Made my first visit to swimming pool warehouse today. These folks treated me great. Walked in door with my pool pump motor. The guy working on another motor waved me over to help me. I explained my problem, he diagnosed it in minutes , made the repair and I was out the door in less than fifteen minutes. On top of that the price they charged me was more than reasonable. So I found them after a Yelp search when NPS sold out to one of the "big guys" who I've avoided for many years. Came in with a backwash valve from an ancient filter problem. First, Ken gave great advice on what do and then when I hit wall, was able to get a small pin out so the gasket could be changed. And then he didn't even charge me for that (had bought the new gaskets on a prior visit)! This is the service that a locally-owned independent can give, and they sure do. And buy chemicals here, too. I just had an amazing experience at the swimming pool warehouse. I currently rent a house and I am responsible for the maintenance of the pool. The pool has a barracuda 3 that has been doing an OK job of cleaning the bottom but I've noticed lately that it hasn't been working correctly. I called up and spoke to Ken who told me to bring in the barracuda so he could check it out. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem without having to replace the entire unit. I am an extremely pleased customer and would gladly recommend this business to anyone who has to maintain a pool. read more

Worst experiences ever. First of all they are not direct like they claim. I had to call and argue with the SR Smith manufacture, because the pool Watehouse did nothing to help my order. I ordered 2 sun shelf chairs and a table. The table said shipping but tracking read label created only. It was a nightmare to get the table. Finally it came missing the adapter, but I had enough with the company and purchased it from someone else. $90. For the missing adapter. But worth not doing business with them. Oh and I had to put a complaint in to the BBB pool warehouse and SR smith. And the chairs I bought for 1850. don't even stay put the way are suppose to. Horrible experience. I can't imagine building a pool with these people. My total purchase of 2300.00 was a nightmare. It took 3 months to get everything and like I said I was still missing an important part. read more

Placed a order on June19 2019. Never got the order but did charge my credit card the next day. After not hearing anything from them I called 20 days later. They told me they would check on my order and get back to me the next day. The next day they email me my order is canceled no exclamation. Except it would take them 5 to 7 days for a refund I called and the said they no longer carry that item. It would have been nice if they told me in a couple days not 20. read more

Once again Ken treated me exceptionally well. I've been an AZ resident for almost 7-years but I have a lot to learn about Pool heaters and pumps. I started coming here in 2009 for small things and advice. In 2011 we bought a bigger home and a more complicated Pool. I've learned to bring my Hayward Pool vac here for annual maintenance which has kept mine running now for 7-years. Hayward helps sponsor and Ken passes the savings into the customer. Last year I was going to buy a bigger and more expensive pump than I needed and Ken educated me both in what I really needed and product. I saved hundreds. My pump failed a year later and Ken stepped up, replaced the bearings saying it should not have happened. I paid for the parts and the hour. Less than $100. Won me over and earned my business today; didn't even make a purchase. Ed was willing to advise me over the phone and was extra helpful when I came in--the tip he offered up appears to have worked. They stock hard-to-find items/parts (the only place in town that had leak detecting dye), and when I was there, some of the other customers appeared to be pool repair guys/contractors, for what that's worth. I used to go to Leslie's pool, but their prices went up and service went down. I have been using the Pool warehouse for several years now, at first just to buy my chemicals and later for equipment and Services as well. I have a saltwater pool system and they gave me a great price on a new Cell as well as a new pool Vacuum. They guys in there are very knowledgeable and try to fix your equipment first before selling you something new. You can't really go wrong by shopping here. read more

When I first hired this company, Ed came out and got my pool sweep working and did a great job for the first few weeks while he was coming himself. Then they started sending one of their other employees (unfortunately I don't know his name). Two weeks he did not show up at all and the other weeks he would show up, throw in 2 tabs of chlorine, and leave. The only week he actually cleaned my pool was because I happened to be home that morning and I stood outside the back door and watched him so he had to. Repeatedly I complained that my pool was not getting cleaned each week. After the second complaint, Ed took over my pool care again and while he was handling it everything was clean and great. Again (without telling me) they started sending the other employee, and right away my pool was constantly filthy again. So disappointed. I was excited about all the 5 star reviews, only to be extremely disappointed and having to start this search all over again. read more

Started using the service in April. My pool has been green for 3 weeks . Last friday morning , we happened to be home when they came to service the pool, and the service man asked what happened to the pool, as if he were surprised . He shocked the pool but did not check for phosphates . By saturday the pool was still 90% green. Had to go to leslies pool to buy chemicals to shock it ourselves. When I first went to SPW, I needed a part for my pool. Instead of simply telling me he didn't have it, Ken referred me to another business that did have the part. Next, I inquired about having my leaking pool pump fixed. No problem for Ken. He sent someone out and that pump now runs without any leaks. Finally, I had a long-time leak in my water feature that others had tried to fix. Again, Ken sent someone out and after 4 days of troubleshooting, my fountain is finally fixed. This is the most honest business I have ever dealt with. I thought I needed a new pool pump motor. I had also sheared off a bolt connecting the motor to the pool pump flange. 15 minutes after dropping off the motor and flange I got a call from the owner telling me all I needed was a new capacitor for the motor, an 'O' ring and a new bolt to replace the one I sheared off. $ 25 dollars and thirty minutes later I was out the door! They will not give you BS and will let you know if they can fix the problem, or if you are better off with a replacement. They will NOT send you away with a broken fix.
