Extremely disappointed in my recent experience at Swig. It's a shame when you visit a local establishment, willing to spend a lot of money and are treated unfairly. Myself, alongside 2 good friends visited Swig the other evening with high hopes after hearing many good things. Throughout the night, we were accused of not being of age to drink on multiple occasions. Mind you, I'm going on 24 years old and my other friends are 25. Not to mention, our waitress did check out IDs upon arrival and verified that we are, in fact, of legal drinking age. As the night went on, we were accused by multiple waitresses who were not serving us and the bartender of not being of legal drinking age. We were then asked to verify our ages not once or twice, but three times! Upon cashing out, we were still treated as if we were unwelcomed and one waitress even came up questioning us again. While questioning us, she grabs a man who seemed to be higher up than her and says, "I'm not comfortable with this, can you take over," and then walks away leaving it up to him to handle. I spent over $100 between the overpriced beer and food for myself and my friends. I've never been treated so poorly when spending so much money. Typically, when you spend a lot at an establishment, you're treated with the utmost respect. I will say that the beer cheese dip was very good, and my friends will agree that their sandwiches were made with quality ingredients. Unfortunately, the horrible service far outweighed the quality of the food. I'm writing this review to warn anyone willing to try Swig. Yes, the food is good, but the service is far below what the average consumer would expect. In addition, I was reading some of the other reviews on here and saw that the manager replied negatively to some of the posts. For a manager to call someone "immature" is uncalled for. Your job as a manager is to take negativity maturely, assess the situation, and correct your employees' mistakes. I'm very dissatisfied with my experience and can see by some of the other reviews that they received awful service as well. I hope that you will take these reviews the correct way and fix your mistakes. I'm always a strong supporter of local restaurants and that is exactly why I visited with the intent to spend a lot of money. It's unfortunate that it wasn't well spent. read more

Stayed nearby so just looked at Yelp to find a place with good reviews. Swig did not disappoint. The place was packed for a Tuesday evening, so we were able to grab a spot at the bar to sit for dinner. Husband had perch sandwich which was so big that he only ate the perch. He noted that batter was just right - not too thick and cooked well. I had BLT which was piled high with bacon (even not being the larger portion of bacon). Draft beer selection was good. read more

Maybe if I could have been seated or any of the 8 staff who walked by would have acknowledged our presence, I could give more than one star. I had high hopes that I could sit on the patio as there were at least 3 tables open and available that I could see before walking in but when I asked, a man told us 'no patio' and said to grab a seat inside. There wasn't anyone else waiting, and there seemed to be more staff than customers so the man's abruptness and dishonesty left such a bad taste in my mouth that we went to Packos for beer and hot dogs to wash it away. My two sons in town and wanted some red meat! What a great choice. Everything from sausage to burgers to sandwiches were creative and fresh. I had a salad and also was impressed. Waitstaff were attentive and polite, and a nice earthy ambiance. read more

I went the night of Harrison rally days, there were not many patrons but the waitress was very rude! The wings we ordered were awful too! Incidentally the waitress didn't even bother to ask if we wanted naked or fried with breading; so she decided to bring out naked. Worst wings I ever had. They were like rubber, probably cooked in the microwave. I will never go to this place again. We were never treated so rudely. read more

Delicious food, we loved everything we ordered. My daughter and I split the cheesesteak hoagie, my son had the BBQ chicken sandwich and my husband a burger. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was so nice and was very accommodating when we asked to move to an outdoor table bc my daughter was cold inside. Cute atmosphere - GIANT beer list - we will def be back again! read more

Cheese cubes and the fries are great. main dishes are hit or miss, but the ones that are a hit are great. Staff is allways nice. seating can be tricky when its busy. prices are kinda high but everything is made fresh in house including sauces. read more

Great food. I have never had a bad meal here. My favorite is the swig soup. The dining area is a little small but the recent patio addition makes up for it. I also like the variety of beers offered. read more

Had high hope because of the high reviews, but was let down. We got the Beer cheese and pretzels, the cheese was ok and the pretzels were store bought frozen food pretzels. Nothing impressive at all. We both ordered chicken chunks and they were mediocre at best. Sauce was blah and nothing was exceptional. Staff was just okay. read more

If you enjoy fine beer and hand crafted food to accompany it, SWIG is the place for you. They are judicious in their beer selections. Small batch IPAs from California, Colorado. Award winning Stouts, aged in bourbon casks. Delicious imports from Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Hands down the best beer list in the Toledo area. As for the food, they prepare it all from scratch daily. No preservatives, 100% natural. Not only do they cure their own ham and bacon, and hand stuff their own sausages, but they make their own mustard, catsup, butter. Here's the short of it. SWIG is committed to simple pleasures (Beer and meat) executed at the highest level. A resounding success on both! read more

Karla, one of the bartenders, is such a ray of sunshine!! She always has a great selection and knows which ciders are gluten free! I usually get the Greek salad and it's way better than most - huge chunks of feta and a great dressing. There's not a *ton* of gluten free options but everyone that works there is so sweet and knows the menu well so I feel totally confident I won't get sick! read more

Really comfortable place. Nice beer selection and love that you can add a "adult shot" to a flavored lemonade. The homemade sausages were wonderful. Really liked the homemade Andouille sausage. Just enough smoke and heat to make it right. read more

This was a great find! A friend of mine suggested I give it a try when I was in the area for work again, and it didn't disappoint. Great beer selection, specials, and menu. The food was great and the service was better. Got grown up chicken nuggets(chicken chunks), they were great, but the star of my supper was the side salad I had. The bacon teriyaki dressing is amazing! I know it sounds weird, but it's so good, just try it! Was lucky enough to get live music (Andrew Ellis) which just made the experience that much better. He's a great musician, and plays here frequently! Atmosphere is super cool and laid back, will definitely make this a regular stop when I'm in town. read more

Stopped in to Swig for lunch today. We ordered Brisket Samich (how they spell it) and chips home made, it was not all that great we were disappointed the brisket was dry and chewy not what we expected for brisket!! The chips were not great either. The price 13 per Samich & chips, I thought it was a bit high for what it was. Otherwise the service was good and serves were friendly!! read more

Loved the food, the beer, and the atmosphere! There was live music, and the menu was simple. Wings, burgers, sandwiches, Franks, sausages, etc. I "made my own frank" and added delicious ingredients such as jalapeños, beer cheese sauce, and sautéed onions. I will definitely be back to try the other menu items! read more

Decent spot. The beer selection was great and the waitress was pretty good. However the food was just ok. We got a bunch of things and just shared it. We tried the brat, kielbasa, hot wings, Chicago dog, feta dip, and soup. The feta dip was great, everything else was just ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Stopped here on a road trip from MD to Michigan. Great choice of beers. We had the local Ohio ones. Scottish Eggs are a definite must get!! Spicy mustard was a nice touch. Cool spot and a nice treat. read more

Had the smokey Italian sandwich. It was great. The fries were a little soft but still good. Chipotle ketchup was a nice touch. They have a great beer selection too, and the servers seem friendly and attentive. read more

Heard the buzz, had to see for myself. Great food, great drinks, great service. Was incredibly busy since we went on a Thursday, which is the nite for the Perrysburg Farmer's Market. Manager came to the table to answer questions and was friendly and helpful. Had the smoked salmon and the smoked, cured and curious charcuterie board...yum. Mustard, here, is an art form. My DPIC (dining partner in crime) had the scotch eggs and the Reuben. As other diners observed, it is loud. Wait for a table outside if you don't want to yell to be heard. Only warning....parking is a pain on Thursdays. Be prepared to hunt a little! read more

Been here a few times and enjoy it! Found in Downtown Perrysburg it offers a outside patio for the warmer weather. They have a good beer selection and I enjoy the Gyro Sausage very much (just wish it was a little larger). I know you can order food online as well but I've never personally tried it. There is some parking available in the back as well incase you can't find a spot on the street. I will definitely be returning again. read more

Went to Swigs based on the Yelp reviews and was very pleased. My wife and I were there on a Monday night while traveling. We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, attentive and helpful with information with the beer choices. The craft beer list offered some great selections. The food was top notch. I had a smoked chicken dinner salad and my wife had smoked salmon, both were excellent. We split a bowl of chili that had a large amount of ground beef and tasted great. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Perrysburg. read more

As good as a beer selection can get in Ohio. Kudos! The 41NINER is for real. Service is excellent. Parking is rough, but that's what you get for being in a prime walkable spot. Just keep looking in the back and you'll find something. It's worth it. read more
