I provided Luis clear instructions on how to open the gate to the backyard and was able to get in for a 5-minute pool service. On his second visit he pulled my gate rather than pushing and completely destroyed my gate. See images below. When I asked Thomas the owner to simply fix my gate, he said no and he decided to stop servicing my pool. I have never worked with anyone so unprofessional in my life. after a death in the family, home maintenance became my job And I had no real idea of what I was doing. On a Friday afternoon the pool water was squirting a steady stream out of the pump I immediately called the pool company That we were using at the time. I turned the pump off and waited and waited and made four phone calls between Friday and Monday morning. did not get a response. Just my luck Thomas was next-door attending to my neighbors pool. I called him over he immediately went and bought a new pump and installed it for me within the next hour hour and a half. I called Thomas during the winter chair at blown into the pool and I couldn't retrieve it. Johnny on the spot he sent Luis right over to fish the chair out for me. There have been a few other incidents that I have needed help and I have 100% assurance they will lways respond very quickly and fix the problem. They are a lovely family and company. As we get older, and things change..my Mother lost my Father 23 years ago...She is a Senior citizen and lives alone and manages very well. She has had this Pool Cleaning Company for almost two years..I have no tolerance for disrespect for older people, in this case, my Mother! Tom, the owner is very knowledgeable of his business and about pools...But, Tom has no patience when it comes to my Mom...Comments like, "We haven't been on the same page since we met!", and, "You're not listening to me!, I've been working on pools for 20 years!" I would like to tell everyone about our experience with Swimcare Pool Manitoba, particularly Cieran who came out to our house. We have had an ingrown pool since 1984 and had never needed to use a pool company as my husband took care of opening, closing and weekly maintenence of pool chemicals. We have not had an issue with algae in many many years but with all the rain in June and the pool not being used we were not checking the condition of the water. When it got hot we wanted to swim but when we took off the solar cover the liner had algae on it. After water testing and a lot of chemicals we got the water clear again but our vacuum wouldn't vacuum up the algae. We had gotten rid if the original manual vacuum years ago and replaced it with a Kreepy Crawly and then a Polaris. Swimcare was recommended to us and when I phoned it was Cieran who answered and he talked me through what I should be doing in regards to adding chemicals and brushing the walls. He came out on Thursday and vacuumed our pool and it sparkled Friday morning more algae had settled so after a guick phone call, Cieran came out again to vacuum. We were only charged the first time and not for the return visit and I might add it was a very reasonable price for the service. While he was here we found Cieran to be very friendly and courteous and we would recommend this company for anyone who needs help with their pool. Thomas was really quick to respond. We had a broken pool sweep motor for a few weeks, and he came with a replacement pump the very next day after I called him. He inspected and diagnosed that the motor was not fully burnt and could do with just replacing a part. He promptly came back the next day with the new part and Voila, my pool equipment is back to work. He also spent some time educating us about our system as we are new homeowners with the pool. He gave a ton of maintenance tips and demoed a few things our middle schooler son could do to upkeep the pool. Also fixed the leaks in the solar panels, and got it up and running. We had guests in town for spring break - our first visitors since the pandemic began, and our pool wouldn't heat! 55 degree water might be warmer than the air temperature in our Michigan guests' hometown, but it's still not desirable for swimming!
