Can't recommend them enough! They have fun with the kids but are serious about learning to swim in a gentle supportive manner.

Communication with Christi was always professional, friendly, and constructive. Our swim instructor, Ryan, did an outstanding job. He was patient, encouraging, and helped Hazel build both her skills and her confidence in the water. Whenever Ryan wasn't available, Tiff stepped in and did a fantastic job as well, ensuring the same high standard of instruction. One piece of advice we received from the AquaticZone team was to let Hazel swim without floaties at all times. We followed that recommendation consistently, and she made remarkable progress in a very short time. Practicing this way helped her develop strong water confidence and independence. Our main goal was for our daughter to become a confident swimmer--not to make things easier for us at pool parties or family outings. We were committed to supporting her throughout the learning process, and the guidance we received from AquaticZone played a huge role in her success. We highly recommend AquaticZone to anyone looking for a professional, supportive, and effective swim school. Thank you to Christi, Ryan, Tif, and the entire team for helping Hazel become such a confident swimmer!

Thanks for acknowledging the review. I don't plan to pursue or give further opportunity to correct the experience I had. I had pointed this out several times to whoever I was texting to and got very unsatisfactory responses.

I love SoCal Water Babies, and especially Cathryn…read more My older daughter (now 5) did 2 summers of private lessons and 1 group lesson. At 2, my daughter could swim across the pool by herself outside of lessons. Before lessons, my daughter would freak out anytime water touched her face, after just a few lessons with Cathryn, my daughter was literally dunking her head in the bath, and is the biggest water lover now! This summer I took my 1 year old to survival float lessons with Cathryn. The first 2 weeks, my daughter absolutely hated them. Screaming, crying, but floating entirely on her own already. By the end of week 4, my daughter was laughing and lunging herself into the pool. And she absolutely loved Cathryn, cuddling into her every chance she got. Cathryn is so positive and tough in the best way. Both of my daughters absolutely love her. I look forward to taking my youngest back next summer for swim float swim! I genuinely cannot recommend SoCal Water Babies enough. Good swim lessons are SO important, and I have serious faith in her technique. The relief I feel knowing both of my kids have strong survival instincts around water now is great. 10000/10 recommend.

We have absolutely loved our experience here! My son is 18 months old now and started swim lessons…read morewhen he was 16 months. We have a pool at home, so learning water safety was a huge priority for our family. Looking back, I only wish we had started even sooner. The progress he has made in just a couple of months has been incredible. He can float better than most adults I know, and he's already learned how to roll over onto his back and float if he falls into the water. Watching him develop these lifesaving skills has given us so much more confidence around the pool. Like many toddlers, he still cries during some lessons and reaches for me, especially when he's learning a new skill. But I've come to realize that's because he's being challenged, and growth isn't always comfortable. Once he mastered floating, he actually stopped crying for several lessons. Now that he's working on a new skill, the tears have returned a bit which is completely normal. Kris is patient, encouraging, and always makes sure he is safe while helping him build confidence. I truly appreciate how focused the program is on real water safety, not just having fun in the pool. Seeing what my son is capable of at only 18 months old has been amazing. I would highly recommend these lessons to any parent, especially if you have a pool or spend time around water. It's one of the best investments we've made for our son's safety.

While Kris and her team are passionate about swim instruction, I came here to say that I think it…read moreis INCREDIBLY important that anyone seeking to take lessons here with a young child, say under 3, understands that Kris uses ISR training. PLEASE PLEASE research for yourself whether ISR is right for you and your child. (After my own research and consultation with numerous other swim experts- literally a drowning expert witness- it is NOT as safe as FVSA or other ISR experts will claim it is). Personally-- it was not for me or my child. It was traumatic for her, caused MORE fear of the water than she originally had, and she took in too much water and puked during 3 separate lessons and Kris brushed it off as normal (and I soon was assured by NUMEROUS swim coaches and medical professionals that it is NOT). When I expressed concerns, I DO appreciate that Kris seemed receptive, however, her teaching style is just not compatible with how I want my daughter handled. I wish this were different because I do think Kris is a passionate, very good person and maybe this teaching style works for some, and potentially for older children. But if you are starting with a child under 3, please beware that it is difficult to watch and in MY opinion after a LOT of research, does not provide the long term safety alleged by ISR advocates.
