Because the property was a floating home, holding an on-site estate sale was not possible, and with the pending sale we did not have time for a traditional liquidation process. We initially found an estate company that would have been ideal, but they ultimately determined that the job was beyond their scope. We then contacted Sorted Estates, and the experience was exceptional. Because we were working remotely, all coordination had to be done through photographs. We sent as many images as possible and explained that our goal was to have the floating home completely cleared. They provided an estimate based on that information and followed through exactly as promised. On the scheduled day, they arrived with two trucks and a five-person crew. By the end of the day, the home was entirely empty, with two full truckloads delivered to donation sites. Communication throughout the process was clear, responsive, and professional. Given the constraints and complexity of the situation, their performance was genuinely impressive.

As a Realtor with more than 36 years of experience, I've worked with many estate sale companies…read moreover the years, and to be honest, my experiences have often been less than impressive. Then I met Pete Banchieri from Alameda Estate Sales, and he completely changed my perspective. Pete took on one of the most challenging estate sales I've ever encountered. The home had been owned by the same family for more than 40 years, and it was filled with decades' worth of belongings. What impressed me most was Pete's incredible work ethic and attention to detail. He spent weeks carefully sorting valuables, donations, selling certain things online, arranging for appropriate items to be auctioned, and researching historical documents and collectibles, organizing the contents, and thoughtfully preparing everything for the sale. Because I had the opportunity to visit the property several times throughout the process, I was able to see firsthand the amount of work, care, and professionalism Pete and his team brought to the job. I was genuinely blown away by the transformation and the level of effort they invested. Pete and his crew did an outstanding job from start to finish. They exceeded every expectation and completely changed my previous apprehension about the estate sale industry. I highly recommend Pete and Alameda Estate Sales, and I will absolutely be using them for all of my future estate sale needs.

I went to the estate sale on Glen Dr in San Leandro last week. It would have given them a five star but as I was checking out, I noticed someone at the tables on the opposite side of me, looking at two loppers. I mentioned that I didn't notice the loppers earlier to the cashier (who was super sweet). She turned around to look at the loppers, then asked her colleague, who was stationed at the jewelry, if the loppers were on hold for someone. Instead of hearing what she was saying, he thought it was appropriate to get angry at the customer who was looking at them. He was so angry that he must have forgotten how to be a human, because basically just yelled at the customer, saying "No!" and huffed as he furiously waved to where I was standing, indicating that the customer should be on the side where I was standing. Did he think the customer couldn't speak English? Is that why he stopped using his words and just waved his hands? From a customers perspective, this was wildly off putting. Even my partner and his mom and the lady who checked me out were shocked.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my greatest appreciation to Kevin and the team…read morethrough the process of liquidating my parents' estate this past weekend. My parents were in the home for over 60 years and there were multiple surprises; the team separated those items for my review including items that had value and significance that were stashed away. My parents were merchants and in retirement had worked for a competitor estate sale company for over a decade where my father provided me with his (fatherly) advice to choose a compant with integrity. Kevin Black and his team showed integrity. The entire process took about six weeks where Kevin provided a balance between empathy and reality on execution of a successful sale in 2026. Kevin managed my expectations and the results were in line with his predictions. Kevin outlined what the strategy would be over the four-day sale and provided updates at each step. I see the critical success factors in this experience are as follows: Knowledge: A realistic approach on how to market and liquidate a large quantity and variety of goods in 21 hours over 4 days. Team: I was present for some of the preparation time and the team was extremely hard working and collaborative with one another to assemble and collate the merchandise for a coherent presentation. I feel like the team was there to maximize the return for the client. Marketing: Kevin is a master at marketing through all channels. For the items that could be challenging for effective sale over a weekend, he offered alternative solutions that I agreed to and was pleased with the results. Presentation: The initial opening of the sale, goods were effectively displayed and highlighted. Throughout the sale, as items sold, there was an executed strategy to bring the next items to the forefront. Communication: I wanted to give Kevin the space he needed to execute without being a high maintenance client and his updates put me at ease. As far as results, the proceeds were two times what I anticipated, no complaints from the neighbors, and the house was left in the condition promised. Kevin is the ultimate estate sale ringmaster from initiation to final clean-up.

We knew the situation called for an immediate estate sale. A call to the YES Co proved to be a blessing. The owner of the company, Kevin Black, responded to our needs without hesitation when most would have declined the job. Every room was filled to capacity with all sorts of personal property including artwork, jewelry, electronics, kitchen accessories and a hospital bed that took up most of the space in the bedroom. To us it all seemed too daunting a task, but not to Kevin! Within two days Kevin and his crew organized everything for viewing, with like items paired together, and created pathways for people to walk around. It was amazing what they were able to do in such a short period of time considering the hundreds of items for sale. Kevin's attention to detail remarkably included very clear signage throughout the premises. The sale was a true success in every way possible! The YES Co is a well-oiled machine thanks to Keven and his crew. We highly recommend Kevin Black's company for handling an estate sale of any size. They are the best!! Thank you so much.

This woman had been living in the same home for more than 50 years and her 3 adult children lived in different parts of the country. The children wanted me to help facilitate the process of cleaning out her home, shipping everything to them and getting the home ready for sale. That is something I simply could not manage on my own. I contacted Breeze and she brought in a team that handled everything. Breeze has been in the business for a long time and her experience shows. She was able to quickly assess the home. She advised on what furniture could be sold, what should be donated and where and what should be hauled away as trash. Her crew arrived on time and was professional the entire time. They handled the complete clean out of everything and the clients were pleased with the result. I highly recommend using It's a Breeze if you have to clean out a home. It would have taken much longer and cost much more and been far more stressful without her team.

There were No prices listed for most items upstairs, so you had to stand in a long line to ask a person (and then have to decide while standing there if you wanted something- I'd have probably bought more if there had been at least a price range/estimate while I was browsing). More annoyingly, they sold an EMPTY container of lotion to me. Everything in the bathroom looked new (in boxes or could be seen as full- e.g. a clear bottle of toner or still had a plastic seal on the top). I bought a couple of items (& reshelved a couple too pricey items) -- one of the items was mosturizer in an opaque jar (peter thomas roth) that the Pricer told me was worth $50+ bucks (which was why the total for my items was way more than I had tried to estimate, not knowing the prices or being familiar with some of the brands). I got home to find that mosturizer jar was EMPTY (there was enough to cover 1 finger/maybe cover 1 cheek). Yes, *I* should have checked, but also I feel like they could have split up (new vs. used) sections or even just put a note warning that some of the items were used - so I would have opened it before buying. (and of course there's no returns so I couldn't go back and ask for a non-empty one). sigh. Not sure I'll go to another one of their sales, or at least I will be very very cautious next time.
