We stay at the Inn at Jackson each year for mother daughter weekend. This was our 3rd year. It's private for us while allowing us to roam the inn as we please. The Inn allows us to have a feeling of "settling" in for the weekend. The rooms are cozy and large enough to move around easily. The rooms are decorated in a way that brings you back in time for a bit. There is a small area with refrigerator, coffee or tea, ice & microwave as we are able to eat our meals/snacks there without going out if we choose to not leave the Inn. Glassware is provided for your wine, making cocktails etc. So easy! Having breakfast included is a wonderful start to our day & is very much appreciated as the views are relaxing & in the older style rooms makes it for a fun morning. Inn Keeper & owners have been very accommodating for anything we may need and always up for a little chat if you wish. They are obviously proud of the Inn. The large sitting room off the lobby entrance is my favorite for an afternoon fire, reading & a drink. Decorated very nicely & cozy. We encourage anyone to try this Inn if your looking for a personal touch and what you may want or need is definitely attended to. They make you feel like it's your home while you stay there. read more

If you're looking for a weekend getaway without being bothered by Inn keepers and the cleaning crew this is perfect. I like being left alone lol however, the room was freezing, even with the fireplace and electric heater. Windows are so drafty we used the sills as refrigeration for our water bottles! Bed is comfy. Breakfasts were good but what's with NH coffee? Every place I had coffee, it was terrible. I'm a coffee snob I guess. It's a cute place, needs some upgrading as it's a little outdated. Would I stay here again? Probably not. read more

Just a magnificent Inn. She's as stately as a galleon, warm and inviting and just so welcoming. The innkeeper, Michele is fantastic and her staff is phenomenal. We stayed in John Paul Jones room and loved it. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfasts were large and really, really delicious. Each day they had a little something for everyone. The Inn at Jackson is the coziest little inn in the sleepy little village of Jackson, NH. If you really want to escape reality and society for awhile (cell phone reception isn't so good here), then this is the place for you. The service is impeccable. The innkeepers are the friendliest you'll ever meet, without being too intrusive during your stay. The rooms are immaculate and well-appointed, most with gas fireplaces. You feel like you've got the run of the house during your stay. There is a lodge-like living room, complete with leather furniture, fireplace and DVDs to borrow. A screened porch runs the length of the back of the house for just sitting and relaxing. The best part is the breakfast room. A scrumptious breakfast is included every morning. You've got your pick of four different selections which change daily, along with coffee, tea, juice, fruit, cereal and baked goods. All made fresh every morning. The Inn has the best omelets I have ever tasted, mostly owing to the fresh off the farm eggs. Clearly, Inn At Jackson is an uber conveniently locate inn in a beautiful spot. The inn is in great repair, nicely furnished and establishes a wonderful ambiance as soon as you walk in. Why only a 2-Star rating? We found the Inn at Jackson online, called the number on the website and reserved our room over the phone just hours before the front desk person left for the evening. "I'll leave a key in an envelope for you," she said. She was polite and we were excited for our stay at this beautiful place. While this was true the problem was, unbeknownst to us, the inn was actually SOLD OUT. The room she reserved for us, without a word being said, was in a far lesser property a couple of miles up the road. This was a surprise and an awkward thing to sort out on our own at 10:00 pm. We literally "self-checked" ourselves in to a large, uninhabited, darkened inn with none one on premise. It was like an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Back at the Inn at Jackson the next morning the manager, Michelle, was only modestly sympathetic. "Didn't you read your email confirmation? It gave you the revised address there!" I didn't say it, but I felt a verbal discussion with her front desk clerk 3 hours before arrival followed by a "bing" confirmation in my inbox precluded me from the necessity to read the fine print. Just say'in. Sensing my growing and palpable displeasure, she offered to "make it right". At this point, her offer has yet to be received in the mail. We'll see. When (if) it arrives, I'll amend my review. read more

Very nice B&B in the heart of Jackson, overlooking the village. Welcoming lobby, fireplace in the study and in the main dining area. Seeing the fire going in the dining room on a cold rainy morning was a nice way to start the day. We loved the dining area that wrapped around the front of the Inn, looking out to the mountains! We stayed in the Lodge room; Molly Stark, which was clean and comfortable. The Victorian rooms are larger and have fireplaces and more elegant. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious and served by friendly staff. The only reason we wouldn't come back is due to the constant sound of the heating upstairs. We both didn't sleep much and for a ski weekend, this could really hamper an energetic day of skiing ahead of us. Other than that, the Inn is really well kept, and in a great location! read more

I love the Inn at Jackson! I get that cliché fuzzy feeling every time I think about my trip to Jackson, NH. I was there for a wedding at a different Inn down the street, but did a little research and found a more reasonably-priced room at the Inn at Jackson. And I'm thrilled that I did! Chris, the current innkeeper, is a dream employee for any inn owner. She is hard-working (literally the woman works around the clock), super-friendly (and it obviously comes so naturally for her, never a forced conversation or smile), and the woman makes a mean breakfast! When we arrived at the Inn, we had gotten one of the smaller rooms because it was pretty full. But Chris could *sense* our SLIGHT disappointment and really went out of her way to accommodate us in another room. She even moved our luggage to the next room when a better one became available and we were out-and-about. Breakfast was always delicious and the grounds are just beautiful. It's an old Inn, so the rooms are not pristine but they are quaint and authentic. I highly recommend the Inn at Jackson and I hope that one day Chris will purchase the Inn for herself so that she will certainly be there the next time I visit! read more

We have stayed here twice and would again the the future for sure. Aside from being very quiet and comfortable, the breakfast tops it all off. It is close (walking) to the cross country ski center, and (driving) to Wildcat mountain. My best B and B experience by far. read more

For people who don't "get" the B&B scene, my husband and I were pretty happy with the Inn at Jackson. We were there during a quiet time when there were just a couple of other rooms occupied, so we felt like we had free rein over the house. We weren't overwhelmed with too much togetherness with the innkeepers or other guests - just a nice balance of distance and friendliness without feeling smothered. Although room 1 is the only one on the first floor, it is also right off the front desk and stairs up, so there is definite noise during the day. At night until breakfast time it was pretty quiet, though. The Inn is located in walking distance to the pretty little town of Jackson and the local scenery is beautiful. I wished we had stayed here at the beginning of our trip while we were still fresh, rather than at the end when we were worn out. A minor quibble - the toilet is bolted to the wall and creaks alarmingly when sat upon. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, and the public spaces were very comfortable and very nicely decorated. If I knew someone going to the area, I'd definitely recommend staying here. read more

This Inn was perfect. Came here for a wedding and the staff were ALL amazing. Hors d'oeuvres were delicious, my main course of Prime Rib was probably the best piece of steak I've had in a while (heck, my table neighbor's lobster was soft, succulent and packed with flavor, I ate some when she wasn't sitting around, don't tell her). The owner of the location even stopped a scuffle from breaking out among its own wedding guests (seriously right??). I'd get married here. read more

The staff was great, although someone at the front desk made a mistake with our reservation and therefore we lost the room we actually chose- they luckily were not fully booked so we got another room. The room we were in was a little run down. I understand this is suppose to be a "older" inn feel but things like the carpet and bathroom tiles can be updated. There was some water damage in the bathroom on the times/walls that wasn't fixed and made the bathroom look a little disgusting. The shower head though was new which was a good thing. The free coffee, water, and snacks downstairs was a great addition. Loved our first B&B experience. Breakfast food was amazing, very good cook!! Quiet rooms, but very small TV. We stayed the week after Labor Day so the Inn was very quiet (maybe 25% occupied) for the entire length of our 4 night stay. The Inn is a bit on the older side but our room was very spacious and clean! We stayed in the Robert Frost room with a king bed and a large clean bathroom. The breakfast each morning was good and the homemade scones were amazing. Location is great with a short walk to the small village of Jackson and about 15 min drive to the outlets in Conway. We did a lot of hiking on the Franconia ridge side of White Mountain Forest which is about an hours drive. Overall it was a great experience and the staff was very accommodating! My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Jackson in September and absolutely loved it. The Inn itself is really pretty and in a great location. The price was great compared to some other inns and b&bs in the area. Our room was really nice, and although maybe slightly outdated we had everything we needed and it was clean and inviting. The breakfast was delicious and included in the price which was great. The staff was super helpful as well. All in all we had zero complaints about the inn and if we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again! read more

Let me start by saying the staff was great , very friendly and the breakfast was great but the place needs TLC. The front screened porch is loaded with dead bugs and con webs that haven't been cleaned in years. When you walk in the main area is very quaint and clean. My room on the other hand was very dated , it looks like it was remodeled in the 80s and that was the last time. The bathroom boarder and walls are peeling and carpet is old and room had a musty smell. The maids dont do a very good job the bathroom floor was dirty and you can tell the rug was not vacuumed. read more

Beautiful setting and lovely staff. The inn feels like home. We got in late and they left the keys waiting for us. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was excellent. I would highly recommend. Only downside was the mattress was older and they put a foam pillow top on it - my back didn't like that very much. But I guess that sort of thing is different for everyone. This is a very nice inn with good service and a good breakfast. A very friendly staff. There are regular bears (not aggressive) that frequent the property, making this a unique experience. Restaurants within walking distance and convenient to Mt. Washington. A good base for exploring the white mountains. My kids enjoyed their stay and they are kid friendly, even giving them each a stuffed moose as we left, which they loved. read more

We had our wedding here in August and it was a gorgeous, intimate wedding. We could not have imagined a more beautiful place to have our reception and festivities. All of our guests really loved staying at the inn. Chris, the inn keeper, and Don, the manager for the Inn at Jackson and Whitney's Inn, as well as our wedding coordinator, were both nothing short of amazing.They both put so much tireless work into our wedding and it could not have happened without their expertise.The only snag we ran into was that the stereo at the inn didn't work as we needed it to, but Don saved the day and borrowed one from Whitney's Inn. The food was absolutely delicious! Don helped out with plating, and without us asking him to, put a flower on each plate to match our wedding colors. Chris ran around making sure everything looked perfect and all the guests had what they needed. She makes to-die-for breakfasts and later saved us some chocolate covered strawberries, extra wedding cake and champagne and brought it up to the honeymoon suite for us to enjoy later. I can't even list all of the things they accomplished to make our wedding truly amazing. You definitely want those two on your team when things are hectic and many more things need to get done.
