I go to swig 3-4 times a week, easily and I will absolutely never be returning after my experience I had with Erin. I bought a fundraiser card from the Lone Peak swim team and have used 8/10 drinks so far. I go to use it again and Erin accused me of making it myself and told me it was fake and that she wouldn't accept the card that I paid for. She was SO incredibly rude, I cannot believe she would accuse me of this and attack my character in front of my son in my back seat. I am still in shock that this even happened. This is the worst run of all the swigs. I try to avoid it at all costs. I went thru it today and I remember why I think I never want to go there. There is NO advantage using the app to order. It doesn't give you any benefit to get your order and have it ready when you get there. Plus, they rarely have extra people helping in the line to speed it up. read more

WOW. I'm new to Utah and I've never seen a soda drive thru or even knew they existed. I'm not a soda drinker but decided to give swig a shot. I had a small Texas Tab, dr. We were taking a road trip going South through Utah and we wanted to pick-up a few provisions for our drive. We decided to stop by this place for a few snacks. We ordered the dirty Dr. Pepper (with coconut syrup) and the Missionary (sprite with coconut cream and tiger blood). The flavoring just adds something extra and different for people who already love these soda flavors. We also ordered a couple classic sugar cookies, chocolate frosted sugar cookies, and coconut cookies. All the cookies were very tasty, but my favorite had to be the coconut. People who go here shouldn't expect anything super fancy or elaborate. Service was ok and no one was inside the store when were order. This Swig is generally pretty good.   The line is always a little longer than the other ones I've been to.  The pink cookies are delicious and the doctor dreams are dreaming amazing.   Since I stopped drinking soda get a fruit water with sugar-free syrup. It's a tasty alternative to just plain water. They put chunks of frozen fruit in with the ice. Try it out. Service today is awful.  I got up to the shack to lay, and she charged me twice as much.   I get up to the window and they forgot to make one of my drinks.   Then they gave me two wrong drinks.    I didn't realize it until I was about 10 minutes away. There's no way I was going back to wait in that line.  Either I've had really bad luck, or service has been horrible at all the locations I go to read more

I've written a review for the Provo Swig, and its comparison to the American Fork location. Guys, American Fork wins (at least when it comes to sugar cookies and icing proportions). I went to both locations today, to capture a fair comparison. AF gives you a better baked, better iced, colder, more Swig-esque cookie. Don't waste your time in Provo. *You can CLEARLY see the icing difference in the picture (AF on the left, Provo on the right). However, the cookie I got today in Provo isn't the worst I've seen. If you value cleanliness and/or your health, DO NOT GO HERE. We were in the dining area for 45 minutes and saw many tables come and go. Not once did any of the employees (all who appeared to be about 16 and resentful of having to interface at all with customers) bother to come out and clean any of the tables or mop up and of the mess on the floors. Most of them were too busy putting pink frosting on sugar cookies for a wedding. If they weren't working on cookies, they were making drinks for themselves, chugging them and going back for more. The girl working the drive-thru LICKED HER FINGERS, grabbed a cookie and ate it while she was making a drink for an unsuspecting fool in the drive-thru lane. The girl working the front counter was snapping her chewing gum the whole time. She seemed annoyed that we were in her store. The music in the dining room was a good mix, but it was on so loud that it was hard to talk to others seated at your own table. On the quality of the food/drinks: the flavors on the shaved ice were good, but the ice itself was grainy -- more like a sno-cone than Hawaiian shaved ice, which should be like snow. The chocolate ice cream tasted like Ovaltine. We ordered small sizes for both, but the cups they were in were maybe half-full. That's OK -- neither one was eaten because they were so disappointing. And really, how can you have an appetite when you're just waiting for the Health Department to come in and shut the place down? The experience here is so comically bad that you just have to laugh and go along with it. This place and crew could star in a coming of age comedy where the main character works in a poorly run drink shop. We wanted some hot chocolate after dinner around 9PM. This was the only place close to where we were that was still open. We drove up, waited for a car or two, and then looked at the menu. Then I said the following to the kid 5 feet away from me, in a fairly loud voice..."WE'LL HAVE A 16OZ COCONUT CHAI AND A 16OZ HOT CHOCOLATE WITH COCONUT CREAM". The kid then looked at me, looked back at something else, and then looked back at me and said, "Wait...what was like the second part of that? I didn't get that part."...so I told him again, "A 16oz hot chocolate with coconut cream". "Oh, okay.....wait I didn't get the first part either." "A 16oz coconut chai." "Okay, I got it this time.".....okay, so now he has our order. 30 seconds later a new kid bursts out of a door, running as fast as he can to us...shouting, "WE DON'T HAVE COFFEE!! YOU GUYS CAN'T GET COFFEE, WE'RE OUT!!". As soon as he got to us I assured him that we weren't getting coffee. He looked confused, but said that everything was okay and that he guessed we could get the drinks we ordered. Then I gave the first kid my card, he swiped it, and then promptly dropped it on the ground as he handed it back. Luckily for me, as I opened the door I found a "frequent swigger" card with 7/10 stamps on it. What a find! Then we awkwardly sat there for no less than 3 minutes. Eventually first kid said, "Were you guys waiting for something? You can pull up to the next window to get your drinks" Of course we had no idea we were supposed to pull up, this was our first time here. So we pulled up and were handed a very cold chai and a hot chocolate. I wasn't asked if I wanted the chai hot, cold, or blended, so of course they assumed I would want a very cold, slushy drink on a chilly November night. Swig pops and refreshers are perfect for a hot day (or let's be honest, any day)! I got the strawberry breeze refresher and the mango breeze refresher, and they were both really good! You can choose water or sparkling water as your base and they add sugar free flavors, so it's a healthy drink! I don't usually like sugar free flavors, but I liked both of these drinks. It's nice to know of a good non soda option at a soda shop. I got both refreshers today with the water base. I also tried the coconut and pineapple pops. They were both so good! I love that these pops taste like real fruit. It's great that they offer to cut open the popsicle for you so you can eat it in the car if you want or you take them home and put them in the freezer to enjoy later. This location did have a lobby, but it is currently closed, so the drive through was the only option. Even with a long line, they had multiple people taking orders, so the line went pretty quick. Let me start by saying that I have been frequenting this place for a while now. I love all the soda flavors and options and the famous sugar cookies. That being said, the last few times I have been, the cookies have been subpar. I wonder if they even make them in house anymore? The texture and shape isn't want it used to be. I got the Thai coconut bubble tea and a peanut butter cookie. The tea is more like a smoothie, and it's amazing! It's pretty big and has plenty of black tapioca pearls (bubbles). You can get it without pearls, but there is no extra charge for them. I got it mixed with water instead of milk. It is nice and creamy with a great flavor so it tasted perfect without milk. The cookie was cold. I think it is actually supposed to be cold because it felt like it came out of the refrigerator. I wasn't going straight home so I just left the cookie in my car and once it warmed up it was yummy. The line of cars was so long that an employee was outside taking orders as well. Despite the long line I did not have to wait very long because it is mainly drinks, which are pretty fast. The staff members are great too. This was my first trip and I will be back. read more

Should you decide to get in the ridiculous line, you could be spending the next 30 minutes of your life looking at the bumper in front of you...all this for a dirty soda. Always a big swig fan, we go frequently and really enjoy their soda menu as well as their sugar cookie. I'm a big fan of the bloody wild and the guava have it. The pebble ice is a nice touch but I always recommend asking for lite ice and if your drink has lime or Lemon ask them to squeeze it! Otherwise I'm pretty sure they just toss it in there and it doesn't do anything for your drink. They've always been snappy at this location even when it's busy. Check out their app, it's awesome for rewards and you can order online and pick it up which is SO NICE to avoid the lines and rush. Also it's usually way quicker to go in than to wait in the drive-through line. We always race the car we would have been in line behind and always beat it going inside. read more

I love SWIG, but I've been nothing but disappointed with them lately. Take a seat and let me explain... #1: I am allergic the lemon. I get a "Endless Summer" with no lemon. Many times they put a lemon in it and I have to use my EpiPen once because they put a handful in it. THAT IS NOT FAIR. I always tell them I am allergic and NOT to put it in. Yet they do so anyways. #2: My husband knows of my love for SWIG, so he bought me their new white cup for our Anniversary. The cup has scratches on it (probably from shipping or something) and they won't let me exchange it for a new one. Why? I have NO idea. My husband paid $20 for it, it was unused (but out of the box. He gave it to me in a cute way.) they did not give me a reason, just said no. That is unacceptable. #3: My daughter has a (older) mug and gets their "Jolly Elf", which is LOVES. However, she left her cup in my car for a few days and when we went back to SWIG as a reward for an A on a spelling test, we gave them the cup with it half full (their sign says not to empty it in their drive-up, they will empty it for you). THEY DID NOT EMPTY THE CUP. They put a new drink on top of an OLD drink. WHATTT?? It made my daughter sick. She threw up later that day and I wondered why, until I emptied the mug. Judge on going there yourself now. Oh, and service sucks. read more

An LDS Starbucks? Or maybe Mormon crack? Maybe not but this place is very addicting. If you've read many of my reviews you'll know that I'm a soda (Mt Dew) junkie and I love this place! Really creative, unique drink combinations. The raspberry, coconut cream Dr Pepper is really, really, really good and the mango Mt Dew is close behind. Served with large pellet ice and a styrofoam cup it's soft drink nirvana. The cold, sugar cookie with pink frosting is a delightful accompaniment and I don't use the term delightful very often. After 5 visits, the customer service has been great each time and orders have been fast, friendly and accurate. It's about $4 for a cookie and 44oz drink. read more

So I normally go a place a couple times before I can give an adequate review. This the second time we have come to swig in 2 weeks. The first time wasn't so bad, except my wife ask for her dirty coke and they made her a dirty diet coke. Then when we told them it wasn't supposed to diet, the teenage girl gave us a look as though we were lying. Said nope and it needed to be fixed. Came back today, kids started ordering their drinks, after the second drink was ordered I informed the girl that these would all be light ice. I noticed another girl was reading the screen and writing on the cup. I mentioned it to the cashier who said they would fix it. Got the order and only two of the four drinks had light ice. The downfall of this business will definitely be the lack if attention to detail made by the young careless staff. read more

The flavors of the drinks are pretty decent. I was able to recreate pretty closely one of my favorite sodas that's no longer being made (Dr. Pepper Berries & Cream). Also a fan of Cherry Mountain Dew. :) That said, the last several times I have been there, they were out of the 44oz cups. And this time they were ALSO out of the 32oz cups. Do they only order cups once a week? And do they not realize there are places they could just drive to down the street that sell styrofoam cups?! Given that I've never seen anyone working in the entire place who looked over the age of 16, I'm wondering if they just don't have a clue how to manage a service business. I was really hoping swig would be good. It's been busy since it opened a few weeks ago. I've always seen a line of cars at the drive through everytime I pass by. The shaved ice machine was out or else I would have gotten that. It probably would have been better since you can't go wrong with shaved ice. We got a pomegranate Italian soda and a strawberry smoothie. The soda proportions were way off. It had the worst bitter taste from too much soda water. The smoothie had the worst plasticky aftertaste. We didn't finish either of them. We won't be back there. I'd recommend slurp just down the road. Good stuff. read more

I have had this place on my "to-try" list ever since I saw the copycat Swig sugar cookie recipes blowing up Pinterest. The descriptions promised soft centers with crispy edges thanks to a combo of butter and oil in the recipe. What I got was something different. I should start with the good. Service was fast and super friendly. Accordingly, I dropped a tip in the bucket. And I should add that we didn't try the flavored sodas. I'm sure the HUGE list of flavor mix ins is a draw, including classics like cherry and tropical options like guava. Maybe if I had, I would have thought this place was worth the awkward access during construction (not their fault but I think most of us have that "is a place worth the hassle" sort of analysis we do). What we did get was one classic sugar cookie with pink icing, a peanut butter cookie, and a coconut cookie. The sugar cookie was very much like a Lofthouse or other similar commercial sugar cookie you might buy, super soft (not a crispy edge in sight) and tasting mostly of flour. I had a bite of my son's peanut butter and coconut cookies and those were slightly better than your average commercial cookie, simultaneously dense and chewy. SWIG! What a concept! I was given the tip about your dirty Dr. Pepper. After checking out J Dawgs, I searched out the nearest Swig location. My visit was at the drive through, I didn't go inside the restaurant. Placing the order was nice, interesting having a person in a separate shack like box. The person in there was nice and make a few great recommendations for a first timer family. We ordered the Dirty Dr. Pepper, the Fruit Loops drink and the Mango/Mt. Drew combo, the name of that drink escapes me. As a fan of soda, I normally drink it straight with no mixes. My wife and I shared the Dirty Dr. Pepper and the Mango Mt. Dew. The little ones had the fruit loops drink. The kiddos loved the Fruit Loops drink (don't judge me). My wife and I kept trading drinks with the ones we had. At one point she said, "I don't really like Dr. Pepper," only to noticed a moment later that she was drinking the Dirty Dr. Pepper more frequently than the Mango/Mt. Dew. Oh final note, we did order some of the sugar cookies. Maybe i'm getting too old, but they were a bit too sweet. We ordered one each, neither of us finished half of the cookie. We're huge fans! Love the service, drinks and cookies! I don't usually usually go inside because I have small kids so we use the drive through. It can be REALLY long depending on what time it is, but I always see that as security that swig won't be shutting down anytime soon! :) Keep up the good work! read more
