrance which wasnt enjoyable . High traffic lots of people coming in through front door. Was not a relaxing spot or enjoyable Service was sub par with our waiter forgetting several things we ordered. The food itself was mediocre. Definitely not worth the high price tag . It's a pretty restaurant but in my opinion not worth the hassle of the inconvenience of getting a reservation ( only through open table). Just not my jam. It's Palm Beach, so exorbitant prices are expected. Still, I expect them to come with decent portions and/or high quality food. I didn't really feel this did either of those things. Nothing was inedible, but nothing was good enough to order again either. Menu has no mocktails for anyone who doesn't drink. The appetizers were all lackluster, from the teeny tiny empanadas (basically one-bite each and which were probably the best tasting thing we got, though again, not even good enough to re-order), to the shrimp cocktail that was just meh (not sure how you even make shrimp cocktail "meh" but they did). The nearly $50 "Wagyu" French dip felt like it was an appetizer made with Steak-umms, NOT high quality meat, and didn't come with a single side. Every other entre left its diner underwhelmed and we all walked out feeling like we needed a second dinner. It was across the board the restaurant version of "...HER?" Service was great though, which is really the only reason I gave as many as 2 stars. Overall, none of us felt like we needed to return to try anything else and I doubt we will be back. read more
