Checked in late, was given wrong key. Room was clean. Heat & Ac worked nice. Toilet broke & hot water was not consistent. Room had Cable TV, spotty WiFi. Someone set off fireworks at night which was nice to watch. Breakfast included was OK, nothing special. Found a huge black spider in the bathroom and mosquito somehow snuck into the room. Room was a bit outdated & lacked decor. It also snowed one of the nights there. Plowing started way too late. Cars were stuck or were sliding downhill. Very dangerous situation considering the property is on a hill.

This place is well worth the money. Clean, large room , fair price, close to everything. I am getting sick of the national chains charging top dollar for second rate rooms and then adding a 'resort fee' on top of the room rate. None of that here. Our room with 2 queen beds (very comfy mattresses) was redone recently. We also had a deck with a view of the pool. This place gets my stamp of approval.

This rating is based on the type of hotel you are staying at. If you are staying here you are looking for an inexpensive stay in the North Conway area but don't want to sleep at a motor inn. This is that place. Great price. Check. Pet friendly for the dogs. Check. Free breakfast in the morning. Check. Now here are the pitfalls. The breakfast isn't going to be top quality especially with covid hitting. Your looking at bagels and danishes. Some cereal and some juice. But it's free and with kids quick and easy. Your not going to have Marriott quality furniture or crown molding. You may have a bad paint job or a patched up backward tile here or there or even sharpie on the tub to show you where the gauge has to be to make the run a shower but it all does the job. Cheap safe night stay in an expensive area. Also the back road it sits on is a great morning walk. 2.5 miles one way safe shaded and quiet with a bunch of other walkers or runners. Great family owned business. Nice pool amazing view. Save your money and stay here!

Hot tub in room

We decided last minute book the room with a hot tub in it and it was lovely, not very updated more of a cabin style but the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was great, along with the fireplace both only a couple feet away from the bed. It's very close to many local attractions and we got plenty of towels, good for the price!

This is our second stay this summer. We came up in July and fell in love with the Chalets and surrounding water attractions. The owner Sanjay is wonderful as well as his awesome staff. Jay at the front desk is very attentive and helpful. We have a large deck that overlooks the beautiful White Mountains. The breakfast is great with waffles, eggs and sausage. The pool is so warm and there are lots of umbrellas around the deck for shade while the pool itself is in full sun. It is a great way to spend the evening after a day on the river. I highly recommend this place and will be back again. Thanks so much Sanjay and team you have a new fan!

Very nice place. Excellent view, warm room, jacuzzi was wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

Cute

This place is adorable. My significant other and I came here this summer for a short weekend trip. We had driven past a few weeks earlier - spotted this cute Swiss themed establishment - and knew we had to come back again. We decided on late August and arrived as the sun was setting. The front desk staff was amazing and provided a quick check in. Our room was cute and comfortable. We were relaxing at the bon fire near the pool, watching the sun go down, when my man got down on one knee and proposed to me! It was the perfect moment in the perfect place. We were only planning on staying here one night but after that - we pushed it to two. We've decided this is *our spot* to celebrate our anniversary and definitely plan to come back next summer. Highly recommend this place! Everything was perfect.

Our room was stunning. My fiancé pre planned and had rose petals, candles, and champagne all set up by the staff for us. (Additional charge). There was a hot tub for two, a shower for two, and a nice additional seating area. In the morning there was fresh orange juice, coffee, and homemade options such as muffins and pastries. There were also some yogurt, fruit, and granola. Saturday night there was a complimentary cheese and wine night! They offered a mixed variety of cheeses, meats, and crackers. They also had two wine options, and a non alcoholic bubbly option. There was a huge almost pool sized hot tub, which could easily fit 16-20 people. They keep the water at a mild temperature, so that all can enjoy. On site, there was also an enormous work out room and an infrared sauna. There were quite a few amenities in the work out room - including a putting mat, a golf swing machine, a full body massage chair, a foot massager, and countless other options. We would recommended this place to any and everyone. The famous mulled cider candles are available for 21$ to purchase, we got a few. Having gone to the North Conway area for 10+ years - I can comfortably say that this place is a hidden gem. We will definitely be back.

First, I want to genuinely commend Chris, who went above and beyond and appeared to be one of the only consistent staff members throughout our stay. He was responsible for cooking breakfast, bartending, cleaning, and general hotel upkeep. We were told he had worked 10 days in a row, which speaks volumes about how severely understaffed this property was. His effort was appreciated--but no employee should be carrying an entire hotel. Because of the staffing shortages, cleanliness and maintenance suffered significantly. Several rooms--including one we reserved--were clearly neglected. A chair in one room was covered in marker scribbles, trash cans had no plastic liners, and housekeeping was unable to provide daily room refreshes. For the price paid, daily cleaning and upkeep should be standard. The amenities were especially disappointing. The hot tub was visibly dirty, with sludge and foam present, making it unusable. To make matters worse, all of the outdoor chairs appeared to have been carelessly thrown into a sloppy pile next to the hot tub, completely ruining the area. It looked unkempt, uninviting, and poorly managed--definitely not a space anyone would want to relax in or take photos near. The bar was technically open, but with so few employees, getting a drink involved long wait times, making the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable. Breakfast also fell far below expectations. The buffet was extremely basic and overcrowded, with only ONE waffle machine for a very large number of guests and minimal food option Overall, the cost of this stay did not align with the condition, cleanliness, service availability, or amenities provided. This is not a reflection of the hardworking staff--especially Chris--but rather a serious operational and staffing failure. Until these issues are addressed, this property does not meet expectations for a Marriott-branded hotel.

Otherwise, it's fairly barebones and minimalistic, but very clean. The beds were clean and reasonably comfortable. I didn't try the breakfast at this location but it looked like the usual Fairfield breakfast with cereal, yogurt, waffles, and a couple of hot items (eggs, breakfast meat). The dining area is large and spacious and looked well-maintained. It's a nice touch to have a skimobile in front of the hotel as homage to the past Mount Cranmore resort area that I used to vacation frequently. The staff in front was pretty polite and friendly, though I did not have to interact with them very much. This is a good choice if you wanted a hotel closer to the North Conway Village, though you probably still would have to drive or bike there.

The Inn allows us to have a feeling of "settling" in for the weekend. The rooms are cozy and large enough to move around easily. There is a small area with refrigerator, coffee or tea, ice & microwave as we are able to eat our meals/snacks there without going out if we choose to not leave the Inn. Glassware is provided for your wine, making cocktails etc. So easy! Having breakfast included is a wonderful start to our day & is very much appreciated as the views are relaxing & in the older style rooms makes it for a fun morning. Inn Keeper & owners have been very accommodating for anything we may need and always up for a little chat if you wish. They are obviously proud of the Inn. The large sitting room off the lobby entrance is my favorite for an afternoon fire, reading & a drink. Decorated very nicely & cozy. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the complimentary pantry was a great touch and always fully stocked. My husband also enjoyed a round of golf during our stay. The property is conveniently located, well maintained, and the staff consistently provided excellent service. We have previously stayed…read moreat the Omni Mount Washington on similar visits, but this time, I wanted a bigger room and to be closer to Story Land. This fit the bill, for about half the cost I rented one of the Fairlawn cottage suites, which included an updated guest room with a king sized bed; gas fireplace; a separate little living area with a pullout couch, which could be closed off by a set of glass French doors; and most importantly, our own private outdoor hot tub on a little covered porch off the bathroom (huge hit). My son and I were both very comfortable sharing this large, luxurious feeling space. The $30 per night resort fee includes access to amenities like a heated outdoor pool, which looked nice (we didn't use it, due to cooler air temps during our stay), various sports like tennis (which we also didn't use) and a shared self-serve pantry downstairs, for soft drinks, snacks and basic breakfast items. I agree with other posters who said that the pantry included nice choices but was not stocked consistently. On our first night, there was a nice selection of gelato in the freezer. The second night it was empty. On our second morning, they were super low on caffeinated coffee pods at 7 am, so I rationed my portions in consideration of other guests. The main restaurant looked too fancy for my five year old, but I wanted to check out the on site dining options so I made a reservation to eat at the Alpine Lodge for night two. We arrived just before 6, after a long day at Story Land. There was no one around to greet us or take us to our table. I waited around for a while, then guided my son to one of the many open tables. There was calm but upbeat live music, which we both liked. The bartender was warm, kind and also clearly overwhelmed. I tried to get the attention of the lounge server but she completely ignored us. It took close to two hours to get a cheeseburger and a plate of chicken tenders. I didn't even complain, but the bartender still comped one of my glasses of wine and was super apologetic. Overall, there were a couple of minor kinks but the inn felt like a great value. I've already recommended it to friends and family members and would stay there again.
