The location makes sense as the residents of Williamsville are generally well-educated and worldly enough to appreciate authentic Yemeni cuisine; the same cannot be said for most of Buffalo suburbs, unfortunately, so I'm grateful the Buffalo metro now has one. Ordered the Qamaria latte, traditionally-spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. The spice notes were potent, but not at all overpowering and the beverage remained balanced. Had a chicken malawach as well; flaky and savory, and also well-spiced. It was a bit greasy which was the only regrettable thing about the experience, but not extremely and it didn't compromise the flavor or texture. The dining room itself was clean and elegantly decorated with Arabian and Gulf motifs, and the staff were friendly and helpful when my mother had questions about the menu. (I give any practicing Muslim props for working in food service while fasting during Ramadan.) All and all, grateful they're part of the community; I just hope they don't overexpand and sacrifice quality for quantity like many others.

When you first walk in, there is an array of pastries and sweet treats. I opted for the raspberry cream cake but was disappointed. It was dry and bland. My friend ordered the Biscoff cake that came in a soda can and hers was delicious. I probably just picked a bad one that day. The coffee was delicious and the latte art was very cute. I would like to return and try other pastries!

The Hello Dollies were absolutely delicious those were a definite highlight. Unfortunately, the cupcakes weren't what I was hoping for. I can't pinpoint exactly what was missing, but the flavors just didn't stand out to me the way I expected. I did try to ask a few questions about wedding tastings while I was there, but the worker helping me didn't seem very enthusiastic or willing to offer much guidance. Since this is such an important part of planning my wedding, that part of the experience felt a bit disappointing. Overall, while I was really rooting for this to be "the place" especially since it's a big and popular bakery I don't feel confident moving forward with them for my wedding desserts. I truly wanted to love everything, but the tasting just didn't click for me.

From the mini cakes, custom cakes, and cupcakes, you can NOT go wrong. My go to is the killer chocolate cupcake. The ambiance is a cross between your grandma's living room and a neighborhood cafe. There's breads, coffees, specialty drinks, cakes, cookies, pastries, and to go cakes. The service ranges from stellar to ok. On average, pretty good. I've never been disappointed with my treats and I'm a bit of a bake good snob as I'm a home baker myself. I live no where near here and don't mind a drive here for a great treat to self indulge or to share. Check them out!

Thank you to Linda and Frank! Yes I agree with you both on how nice this "little cafe in the rough"…read moreis! Great find! Great food, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. My daughter and I actually ate lunch inside the cafe at a table- wow! After doing only take-out for many months, we sure did appreciate eating inside...like the good ole days! We were the only patrons for quite a while. Later a few other patrons came in after attending a midday mass at the St. Gregory Catholic Church. Still, we were seated far apart, observing social distance. We were greeted and served by a very sweet lady. Both my daughter and I did the soup/sandwich combo. She had the chicken Caesar wrap and said it was yummy! I had a Reuben sandwich. Simple and delicious. We both had the homemade, hearty chicken gumbo soup. Loved the okra and chicken pieces loaded in the thick broth. It was superb, hit the spot. A+ We also enjoyed a plate of Pierogis. Lucky for us, pierogis are offered only during the current Lenten period. Cheese or potato onion - we loved both! We ordered a full plate for $6.50. Really, I've never had pierogi this delicious. Definitely homemade, a little on the small side in terms of quantity for the price. Yet still worth getting. Since it's Lent, the cafe is offering a fish fry dinner each Friday evening through March. It's take-out only. Pre-pay $11, or $12 at the door. As well, on Wednesday evenings, during Lent, the cafe is open for pizza night. The comfy sofas in the lounge area are calling us back to sip coffee, relax and chat with a friend. We are definitely coming back!

BAM, this cafe popped up. There are no signs on the road for it. I've passed by the enterance literally hundreds if not thousands of times. Thousands of cars pass it every day, completely unaware of what they are missing. All traffic slows down in front of it for a school zone. It's time to reveal where it actually is. It's in a back section of the Saint Gregory the Great church building. You can enter their parking lot either from their main enterance on Maple Road or from the side street St Gregory Ct. This cafe is open to the public, not just church members. Café hours: Sunday: 9 am - 2 pm Monday: CLOSED Tuesday: 7:30 am - 2 pm Wednesday: 7:30 am - 2 pm, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Thursday: 7:30 am - 2 pm Friday: 7:30 am - 2 pm Saturday: 8:30 am - 12 noon Now for what they offer. A selection of breakfast and lunch items. See the attached photo of their menu. The Fair Trade Coffee is delicious and you help yourself to free refills. On this visit I had a whole Reuben Panini and my wife had the soup and half panini combo and hot tea. The combo she ordered was a half Chicken Fajita Panini and New England Clam Chowder. All the food was absolute delicious. My Reuben was so flavorful I took my time eating the last bite. With the exception of some of the baked goods, everything is freshly made, in house, including the jumbo cookies. The cafe is so cheerful and comfortable it is a great place to go and have a leisurely breakfast, lunch or both. I was told that Wednesday nights are pizza night. The volunteer staff is extreme friendly and helpful. The only negative I see is that the when word gets out about this place and the lines will be running out the door.
