Oh how I love this place. From the wee little 6 months old to the big kids and adults, everyone has a home here at Swim Atlanta. They have classes all through the week and on weekends for all swim levels. I'm amazed at how highly skilled the teachers and coaches are. They really make a difference in the development of the kids and there is a world of difference between what the skills are when they move up through the different levels. Coach Mark has been super. He plays with the kids, he's a whiz at getting them comfortable in the water and does drills that strengthen the muscle groups needed for them to become good swimmers. the older kids are often on teams and you can see the difference in their muscle tone and development over the years. I love this place and it's totally worth the investment in yourself/child. There's also classes for differently able or developmentally challenged people. It's encouraging to see that everyone is welcomed.

Friendly staff, clean facilities. Classes started on time. Updated communication for class reminder and reasonable pricing.

I swam for Swim Atlanta all the way thru high school so I was partial to having my daughter swim…read morethere. She loves to swim and has had fantastic coaches during summer league. The people who work in the office at swim Atlanta Hamilton mill are as nice as can be. I was absolutely stunned at the bad attitude that one of the swim coaches had. Her name is Patricia. She made it obvious that she was mad that my daughter started her class after they had already had 2 classes. She couldn't get over that the front office didn't have her name on her list of kids for her class. She was looking at the paper and throwing it down, pacing, her hand gestures obviously showed frustration ( even while talking to my 9 yr old daughter). She singled my daughter out and made her feel unwanted. She was so grumpy and agitated, no patience. My daughter wasn't even able to finish practice bc she made her feel so bad that she was in tears saying she wanted to leave. Shame on coach Patricia for making a sweet, excited little girl question her love for swimming. Only then, when she saw my daughter crying and Us go in the office did she come in say come on Addie you were doing good, what's wrong? I couldn't believe she had the audacity to come say a single word to my daughter while she was crying bc of her actions!! This lady will single handedly make them lose business no doubt about it. She should NOT be working with children AT ALL!!

He was in fact in her class. 30 minutes in my 5 year old child left the class crying saying he wasn't good enough and we had to leave early. I will NEVER step foot in here again. She should not have a job teaching children.

I recently left a 5 STAR review for the Briarcliff location, where we had a consistently positive…read moreexperience. After relocating to Johns Creek, we've attended this location for the past three weeks--and unfortunately, the quality has not matched what we previously experienced. The facility is noticeably outdated, with rusted benches in ALL of the changing stalls--something I find concerning, especially with my child barefoot in those areas. The amenities also feel neglected. The same worn coloring sheets have been out for weeks, and the provided markers don't work. These may seem like small details, but they matter when creating a welcoming environment for kids. At Briarcliff, the staff went the extra mile they had connect 4, cornhole and bubble machines going on the Entry and Exit of Class they even gifted the kids Ballons and sickers after EACH SESSION. My biggest concern is the lack of consistency in swim instructors. My son has had a different instructor EVERY session, making it difficult for anyone to assess his progress accurately. He's been with Big Blue since July 2024 and was thriving--yet here, they wanted to demote him back to the beginner class based on a single instructor's brief interaction. One instructor, in particular, was overly aggressive and even ripped a bandage from my son's finger during class without knowing what was underneath--an inappropriate and careless action, especially not knowing my son's sensitivity. To make matters worse, I was told I'd need to get in the water and teach my son the Bright 1 material MYSELF. If that's the expectation, I might as well be the instructor I find that request unacceptable due to the fact that I have spend over thousands of dollars with this company. I've since WITHDRAWN my son from this location, and he is now happily enrolled at Aqua TOTS. Based on our experience, I would NEVER recommend the Johns Creek location to other families.

A hot mess! The start date for class was postponed two weeks later the day BEFORE the original…read morestart date because of a "family emergency". Two weeks later we're told we have a new instructor just for the second day another family emergency occurs with her which isn't her fault. However the following day everyone is waiting outside the locked doors 15 minutes after class was supposed to start because no one's there! No lights, doors locked, no one was answering our calls, no emails or a heads up, nothing! Our class of 25 dropped to 8 that following week because the lack of unprofessionalism and communication was absurd. The one saving grace out of this school was our instructor Miss Terri. She went above and beyond making sure we weren't behind on our course due to the inconveniences that occurred that disrupted our learning days. She was patient, understanding, and lit up the classroom with her lively energy. If it wasn't for her I think the course would've been postponed again for god knows how long until they found another teacher on short notice, she saved my time and made sticking through the struggles worth it. I couldn't be more grateful but besides that I would not recommend. The lack of communication was terrible from the people in charge and even though Google reviews has a high rating (god knows how) I recommend going somewhere else for these kind of certifications. Yes it might cost a bit more but trust no low price is worth the headache and uncertainty.
