The place was gorgeous! The service was sweet and affable. I loved the bakery. I know they are contemplating a move with the changes at the Eastern Hills Mall. Come to Elmwood Village or the Five Points area! You would have lines out the door, BreadHive and Butter Block already do, and your treats deserve to have lines out the door whenever you are open!

Ordered the Qamaria latte, traditionally-spiced with cinnamon and cardamom. The spice notes were potent, but not at all overpowering and the beverage remained balanced. Had a chicken malawach as well; flaky and savory, and also well-spiced. It was a bit greasy which was the only regrettable thing about the experience, but not extremely and it didn't compromise the flavor or texture. The dining room itself was clean and elegantly decorated with Arabian and Gulf motifs, and the staff were friendly and helpful when my mother had questions about the menu. (I give any practicing Muslim props for working in food service while fasting during Ramadan.) All and all, grateful they're part of the community; I just hope they don't overexpand and sacrifice quality for quantity like many others.

I had read about legendary cinnamon scones and have been a huge scone kick (especially cinnamon!), so I had to try them. Not only do they make cinnamon though, they take a unique approach to their fruit scones by filling them with fruit jelly, so of course I tried a lemon blueberry filled scone too. The filled ones are better in theory than practice. The lemon flavor of the dough was almost nonexistent and the blueberry jam didn't spread well enough to help out the other lacking flavors. The cinnamon scone absolutely could have potential, but unfortunately mine was overly hard and crumbly - I wish I had asked for a specific, newer and lesser-baked one, but such is life :)

There was a line out the door (literally) for ordering, but they work very fast and efficient, so it didn't take too long. We got our cold brew coffee son after, the lox bagels showed up some minutes later. Their cold brew is very good; usually I add some milk, but this coffee doesn't need that at all. The everything bagel had a generous amount of lox, but I missed the tomato and onion. Maybe they were out of it or forgot because of the business.

Still, we were seated far apart, observing social distance. We were greeted and served by a very sweet lady. Both my daughter and I did the soup/sandwich combo. It's in a back section of the Saint Gregory the Great church building. You can enter their parking lot either from their main enterance on Maple Road or from the side street St Gregory Ct.
